Obama Diagnosis Romney with 'Romnesia'

Recommended Posts

"If you come down with a case of Romnesia and you can't seem to remember the policies that are still on your website, or the promises you have made over the six years you've been running for president, here is the good news: Obamacare covers pre-existing conditions" -Obama

http://www.politico.com/politico44/2012/10/obama-diagnoses-gop-nominee-with-romnesia-138989.html

This thing is taken off on Twitter

If you think a 35% top tax rate is capitalism and a 39.6% top tax rate is socialism, you might have Romnesia.

If you think food stamps for the poor are handouts and tax cuts for the rich aren't, you might have Romnesia.

If you pretend to be a man of the peoples and own a freaking horse in the Olympic you might have Romnesia!

If you earn millions and pay 14% tax and think that's fair you have Romnesia.

This thing is trending!!!

LOL! This kinda stuff is hilarious. From Big Bird, to binders, now to "Romnesia." The internal campaign polls must be showing some big big problems, cause I've never seen a campaign so desperate and so unable to stay on message for more than an hour. #ADHD

Have you seen the latest polls? This thing might not work out as you had hoped, punked. Obama's a nice guy and your vote will certainly count, but things are really turning on him. Attacks from the left are getting quite shrill which shows that deep down inside, they know it's slipping from their grasp. It's no big deal anyway, life will go on eh?

I don't think that it's "shrill" to point out the degree to which Romney's current public statements disagree with his prior public statements or the statements of his campaign staff or the statements on his website.

You seem to be solidly behind Mitt... I have to ask: do you support what he currently says stands for, or what he said he supported during the Republican primaries?

I wouldn't expect an answer. I think he prefers to just be a cheerleader and make the occasional generalized comment about "the left."

People that support Romney, can't possibly support Romney, since his position is so inconsistent that conservative newspapers are endorsing Obama. Those that cheerlead for Romney are simply anti-Obama.

Or perhaps those that support Romney have researched how he actually governed Massachusetts, well realizing politicians will tell “fibs” to the extreme elements of their own party so they can win said parties nomination to run in the general election…………

Doesn’t/Didn’t Obama promise crap to the nutters within his own party?

Romney is on record as stating he will protect a woman's right to choose in terms of abortion. So I don't understand what all the anti Romney camps are talking about when speaking of Romney's stance on abortion. Very simple.

Because we have fools like you on our team who don't know their head from their ass and are a branding nightmare who scare away independent voters.

Not simple at all. During the primaries he said he would be happy to sign a law that bans abortion without exception. His running mate still openly states that his position is no exceptions.

Everyone is able to agree with Romney on abortion because he has a position for everyone.

That's absurd. So you're just going to assume he'll govern like he did in Mass. (when governing a state is nothing like being the head of the nation) and give him a pass on all of the bullshit that has come out of his mouth during his campaign? Why wouldn't he campaign on his record as governor then? Why does he lie over and over again and keep flip-flopping? What does it say about his character that he continually lies and changes positions?

That and Romney's word is absolutely meaningless. Conservative newspapers are endorsing Obama for no other reason than they don't know where Romney stands on anything because he has lied so many times.

Well, that was his position when he was Mass governor. But he's also on record saying no abortions except in cases of rape, incest, or if the mother's life is in danger (that's the current position, last time I heard). He's also on record as supporting a Personhood Amendment (this was Republican Primaries Mitt) which would eliminate those exceptions too.

So as always, the question is which Mitt will we see if he is elected?

When he was Mass governor, he had a liberal state House of Representatives to deal with, and a liberal electorate to appease.

If he become President, he'll have a Congress where the Tea Party Freakshow Circus holds large influence, and he'll have won office on a mandate that came from Texas and the ex-Confederacy.

There's no reason to think Kinder Gentler Mitt is what we'll see in the White House. There's no reason to think Social Conservative Primaries Mitt is the real thing either. There's also not really any reason to think Mass Mitt is the real guy. The one constant with Mitt appears to be that he'll be whatever he thinks will help him get elected and stay elected. If Mitt gets into office and finds a Congress full of Michelle Bachman types, and decides that he has to work with them and to appeal to the voters that elected them, I am extremely doubtful that Massachusetts Mitt is the one we'll see in the White House. I think he'll end up looking more like Primaries Mitt.

Ahhh…..You realize all politicians spew bullshit to try and get elected? You new to following politics?

Why wouldn't he campaign on his record as governor then?

He wouldn’t have been selected by the GOP.

Why does he lie over and over again and keep flip-flopping? What does it say about his character that he continually lies and changes positions?

Again, you new to politics?

Wasn’t the exact same charges laid against PM Harper if he got a Majority? Or Obama himself ?

You all seem to fail to grasp the concept that he’ll want to win again 2016.……….

As to the rant about Texas & the South……….I’ve no idea what you’re talking about……….I’ve lived there, despite what some might think, weekends aren’t spent burning crosses and lynching civil rights leaders………..And if anything, Calgary and Edmonton are more “redneck” then Houston and Dallas/Fort Worth…….

And the chances of this even passing a vote? If Bush, a neo-con, didn't touch abortion neither will Romney. It's all just fear mongering.

The more important question is what has Obama accomplished since being elected 4 years ago? Obama wants another 4 year mandate but he did nothing in the previous 4 years so I don't see what another 4 years will do.

What is Obamas plan? He hasn't publicly stated that he even has one or what that it is. Will he do more than make rousing speeches with catchy slogans?

He has done well militarily giving his signed permission fro drone strikes, signed covert ops in foreign countries, etc but other then that he has done nothing. Zero on healthcare, zero on education, zero on unemployment, zero and minus on foreign investment. He wants to raise taxes and redistribute the wealth but hasn't even done that.

That is a good point. Or on the inverse with same sex marriage, Obama had two years in which he could have “legalized” it.
