Bill O'Reilly has reported on many instances where judges have given lenient sentences to pedophiles. Bill O'Reilly exposed these judges. If it weren't for Billy O reporting on these types of stories, they would never have been mentioned by ABC, CNN, NBC, or CBS. Fox News has its idiots, much the same as any other news organization. What i do like about FOX News is that they report news that the other outlets deem unworthy. However, the new is far from being unworthy. Why is it only Fox News gets demonized in Canada? Why doesn't MSNBC get the same treatment? This is the same O'Reilly that thuoght a woman being raped was her fault? The same O'Reilly that thought the Malmedy Massacre was the fault of the US troops? I agree Fox has it's idiots...(Beck,Hannity,O'Reilly)...So does MSNBC (Olbermann,Maddow)... That's the problem...Idiots being passed off as journalists... This makes me wonder what the next generation of baying lunatic will look like. O'Reilly is far more reasonable than Beck, I agree wholeheartedly. They're not even in the same league. In fact, when we criticize other, similalry incautious commentators, we shouldn't be too promiscuous with our judgements to appear (ironically) "fair." For example, I would contend that there are no popular left-wing commentators anywhere near as egregious and loony as Beck. Not even close. I have had several bad things to say about Olbermann, for example; but he's no Beck. I'd think comparing him to O'Reilly would be much closer to the mark. Fair is fair. We shouldn't get carried away in our comparisons to avoid some perception of overideological partisanship. I have heard liberals and leftists say things like, "...loonies like Ann coulter on the Right and Noam Chomsky on the Left..." Well, like Chomsky or hate him, the comparison is utterly absurd, and completely unfair. To Chomsky. As for the next generation....good question. Is there a true limit to this madness, or does it go all the way down the rabbit hole? CNN could put him on and beat Fox in any timeslot with the pure controversy but the lawsuits would be expensive. And these folks, despite their millions of viewers, are having trouble getting advertisers who want the 'frothing, and gullible' demographic. Rush L. gets adjustable beds, and Beck promotes suspicious gold trading sites. Jones would have to sell overpriced sandbags and water purification tablets, I guess.
