The Slow Painful Death of the Trump Administration

Of course they will....Donald Trump is the 45th President of the United States and he created American political history.

There is likely to be a much friendlier face towards the USA from ol' Canada this Fall. Providing the Liberals don't cheat or something like that...seeing their propensity towards criminal behaviour.

:D

Then, perhaps, we can all make a few things great again.

The critics whine...it's all they've got.

Yes, and made the US the laughing stock of the entire world. First time that has been done. Not something to be proud of though. <_<

Very proud of it....the world watched political history being made...they don't watch Canadian politics (too boring and irrelevant).

Being proud of being the world laughing stock reveals much about you. None of it impressive, aside from the sheer ignorance involved. Must be desperate for something of which to be proud.;)

Hey...it's all good.   15% of polled Canadians wanted to vote for Barack Obama back in 2008 too....instead of their own elections.

Americans elections matter....even in Canada...who knew ?

Quite to the contrary...it highlights just how important the U.S. is in the overall scheme of things compared to many other nations...including Canada.

Thank you for confirming this...again.

Yes...Americans are very much in space...much more so than Canadians.   The only humans to walk on the moon have all been Americans....unemployed Avro Canada engineers helped to get them there after they found much better jobs in the USA.

I understand the Skunk Works has been brewing-up this hombre for a while now and is nearing prototype if not already doing so...what was that loud bang, anyways??

I love it....Donald Trump...Commander in Chief of the United States Space Force !

(But my retirement fund is more dependent on the Northrup Grumman RQ-180.)

Yes, she's a beauty...while maintaining a sinister appearance. Both will preform similar roles...global recon & strike...one fast...the other slower...Blackbird & U2 Part II.

It's the SLS that needs more funding. But, who knows? Perhaps it will get what it needs before 2020. Florida has a lot of NASA employee types that need a mission...and surely Trump needs Florida.

Team Trump knows that the U.S. needs an American, human rated launch system (can't say "man rated" anymore).   Trudeau would say "peoplekind" rated.

There are priorities that go far beyond the geo-political discomfort with dependence on the Russian Federation.

It's the heavy-lift (bigger than the Saturn V) config that seems to have hit a funding snag at least with the White House. Too much reliance on Mr Musk for a human-rated Moon capable vehicle...even he can have a Challenger moment. Best to be redundant when redundancy counts, I say.

The ISS is nearing its best by date...and a new station will be needed either way one goes with big boosters. Russia wants to do Mir II...modular...much like the ISS. Not sure if the US has thought too much about it. But likely a similar idea as it's just plain easier than building it up there.

Well, to be fair, Trump is facing the same budget problem that Nixon and the original Apollo/Saturn V program faced back in the early 1970's.   They cancelled Apollo after 17 and used remaining boosters for Skylab.

Need the ChiComs in space to really put the scare back into NASA priorities.

They never should have put civilians at risk with STS...eroding public support.

No bucks...no Buck Rogers.

---The Right Stuff

I've no doubt that Elon is going back before NASA at this point which is pretty funny all things considered.

As I've mentioned before, the Red Chinese discovered something the US knew about since 1965. Using hypergolic fuel for manned launches produces a nasty pogo oscillation that is literally very, very hard to stomach. They had to make the instrument readouts on the Gemini-Titan II BIG so that so that they were easier to read (eyeball vibration)...thanks Gus & John...found out the hard way...poor guys. So we've not seen many Chinese in space. Not to mention the Long March is pretty dubious safety-wise for crewed launches (see Gemini VIa with its near disastrous pad abort ). They need a LOX/Kerosene type of set-up...much safer.

Yes...plus, trained astronauts got bumped for the teachers in space program. Bad for moral.

Love that quote....and something has been lost from that time of much greater risk taking.

One in nine military pilots use to routinely die from training through retirement...that's the price for wings and the best women at the 'O' Club.

It wasn't until the rather amazing Col. Eileen Collins that the US put a real female test pilot at the helm of the beast. She has logged a lot of hours in orbit. Shame she never went to the Moon.

Trump had her on the list to head-up NASA...but we got Bridenstine...at least he's a Navy man.

:)

I'm sure Congress would fund SLS if NASA promised to send Trump to the moon on a one way trip.

You ignore answers you don't want to see. Deny facts, lie about everything, ignore reality. I guess that is the fee for entry into the Fan club...that and the lobotomy. You too immature to write bitch too?

You just described every Trump hater I've ever encountered, including yourself. Self awareness is not your strong suit, but projecting your own flaws on others sure is.
