US Air Force disbands due to pressure by waldo.

"We've decided to play golf instead", claims Air Force spokesperson. "You're on your own."

:)

Very good insight....the USAF always builds the golf course first at new bases, then asks for more money to finish the runways! ;)

Actually, we've figured out long ago that Canada is going to buy these thing waldo or not. But, meh...it's fun to argue, n'est pas?

Sho 'nuff....I just want to see how high we can get the price to really piss them off!

Let's just call it an even $100 billion CDN.

waldo you and I are very rarely on the same side of an argument, but I'll give you some friendly advice for this thread regardless. They're not reading your references or cites, and they're certainly not interested in a reasonable argument. The F-35 is a debacle, it's clear to anyone who cares to look at how much the program is costing and how delayed it already is, and it's almost certain it will be delayed further. When most of the responses you're getting are stupid (not even funny) things like this:

you're better off not bothering to respond.

F35 supporters cum in their pants at the slightest mention of war toys, it's a big circle jerk with military toys as the erotic fantasy... practicality or logic of equipment choice never enters the picture, it's "I want and I must have the latest toy whether I/we need it or not"..

We've already mulled over the Sopwith Camel. So that's another vote for the Camel? It's a proven design...a tad old. But, that shouldn't matter.

One...two...three....WAR TOYS !!!

That's what the Liberals said when they told Santa about wanting in on the F-35 JSF program.

Well at least your one of the few to make your agenda clear. Speaking for myself, I actually just think that we need a military and equipment for them to use, your hatred for the military seems to have some sort of sexual aspect, strange, anyway perhaps you should question pilots of USAF aircraft that have been flown in combat for the last couple of decades to see if they thought their aircraft are impractical or illogical. The efficiency record they hold would seem to say otherwise, its alarming how often ideologues think they should decide for the military just what equipment they need when they themselves generally know nothing about the military and it's realities while wishing we had no military at all. It sort of makes your opinion completely irrelevant.

:rolleyes: 28 posts and already everything about me wow you have amazing clairvoyant abilities...I've never never had a derogatory opinion of the military...you might as well in join the circle jerk as critical thinking isn't part of your repertoire of skills either...

First: Wyly has no hatred for the military, or at least none that he's stated;

Second: the military itself is full of ideologues, at the upper echelons, who understand that matters such as business and PR is more important than practicality;

Third: This sort of makes your opinion completely irrelevant.

Fourth: ...just like everyone else, so a member in good standing.

Fifth: I agree, but was actually quoting his "irrelevant" denunciation directly.

I am quite certain that the "U.S. GAO" considers Canada's fighter plight quite irrelevant as well.

OK...Seventh: as it is mine. (Especially since it's the identical sentiment.)

I may have an opinion on individual military members but not the military itself I don't care, it's a career choice...nearly half my family has served in the military at one time or other and I've had great debates with them regarding Canada's military roles with no animosity...

Sure, I get that.

You know how to shrug off what amounts to the old "why don't you support the troops?" argument...which at bottom means: "why don't you support Government policy devised primarily by civilians?" :)

Indeed...I wonder if the "U.S. GAO" publishes in English and French, since it has such a large Canadian audience? ;)

Sorry for the crappy French.

yup, I don't get how people buy into that logic and back away from confronting it..."Either you're with us or you're a terrorist!"..."You're either with us or you're a pedophile!" :rolleyes: sheeple...

No problem! Slightly corrected hopefully...but I'm like 12 years out of French school so I'm sure it's still not perfect.
