What we need to be complaining about is why the government is telling people to wait 18 months for the vaccine. This is what's causing the panic. States executes their prisoners. Offer them an exchange for life, if they participate in the vaccine trials, so we don't waste time on chimpanzees. When they need the secondary trials, give them to all the prisoners who want a reduction in their sentence.

Why can't they just give 50 different vaccines to prisoners, and see what one works best. Then produce billions of doses. It shouldn't take more than 4 months to find a vaccine when billions of dollars are on the table. The government can only shut down the economy, and buy time for so long.

You have no accurate death rate as to this virus as the actual rate of people who have had the virus and never reported it or required treatment was or is known.

What we do have are stats showing only immune compromised people have gotten sick and even the majority of them have not died.

We also have proof  children and babies exposed to it are not getting ill.

Thus if anything you choose to buy into a panic frame of scenario reflective of someone who is oblivious to the true extent of viruses, flus, common colds around you and thinks this one is any different.

The British will soon have sufficient proof to show it is a common virus no worse than what happens every day with the flu.

Until then seriously you need to get a hold of your world is ending scenarios.

No there is relatively no panic but there are people like you trying to claim everyone is panicking like you. Luckily people like you prove themselves very quickly to make no sense and if anything to be pitied for their need to drag everyone down into their effluence.

Once again you do not think and spew out childish nonsense. Thousands of people already have been exposed and never got sick from the virus. This most likely means we can take the blood of such people and find out why they never got piggy backed by opportunistic infections. If anything it shows so far we may not even need a vacine for most people or we should focus on lung infections not the virus itself.

Common sense from you will clearly not happen on this. You just want to spread idiotic childish rhetoric.

These are stop gap measures until proper stats are gathered. Whatever ths gov. does you will question what they do. They are just slowing down human movement to get a better chance at reporting who has it since the illness is appearing to be both far more widespread and therefore not as fatal as it appears. It is about trying to track not just the movement but rate of piggy backing opportunistic infections so medical authorities know what to focus on. They probably could have done nothing as well and have people like you accuse them of genocide. Either way people like you will infer negative things.

We have no such statistics. We have statements that these are the most in danger. But there has been no suggestion from the medical experts that everyone EXCEPT such people are safe. I'd be pleased to see a citation otherwise.

I wonder what would happen, if you were to prick your finger and take an indirect infection into the bloodstream. Would it give your body enough time to produce antibodies before it reaches the lungs?

That's not really how antibodies work

In actual fact, your antibodies are like a fingerprint, everybody has different levels of defense

Some people have very strong antibodies, so what they do is separate out those people's blood, and that's how they make the vaccines, using their antibodies

Well they won’t, but then they’ll be reliant on other countries’ health systems.  Symptomatic people can’t come to Canada. That’s a pretty big measure, though Canada will support symptomatic travellers wishing to return through assistance abroad.

Really ?    Charter rights guarantee entry for Canadian nationals, unless some emergency measures are invoked.

They’re not allowed to board planes home as long as they are symptomatic or haven’t been cleared of the virus.  New policy today.  Too high risk. If you aren’t symptomatic you obviously can come immediately.
