WWWTT Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 But then again it's the WWWTT's in the world that are the first to scream bloody murder when a terrorist attack does happen, and could not be prevented..Thats the problem with a democracy is'nt it , majority rules you don't have to like it just live with it.... More made up BS! You've got nothing to support the billions sorry trillions spent to fight in the middle East, the countless lives lost, and still counting, so all you're left with is making up a bunch of garbage. Army Guy Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 Call it what you want....but the majority of Canadians have spoken with their votes, and they said we should punish those pesky terrorist in the middle east.....but then again thats what happens when you stick your head in the sand the world passes you by.... Quote We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.

PIK Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 FLQ were terrorists and have blood on their hands And was this soldier not a deserter?? And did 6 not die trying to find him?? Quote Toronto, like a roach motel in the middle of a pretty living room.
overthere Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 Bergdahl is definitely an odd duck with an unusual background story, including how he came to be in Taliban custody. And he is not yet 'back'. While he is out of Afghanistan, he remains in US custody.... it is unclear if he'll go home to his family or into a military prison awaiting a court martial. A couple of factors probably had some bearing on the Americans negotiating an exchange. He is reportedly in poor health and getting him out alive is better than abandoning him to die. The US is also winding down rapidly in Afghanistan and don't want the optics of leaving behind their only POW, though there is discussion about that status. Quote Science too hard for you? Signals.Cpl Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 FLQ were terrorists and have blood on their hands And was this soldier not a deserter?? And did 6 not die trying to find him?? I believe the logic behind this is that he is one of ours, he might have deserted but we want him back and deal with him ourselves. A US navy officer I believe put it this way, you might fall of the ship or jump off but we will come back and look for you regardless... So its kinda like leave no man behind wether he deserves to be left behind or not. Quote Hope for the Best, Prepare for the Worst
Signals.Cpl Posted June 3, 2014 Report Posted June 3, 2014 Your a piss poor debater and the proof is in your comments for all to see! Coming from someone like you who couldn't debate his way out of paper bag, I would think you calling someone else a "piss poor debater" is a compliment. I mean I get dumber every time I read one of your posts so if you call someone a piss poor debater that to me means the exact opposite. In this thread just like any other I have seen you "participate" in, you throw a tantrum and demand proof, you get proof and then throw a bigger tantrum to make yourself feel good... You contributed nothing to this discussion and seeing your piss poor level of understanding of BASIC facts about the world we live in, I suggest you start reading a wide range of literature rather than the propaganda that your political party of choice provides and maybe just maybe you can have an intelligent discussion...in 20 years or so. So its kinda like leave no man behind wether he deserves to be left behind or not. The calls to leave him there are just silly. Judging this guy before the full story is out is idiotic. What if he had a mental break? (known to happen in a war zone) Better to get him back and then sort out the issues. The USA doesn't need the Taliban to incarcerate/punish its soldiers... If he is a deserter, bring him back and deal with him. Also, UK papers are not known for getting stories correct. They are all about sensationalism. I wouldn't read a story in a UK rag without taking it with a grain of salt. Quote
