I get a lot of replies from you when I was not asking you, but then it happens anyways. The reason I reported your posts is because you are very abrasive in responding to posts while twisting what people say into something they did not say. But somehow I am part of the problem? Almost sounds like you are trolling here.

Big Guy Posted July 19, 2016 Report Posted July 19, 2016 Well I'm 26 times in and zero reports other than a query as to a death threat made against me and my family long ago by a member long since removed. The suspension period can be useful. That may be the time to do a little introspection as to why you are participating on this board. I had been spending about 3 hours a day on the computer, 1 of which was spent on this site. My "time off" gave me an opportunity to reflect on what I was enjoying and what I was wasting on trolls. Since then, I have been far more selective on what I comment on and who I respond to. It also gave me an opportunity to discover Reddit and other interesting sites. When somebody gives you lemons, look for the limes - you may develop new tastes. I think a lot of difficulties arise when there is a serious dialogue taking place between two or three different posters and then one of the resident agitators jumps in to just create problems or pick an argument because they are being ignored. I submit that those who comment on everything have knowledge of nothing. Note - For those expecting a response from Big Guy: I generally do not read or respond to posts longer then 300 words nor to parsed comments.

Interesting how you continue to believe that being suspended so often can't be your behavior, it must be everyone else - "opponents" who are taking you out via reporting, moderators rubberstamping reports with an automatic ban, conspiracy. My last 'crime' was apparently pointing out to a poster who was incorrect that the CIA's role in the Iran Coup was 'X'....not 'Y'. This was apparently a no-no using today's...errr...rules. The first step is admitting there is a problem. I'm sorry if you've found the report button handy in the past. But I think it's time to review its use. Now...I can do thirty days no problem. Can you? Let's experiment. I'm a long-time poster here and would like to suggest this change to the rules. Nothing cracks a turtle like Leon Uris.

People don't deserve to be banned just because they engaged in debate with you and you were banned. If you think their posts are inappropriate and they should suffer banning, then report them. If you think reporting is beneath you, then don't whine if you are the only one getting reported and banned. As for not engaging in 'personal attacks' ...... I don't conduct personal attacks and use history to confront stupid claims made by you You barely missed the 'personal attack' standard by calling claims 'stupid', but if that's the style of posting you are using, it's not too surprising you are being reported. It's arrogant, abrasive, rude and doesn't show any respect for an opposing point-of-view.

Members have already admitted doing this exact thing....reporting me over and over for 'twisting words' or 'abrasive replies'...whatever that is. No doubt I would be viewed as the lone culprit in these exchanges...known troublemaker. Why is he a known troublemaker? Well, he's reported as one over and over...of course. I would be quite surprised if, hacking into the report software, it didn't emerge that those outraged people are far and away more likely to report the slightest transgression of those on the Right than is the reverse. I know I never used to report people, except spammers, until I realized this. It's like a damned Trump Rally around here.
