It's not the same as Nazi Germany, but there are some similarities. Really? Which portion of the constitution has been suspended? What rights have Americans lost? I believe most are good people, many of whom enter that career with the intent of helping others. Being a policeman is still a respected position in society. I also believe that the major problem in the USA is the ease with which one can get a gun. It is estimated that there are about 300 million guns out in the public in the USA. That translates into 1 gun for every man, woman and child. Under those conditions, I would assume that when a policeman is involved in a confrontation with another person then he has to assume that the person has or has access to a gun. Under those conditions, when the bullets fly very easily and very quickly, mistakes happen often.
