No Bleep there's a suburb/urban conflict. People differ on ways once wants to live their life.

Interestingly enough in rural environments bikes can be provide an annoyance too. This happens when large groups of people trying to re-enact the Tour de France on the weekend.

The cyclists I know are almost all of them libertarian. That might backfire as a wedge issue for conservatives.

Not that wedge issues don't usually backfire.

But yeah it is a first world problem.

They have a right to be there.

Better in a peleton than having to hop scotch them for miles upon miles.

If it that doesnt work, those damn tractors pulling hay and shite ....wich to hell theyd ride the trails instead.

Rob Ford apology not enough for Toronto Star reporter in libel claim

"And, crucially, he didn't retract or specifically apologize for the categorically false, malicious, and in-itself-defamatory claim about me taking pictures of his young kids."

...

In the interview, Ford said: "Daniel Dale is in my backyard taking pictures. I have little kids. He's taking pictures of little kids. I don't want to say that word but you start thinking what this guy is all about."

What "word" Rob?

And the dope opera continues ...

Lots of "sorry" at Toronto City Council ...

http://www.torontosun.com/2013/12/17/showdown-expected-at-toronto-city-hall

Councillor Adam Vaughan also clarified Tuesday that he didnt call anyone in the council chamber a moron on Monday.

Vaughan explained that on Monday night, Ford claimed that Vaughan saving the city money was an oxymoron.

My response, which was probably not wise on my part, was doing oxy makes you a moron, Vaughan said.

So, Rob can use this experience as "research" for all of the people he's threatened to sue....

Unlimited economic growth has the marvelous quality of stilling discontent while preserving privilege, a fact that has not gone unnoticed among liberal economists.

Looks like Rob may not be the only embarrassment in the TO city hall these days. I liked the little dance number during a council meeting, especially when the speaker got into it 5 minutes after trying to rein in Ford during his "apology?" Also the deputy mayor went on record saying he thought the mayor was sincere. My God has the air pollution gotten that bad down there, or is all of city hall on crack these days? Oh well, the American late night comedy guys don't have to look far for material nowadays. I wonder if the city has garnered as much business from the buffoonery.

I have heard it said that Ford got his support because he could fix a pot hole.

Because he harasses city staff to queue-jump pot hole and other jobs for his voters. He spends his time as mayor 'buying' votes with such favours. He thinks that's his job.

Meanwhile the priority list of jobs - the people waiting their turn for their street - is irrelevant. What gets done is what the mayor wants done.

Remember this?

He may find himself on the crew fixing those potholes at ground level if you catch my drift.

Ford's lawyer writes a proper apology and retraction, Ford delivers, Dale accepts

I wholly retract my statements and apologize to Mr. Dale without reservation for what I said," Ford said in a statement. "There is absolutely no basis for the statement I made about Daniel Dale taking pictures of children or any insinuations I made," Ford added.

Ford went on to retract other statements, including that Dale had been found "lurking" or "leering" near his property.

Within minutes, Dale indicated via Twitter he was dropping his legal action against Ford.

It aint over until the fat boy stops singing. You know the expression and the fat boy aint finished singin or dancing.

This behaviour of making outrageous irresponsible comments then apologizing is past a joke. Please please pretty please.

But just as I think he can not prove further what a baboon he is the whole friggin pack of them start dancing around like a bunch of mental patients in some loony ward.

Let's join the conga line. Hee hee.

Toronto politics. What a phackin joke.

OK who's upset Ford said "Women like Money"?

Dude is honest to a fault sometimes eh? :D

So do men.

No he is still an idiot. The manner in which he said that is what is the problem.

He basically referred to her as a whore. Bet he is getting hungrier by the day since there hasnt been a damn thing to eat since mid November

I don't know where you get the whore sentiment. If he had said "Women loves diamonds" would that have been just fine?

I think he was just saying it's hard to buy for women so he should just get them money to get what they want.

People really get worked up over everything this guys says.

I think youre trying too hard to defend him.

Not really , but most of what he says is moronic

I've sort of given up defending him, he's pretty much a trainwreck. But people monitor everything that comes out of his mouth looking for something to be outraged about. I don't think this is one of those things to get worked up over.
