Ethnic diversity harms a country's social cohesion

We've gone over this time and time again.

The habit is a uniform.  It's their job.  Same as other jobs that have uniforms.

Nuns are not required to wear habits at all times. Nor are they beaten or thrown in prison or threatened with eternal hellfire if they are caught without it on.

Full agreement. Comparing the two is disingenuous.

Muslim men are supposed to cover their heads also:

So are Sikhs via turban, and popes and cardinals and bishops etc, so are Jewish men:

Supposed to and actual are two different things. Many Jews are not Orthodox...so no yarmulke.

Sharia isn't the law of the land, either. Yet, anyways.

Right, and we're no longer ruled by the Pope and the Holy Roman Empire either, or sent on jihad crusades to free the holy land in Israel from the infidels.

A niqab and burka undermine social cohesion because it's segregation of sexes in day to day life.  A hijab doesn't force segregation.  Some parts of Islam forces segragation, but a hijab does not in itself.  Hiding behind a mask is much different than covering your hair and ears.  But I can't convince a hateful Islamophobia.

Edit:  get out more, go talk to some Muslims.

As soon as Islam represents a certain percentage of the population, Muslims demand access to the Sharia. Once they're the majority, you can expect Sharia in some form to be implemented. Sharia affects/applies to non-Muslims as well as Muslims.

Sure.  There's no way they will become majority though.  The Chinese and south asians will beat them to it if anything.

You have no way of knowing the future unless you have a time machine. And if that's the case: I'd like to buy your time machine.

Nuns join the Catholic Church. Islam demands ALL women cover themselves.

Not even all Muslim women cover themselves, even in Muslim majority countries.  Many Muslims do not even believe Islam demands it. You are clearly attempting to spread misinformation.   Stop it.

You're free to defend Islam. But Islam will still demand that you join the faith to cement the support that you give. The Quran states that women are to veil themselves. Who are you to question Allah's orders?

And just so dialamah can research the verse rather than try and hunt it down...

And tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, their brothers' sons, their sisters' sons, their women, that which their right hands possess, or those male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.

And to avoid confusion: I did not write the Quran.

Allah wrote the Quran as dictated to Muhammad after his night ride to the furthest mosque.

If you twist things enough, you can believe that's happening or even successful.  This is straight out fear-mongering.

More scare-mongering; there are plenty of examples where a country applies Sharia only to Muslims, Egypt being just one example

"HOW WOULD THE ISLAMIC SHARIA APPLY TO NON-MUSLIM EGYPTIANS?

Here the current approach of the Egyptian legal order is clear: each recognized religious community is free to have its own affairs governed by its own personal status law. Regular Egyptian courts regularly adjudicate such cases for all Egyptians, Muslims and non-Muslims alike, but simply shift the law applied; there are not separate courts for each religious community and the judges in personal status courts come out of the regular judiciary."

You think that's goofy?   Shit, there are other religions out the that tell you to pray to some imaginary spook and you will live forever.

Egypt treatment of its Coptic Christians says all one needs to know about Sharia and Non-Muslims.

Again: you're free to support this death cult known as Islam. Getting everybody to respect and love it as YOU do is going to be difficult if not impossible. Not everybody wants to be lorded over by Islam nor do they wish to be forced to respect it anymore than they'd wish to respect Catholicism or any other cult.

Sure...but it doesn't kill you if you say 'that's a buncha nonsense' and leave.

crusaders might not agree.

If you REALLY want the country to work, no need to ban immigration, just ban religion.

I doubt you understand the Crusades seeing that comment.

I don't think you can ban a religion...you can try...but you'll be disappointed.

I don't understand the crusades, progroms, jihad, etc.   NOTHING to do with religion makes any sense whatsoever to me (other than edicts to prevent death from food - such as by trichinosis)

The Crusades are a part of history and are really interesting as that goes. Worth a look.

People's personal behavior and systemic discrimination is common in Egypt, I agree.  Nonetheless, the legal system is set up so that non-Muslims are not under Sharia.  Malaysia is another country where Sharia only applies to Muslims, even though it's a Muslim-majority country.  Even so, Sharia plays a smaller role than secular, common law systems.  These are just two of many examples which include countries in North Africa as well as the Middle East.

These examples disprove your claim that everybody under Islamic rule is (or would be) subject to Sharia wrong, and your continued claim is just fear-mongering.

Many countries claim to be Sharia for Muslims only right-up until there's a conflict between what Islam would dictate as opposed to secular law. Inheritance, marriage, child custody, etc. You can't trust ANY religion to play nice with secularism.

Sadly, atheism is actually shrinking as the planet's population explodes. All part of that joyous diversity where enemies living together in the same house is supposed to make them stronger. Like some crazy reality show...eh?
