An Afghan Air Force A-29 Super Tucano does a close support demo. This is a light attack aircraft...turbojet powered as you can see from the high speed. If Canada treated its military better, each regiment would have a few of these for organic support as well as dedicated attack helicopters. Think mini-A-10.

Not realistic for Canada to be deployed in great scale.

With the overhead baked into the budget, which is not equipment, rather personnel costs and bases, it's not realistic for Canada to field many different platforms.

Logistics and training is the cost of a platform, the CAS role is the CF-18, they can't afford to run another platform in that same role, particularly not a dedicated platform for CAS only.

At best, what they could do is stand up 428 Ghost Squadron as a Special Tactics Squadron, then have different flights.

A flight of C-295 as both a light transport and armed ISR for CANSOF

A flight of the CH-149 in the Commando Cormorant role for CANSOF & SAR

A flight of the MC-12W Liberty covert ISR which they just bought for CANSOF

And then you could have a flight of COIN birds as part of CANSOF Special Tactics Aviation.

CANSOFCOM is where the budget is going, the Air Force needs to get on board, their resistance to going all in with CANSOFCOM is sidelining them in the budget war.

A Cambridge student asks Jordan Peterson a carefully thought-out and enunciated question on whether the world will pull together now to fight climate change.

"No."

Peterson gives a short, concise, educated answer on just what the world can and cannot do about climate change and global warming.

A classy video of the drive into Toronto at night. The city certainly has changed since I was last there.

I've been to Toronto many times and I love every single time I visit!

Douglas Murray explains identity politics, and the Marxist basis for it, as well as the lack of intellectual substance behind the whole idea of intersectionality.

Never seen a more beautiful, modern, orderly city as this. And yet with all its hyper modern skyscrapers it still has tons of greenery in its streets.
