Guest Posted February 5, 2016 Report Posted February 5, 2016 Usually it's a classical piece. Vivaldi's Winter. Beethoven's Ninth. Wagner's Pilgrims Chorus. That kind of thing. A lot depends on my mood. Quote
Hal 9000 Posted February 5, 2016 Report Posted February 5, 2016 (edited) Van Morrison. Edited February 5, 2016 by Hal 9000 Quote The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so. - Ronald Reagan I have said that the Western world is just as violent as the Islamic world - Dialamah Europe seems to excel at fooling people to immigrate there from the ME only to chew them up and spit them back. - Eyeball Unfortunately our policies have contributed to retarding and limiting their (Muslim's) society's natural progression towards the same enlightened state we take for granted. - Eyeball

Guest Posted February 5, 2016 Report Posted February 5, 2016 Here Put this on, crank it up, turn the lights off, stand in front of the speakers like a gymnast who just nailed the perfect landing, and see if you can hold it together at about 2:20. Quote

Well i did as you suggested. You can't help but get a lift from that, (even if you don't understand the words) I used to sing in a choir and as amateur as we were, I miss it. Guest Posted February 5, 2016 Report Posted February 5, 2016 I never could sing. It's a regret. It doesn't stop me from trying when I'm alone though. Quote
On Guard for Thee Posted February 5, 2016 Author Report Posted February 5, 2016 I hope my idea doesn't turn into a pop chart. I just look forward to some insights beyond the political. Quote

On Guard for Thee Posted February 5, 2016 Author Report Posted February 5, 2016 (edited) I agree with this. I've always been a huge Van Morrison fan. I recall years ago watching a live hallowe'en thing from Dublin and who but Van walks in apparently totally unscripted (it sure seemed so) and sat on a stool and played a couple of tunes. Priceless. I guess I forgot to say it was in a pub. But you may have guessed that. Edited February 5, 2016 by On Guard for Thee Quote
