whatever. just clean up after your dog's poop in my front yard.

Not my dog! The only reason I do pick up after mutts is selfish - one winter I did not bother - untill I started to step in it myself - and then - did I realize that I had no right to dirty your lawn or your shoes - It's a thing called courtlyness - also called civilzation.

.... who are so stupid they believe that the god believers actually believe in god...

nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

first they knocked down the WMD rationale... then they dispatched the 9/11 associations... when they took away the Al Qaeda linkage, we could always reflect on Bush's strong religious convictions (in smiting down Gog and Magog). But sir! If you're going to suggest that Bush doesn't/didn't actually believe...... what's left, damnit! What's left!!!

What's shocking is that these two brave souls are speaking out.

Kudos to them!

I agree 100%. We need more people exposing this crap.

And really, i agree with BC. This news isn't very shocking. Important, yes. But shocking or surprising given what we've heard about Blackwater in the news for years? No.

Ex-employees claim Blackwater pimped out young Iraqi girls

on Thursday from the employees’ sworn declarations — is that Blackwater was guilty of using child prostitutes at its compound in Baghdad’s fortified Green Zone and that owner Erik Prince knew of this activity and did nothing to stop it.

The declarations describe Blackwater as “having young girls provide oral sex to Enterprise members in the ‘Blackwater Man Camp’ in exchange for one American dollar.” They add even though Prince frequently visited this camp, he “failed to stop the ongoing use of prostitutes, including child prostitutes, by his men.”

if this is true, it's still not shocking to bc2004.

Blackwater is no longer. It is now called XE (pronounced ZEE)

Companies only change names when it suits them. And they don't want to be called bad ol Blackwater no more.

http://communities.canada.com/theprovince/...enary-army.aspx

In 2004, a group of Americans drove into the Iraqi village of Fallujah and a deadly ambush by insurgents. The men were killed and two of their burned corpses hung from a bridge. (Extremely graphic images and video of the attack can be viewed here.) Video of the scene made its way around the world, and many commentators compared it to the footage of dead American soldiers dragged through the streets of Mogadishu in the Black Hawk Down battle.

But there was one key difference: the men killed in Fallujah were not soldiers. They were mercenaries, private contractors employed by the private-security firm Blackwater.

They also seem to be operating in Pakistan right now. Plenty of hits from the google with that in a headline.

Correct.....and other places too. What a lot of people don't realize is that "XE" is a convenient way to achieve objectives without the usual legal constraints or oversight on military or other government assets. They can do things with more flexibility and plausible deniability. There is also a growing private market for such "services".

Because working within the laws never worked in the past. The only way to get some things done are by this. Which is a problem. If you don't want to work in the confines of the rules of war (ahahahah) then why even try to put on the charade? This is why Iraq can never be won? You have the US military working within the confines of the so called rules of war, and you have a seperate private military that works along side of the US military, but is not accountable for any of their actions. If you can't do it the right way, then why the hell is it being done in the first place?

I know you don't see the hypocracy in trying to win a War on Terror, when you have factions like Blackwater who are not accountable for shit. This is simply a wrong way to go about things. It is hypocritical, and you can't stand on this as a legit practice.

The Iraq "war" was won long ago....it is the peace that is proving to be more difficult, just as in wars past.

Let's be clear here.....private security contractors would still be enlisted for their services with or without military liaison. They are accountable according to existing civil and criminal law, depending on the venue.

I don't have to, as your moral temper tantrums are cute but quite irrelevant. If it is a "wrong way", do you have a better idea, and are you willing to take a bullet to prove it?

The real bombshell is that General Electric, parent company of NBC and MSNBC was selling components to Iran that make IED's. These IED's have claimed the lives of thousands of American troops.

That's cute..."bombshell"....but not very surprising either. GE makes and sells a lot of things around the world.

Yes I recall Mission Accomplished .... but the troops are still there.

This happened around October of 2007. The accountability only started a couple years ago.

http://southernstudies.org/2007/10/house-p...contractor.html

The U.S. House of Representatives today overwhelmingly approved legislation that would end the ability of U.S. military security contractors to operate with impunity in war zones. Rep. David Price (D-N.C.) introduced the measure in June, but it gained traction after an incident last month in which guards with North Carolina-based contractor Blackwater USA killed more than a dozen Iraqi civilians.

It is more relevant than you think. And this is where you have failed every time. You have clearly shown you have no morals at all. Which is why you don't ever have a problem with this war on terror and how it is being carried out, all the while making you and your fellow americans look like total idiots to the rest of the world. Another thing you can't give two shits about. It might be you that is now irrelevant, but hey you know .. blame Canada. That tactic also works when you don't want to be accountable for your actions or words. Or want to distract from the main point or topic.

In the end you won't care about this post, and will respond in the style only you can pull off. Which further proves my point.

They also sold stuff to Nazi Germany. :)

Troops have been in Japan, Korea, and Germany for over 50 years...so what?

We agree on the former, as I have long maintained an amoral stance while laughing at your astonishing level of naivete. As for me and my fellow Americans, there are 305,000,000 individual positions that you are too lazy to distinguish between, while projecting your own value system on an entire nation that has managed to do quite well, good or bad.

So when are you "accountable" for Canada's actions while insisting that I be "accountable" for America's? Do you think this is a hidden free fire zone where you can just take pot shots at the USA while ignoring your own dirty laundry and ultimate complicity with American policies? That I point such things out makes you uncomfortable, so burdened are you with moral baggage.

In the end you won't care about this post, and will respond in the style only you can pull off. Which further proves my point.

Why would I "care" about this or any other post? What was your point again?

It is not naivete that brings me to this. It is called being tired of double standards. I don't like them, I don't use them.

I don't know this is in the USA thread section, sorry if you can't understand the topic of the thread or the context of it. But hey you can create your own thread on Canadian Mercenaries if you so choose. We can talk about it there. And I promise I won't 'USA' up the thread at all.

You keep responding, simply because you are a shit disturber and a troller :), we can talk about rules of the website that you can't seem to follow either.

More naivete.....when it comes to such things, there are no standards....double or otherwise. Sorry if the real world is not the fairytale you need and expect.

Bullpuckey.....you can't wipe your ass without thinking about the US frickin' A.

Doesn't matter which thread it is.....so turnabout is fair play....right? You like fair...don'tcha?

Why should it be when the same thing can be found in Toronto, Vancouver, or Los Angeles ?

These aren't hookers on the street corner. This is being done by people hired by the U.S. gov't and representing the country over there. It's quite disgusting. More shocking than the allegations originally mentioned in this thread.

Blackwater will always be known as Blackwater no matter what they changed their name to. They should be listed as a terrorist group but if they are still working for the US government, they won't be but then again, what does that say about the US??

What does what say?

RIGHT of SOME, LEFT of OTHERS

If it is a choice between them and us, I choose us

Revisionist pop poetry? BC - don't tease the children..Black Water is a zionist plot --- and zionists don't like Jews - they like using them though...Blackwater is just a little subsiduary of the all mighty military industrial complex - They are just the legal hit men for the legal mafia...what's one to do? Complain that the world is corrupt? Those that believe in the syetem - respect and trust it are corrupt for kissing ass - killing for profit and fun is evil...It is good that a man stands up like a man and admits - that there is not one single human institution on earth that is not evil and corrupt....Those that are delluded enough to think that there are good guys and bad guys do a disservice to humanity THERE ARE NO GOOD GUYS...BC understands that.
