America under President Trump

True,  whatever profits his businesses have lost from people who are now repulsed by him, I’m sure he’s made up from new business from Saudis, lobbyists, conies and his own self-dealing.

Profits from the Saudis are plenty good enough for Trudeau and London, Ontario voters...so plenty good enough for Trump.

Unlike Trump, Trudeau doesn’t own that business or personally profit from it.  And it was Harper’s arms deal anyway.

Doesn't matter....Canada's government stands by the deal to export billions worth of offensive weapons systems to the Saudis, and voters want the jobs in Ontario.

Trudeau didn’t take unprecedented and action never before seen in Canada or probably elsewhere to cancel a multi-billion dollar arms deal that’s already well underway and approved by the previous  government before he took office, which have resulted in decades of lawsuits and millions of dollars in legal fees .....you seriously think that’s the same as Trump doling out favours to foreign regimes who personally enrich him by frequenting his businesses?  That’s fucking idiotic.

See Jean Chretien and the canceled rotary wing aircraft contract that cost Canada $500 million.

No...it is far worse when your government pretends to cry tears over "human rights" and peace but continues to export the war machines anyway.

Not even close in comparison in size or how far along the contact had gone. Besides in that case we were the equipment purchaser, not the seller and we paid the cancellation fees specified in the contract. Totally different.  Nice try though.

That’s a typical day in America. Given Republicans since Reagan alone have a track record of selling chemical weapons to Saddam Hussein and all sorts of missiles and hardware  to Iran, creating and/or funding the Taliban, Al Qaeda, numerous  Latin American death squads and drug cartels that’s pretty fucking rich.   Spare me your crocodile tears

You said it was about the money...so...wrong !

But I am not the one crying croc tears...that's Canada's schtick.    Canadian exports are involved in numerous conflicts around the world...just good business !

Huh? You’re not even making sense anymore   Just must be desperate for an excuse to increase your “post count” or something

Sure there’s some here and there. We don’t make that much military hardware to begin with and most export contracts are relatively small but there’s usually a bit of our kit out there in some conflict or another. Again USA is number one in that regard and dwarfs anyone else in the world so I’m not sure what you’re complaining about. US remains the number one backer of the Saudis.   At least we don’t sell to Saddam Hussein, the Taliban, Iran and drug Cartels like Republicans have done over  and over again.  I know you’re trying to make it seem like we’re no better than you - which is not the own you think it is - but yeah I can say categorically despite our many shortcomings and misdeeds Canada is morally superior to the US and for almost everyone but the richest 1%,  life in Canada is way better than in the US

Being "morally superior" does not pay the bills or "protect the post WW2 order", so that is why Canada's government(s) and economy are so dependent and worried about the U.S., with or without Trump.

Canadian media is already tied up in knots trying to figure out this election and "what it means for Canada".    Most Americans don't give a damn about your elections.

Being morally superior isn't important but when trump wants a photo op at a church its time to break out the tear gas.

So what?  Canadians don’t give a damn that Americans don’t give a damn about our elections (but here you are on a Canadian forum anyway ?)

Nobody's done more har to the post-ww2 order than Trump who literally actually trying to shift the balance of power n that order from the West to Russia. Pretty comical you would even being that up.

And again I would say we’ve paid the bills just fine even in the current economic situation. It’s hard to see how any Republican has “paid the bills” better than any Canadian government given that Republicans including Trump always run up the biggest budget deficits

Unlawful protests, looting, and rioting will get a lot more than just tear gas....long before Trump.

Same goes for G20 meetings in Toronto, Ontario.   More than 1,000 arrested !

Morally superior.....LOL !!

The clearing of demonstrators from Lafayette Square was widely condemned as excessive and an affront to the First Amendment right to freedom of assembly.

It's true, 2nd ammendment is more important than the first.  It is a greater number after all.

But they do...begging for mention in American media.   Trump gave Canada lots of attention....so Canada flipped out.

It is more comical that your foreign minister (at the time) would beg Trump and the Americans to continue paying the most in blood and treasure to protect the "post WW2 order" while Canada is one of the worst NATO deadbeats.

Sure...Canada has paid the bills with lopsided dependence on the U.S. export market, capital investment, corporate ownership, and defence.   Even now, Canada has one of the highest unemployment rates in the G7.

I can have both.  I just can't buy rocket launchers and machine guns, a must have for home defence when you live in a war zone I guess.

But you have the right to neither.    I have socks that are older than Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Some Canadians spend a lot of time worrying about the rights of Americans, from abortions to guns.   They say it's because it "affects us".....then vassal state.

America loves being the only kid on the western block with a big military. You think it wants to share military  power with France and Germany?  It loves the fact that it’s almost impossible for NATO to do anything without US involvement. That’s by design. That’s part of the post-WW2 order. Trump just wants to empower Russia. Period.

The 1982 charter stems from the Canadian bill of rights (1960), which stemmed from Saskatchewan bill of rights (1947), which stemmed from the implied bill of rights (1938) which stemmed from the English bill of rights (1689).

Get new socks.

Some Americans spend a lot of time on Canadian chat websites even though they say Canada isn’t significant to them.  Kind of like the girl who texts you every single day to tell you that she’s over you.

That's right....you are beginning to figure this game out....but taking much longer than others.

American content....American forum engine....American hosting.....Americans.

Ignore America and I go away forever....but you (Canada)...can't.
