Guest
Usually it's a classical piece. Vivaldi's Winter. Beethoven's Ninth. Wagner's Pilgrims Chorus. That kind of thing. A lot depends on my mood.

Guest
Here Put this on, crank it up, turn the lights off, stand in front of the speakers like a gymnast who just nailed the perfect landing, and see if you can hold it together at about 2:20. Well i did as you suggested. You can't help but get a lift from that, (even if you don't understand the words) I used to sing in a choir and as amateur as we were, I miss it. It's one effective way to learn teamwork.
Guest
I never could sing. It's a regret. It doesn't stop me from trying when I'm alone though.

Hey, you don't need concert pitch to be able to sing. Ask Tom Waits for instance.
On Guard for Thee
I agree with this. I've always been a huge Van Morrison fan. I recall years ago watching a live hallowe'en thing from Dublin and who but Van walks in apparently totally unscripted (it sure seemed so) and sat on a stool and played a couple of tunes. Priceless. I guess I forgot to say it was in a pub. But you may have guessed that. Edited February 5, 2016 by On Guard for Thee

Big Guy
After coming home on Nov 11, after the commemorative dinner at the legion, I like to pour myself a good glass of single malt scotch, put the following on at high volume, turn out the lights and remember: Amazing Grace Bagpipes Edited February 5, 2016 by Big Guy
