Despite Wernick being an obvious Liberal Party of Canada hack engaging in Democrat Party style #Resistance hysteria, I still love him for it.

Because what he is doing, is a mutiny of sorts, he is stepping in front of Trudeau, to speak his truth as JWR says, invoking Elizabeth Windsor herself to do it.

Thus, his supreme loyalty to the Queen, gets him a pass, despite the  partisanship.

He's basically just my counterpart on the left, both of us engaging in an American style Hurly Burly rough n' ready democracy.

None the less, he enjoys my protection; no enemies in the House of Windsor, he is a Soldier of my Crown.

Quite frankly, I would take a bullet for him,  if his prediction of shots fired were to come to pass, and it was in my power,  I would go to the defence of HM Clerk of the Privy Council, without hesitation; Pro Patria, stand to, stand to.

No, you just need to explain answer the question.

Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.

You indicated that you liked a comment of mine a few posts back. What is it that you liked about it?

I voted no, since it is very unlikely a Liberal of any kind would stoop to telling the truth.  Let's face it: you couldn't BE part of the party, never mind minister of anything if you hadn't bought into the Big Lie in the first place.  On the other hand: she IS a lawyer, so by very definition her ethics and allegiance is for sale to the highest bidder.  When one chooses to make their living by causing the misery of others and lying for them, it is not a big leap to go either way.  So the question:  is she really a Liberal or a lawyer??  Time will tell.

I would like to see Jody Wilson-Raybould join the Green Party. She and Elizabeth May would be awesome! Both extremely competent and ... they both tell the truth and have integrity !

Imagine honesty and integrity in power!

That would be a first!

I was delighted to see her come fourth and give her account (and notes, recordings, etc.), and I think she deserves a future in the political landscape of this country.  I could not agree more with her position on prosecutorial independence and political interference.   BUT: as much as I believe you are right about she and Elizabeth May making a great pair,  I think her ambition is to fix the Liberal Party - and that gives her a far bigger stage on which to play than being part of a fringe party.

I think she sees now that ths Liberal Party (and Conservative Party) is too entrenched in the pockets of big industry, and can't be fixed.

The Greens won't be fringe for long.

While that may be true, the corruption and rule-by-special-interest perfected by Power Corp....er...sorry, I meant LPC is a real problem for Canada that needs to be fixed.  That fix has come from within.  She may well be the Liberal to do it.

It would be great for the opposition to represent the people instead of the trough.

No, the Liberals (and Conservatives) can't be fixed. They'll just be beaten, and the corrupt and dirty industries that sustain them will fail.

There are HUGE changes coming.

Women and children are taking the lead. :D

Well, she us not crossing the floor, she has announced her intention to run as a liberal again.  Trudeau is going to have to live with her in the caucus.
