"To be clear, I never personally saw Mr. Dale peering over the fence or taking pictures," Ford said in council chambers on Tuesday. ... then blames the media. Quote

jacee Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 (edited) Lots of "sorry" at Toronto City Council ... http://www.torontosun.com/2013/12/17/showdown-expected-at-toronto-city-hall Councillor Adam Vaughan also clarified Tuesday that he didnt call anyone in the council chamber a moron on Monday. Vaughan explained that on Monday night, Ford claimed that Vaughan saving the city money was an oxymoron. My response, which was probably not wise on my part, was doing oxy makes you a moron, Vaughan said. !! Edited December 18, 2013 by jacee Quote

On Guard for Thee Posted December 18, 2013 Report Posted December 18, 2013 Looks like Rob may not be the only embarrassment in the TO city hall these days. I liked the little dance number during a council meeting, especially when the speaker got into it 5 minutes after trying to rein in Ford during his "apology?" Also the deputy mayor went on record saying he thought the mayor was sincere. My God has the air pollution gotten that bad down there, or is all of city hall on crack these days? Oh well, the American late night comedy guys don't have to look far for material nowadays. I wonder if the city has garnered as much business from the buffoonery. Quote

He spends his time as mayor 'buying' votes with such favours. He thinks that's his job.Meanwhile the priority list of jobs - the people waiting their turn for their street - is irrelevant. jacee Posted December 19, 2013 Report Posted December 19, 2013 Ford's lawyer writes a proper apology and retraction, Ford delivers, Dale accepts I wholly retract my statements and apologize to Mr. Dale without reservation for what I said," Ford said in a statement. "There is absolutely no basis for the statement I made about Daniel Dale taking pictures of children or any insinuations I made," Ford added. Ford went on to retract other statements, including that Dale had been found "lurking" or "leering" near his property. Within minutes, Dale indicated via Twitter he was dropping his legal action against Ford. Quote
Rue Posted December 19, 2013 Report Posted December 19, 2013 (edited) It aint over until the fat boy stops singing. You know the expression and the fat boy aint finished singin or dancing. Bet he is getting hungrier by the day since there hasnt been a damn thing to eat since mid November I don't know where you get the whore sentiment. If he had said "Women loves diamonds" would that have been just fine? I think he was just saying it's hard to buy for women so he should just get them money to get what they want. People really get worked up over everything this guys says. Quote

Boges Posted December 19, 2013 Report Posted December 19, 2013 I think youre trying too hard to defend him. Not really , but most of what he says is moronic I've sort of given up defending him, he's pretty much a trainwreck. But people monitor everything that comes out of his mouth looking for something to be outraged about. I don't think this is one of those things to get worked up over. Quote
