  1. Um...depleted uranium is not a hazard because of its radiation (duh: it's depleted). It's main effects are chemical in nature. IOW: it's toxic, not radioactive, so to cal it a nuclear weapon is just wrong. Depleted does not mean -not radioactive- it may mean it is not as deadly as a nuclear blast. But it is still radioactive. Mind if I give you a spent depleted uranium round to wear around your neck? Alot of this stuff is just laying around in Iraq. A whole wack load of small radioactive spots. Get enough of these in one area (straffing runs ect) and the amount of radiation goes up. They are still radioactive and still deadly. Not INSTANT death, but can cause serious medical problems for humans and any biological life around. Not to mention contaminating the surrounding area and possibly the water.
  2. Do I need to post that thing a 3rd time for THIS thread now??? I doubt the weapons are comming from Iran. For one they would not be stenciled with '81mm Mortar' in plain old everyday English. You know something ALL terrorist muslims should speak. Or maybe they should be in arabic writting so the people using these things against the US troops can read them and not use them the wrong way. Wait wait wait. It was BUSH who failed to head the warnings of the Clinton Administration in regards to Al-Qaueda. Even from the warnings across the world. Germany, France, Great Britian ect. But maybe they just cannot read intel reports. Since they got the whole WMD wrong. Jerry I will consider you trolling here Jerry. You know damn well and the evidence is there that Saddam was an 'ally' of the USA back in the 80s. Considering the Commander In Cheif did not know there were several sects of the Muslim religion. And it is news. For what it seems is the Sunni's and Shiites in Iraq are fighting each other. If Iran and Al-Queda, one is Sunni, the other is Shiite. Chances are Iran and Al-Queda are not doing much together. NON STARTER avec le link to Al-Queada. Maybe you should educate yourself then as well.. Then your knowledge of facts won't embarrass you at all. Leafless I had a response, but then I read BlubberMiley's post. His will do Sharkman Even if you did know something about this (bookmarking this for later use), I seriously doubt you would have anything worthy to contribute to this thread. Just going on observation of your posts in other threads that you may not really pay attention to.
  3. Where to start with this post...... M Dancer By that, they really don't give two shits about what you think. That is obvious. Or else they would have laid down the weapons and succumbed to the all might powerfull USA. We got time. Go ahead. I will wait a couple days and let you prepare your statements. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_Non-P...feration_Treaty So by nuking Iran, the US would violate the NPT and NWS agreements. Also being a NPT state, the US has already violated it's agreements by supplying nuclear technology to Isreal and India. NON PROLIFERATION means, you don't give this stuff to anyone else. ANYONE ELSE. On this note, the US wants to attack Iran before the nuclear programme is in full swing. Seeing how the US deals with North Korea (OMFG AXIS OF EVIL!!!) They have been in 'talks' for the last few years now. No headway at all there. So why TALK to NORTH KOREA, but supply the hypocritical rhetoric of BOMB IRAN NOW !!!!!!. Continuing from Wiki So Iran can have a peaceful nuclear programme like they state. And really this did not prevent North Korea from possessing nukes. India and Pakistan did not seem to get the same rhetoric with OMG THEY ARE BUILDING NUKES !!!! Has either one used them? No, they have them to prevent the other from attacking. So really all this NPT talk is just, useless. So again, take your time Mr. Dancer. I await your responses. Aren't bunker busters just some small form of nuclear weapon? Wait for it ..... http://www.ucsusa.org/global_security/nucl...-animation.html http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems/200502/s1298463.htm Eventhough the project had been axed, they were developing Nuclear bunker Busters. How many of these things have been used around the world? Not to mention Isreal got a huge load of Bunker Busters http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?con...&articleId=3748 Hey, aren't A-10 Warthogs using DEPLETED URANIAM in their ammo? Hmmm. Absolutely hypocritical of anyone saying Iran does not deserve to develople a nuclear programme (civilian or military) and then tout the USA for being the good guy. http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2004-09...ael-nukes_x.htm continuing from the article This is why I don't see an issue with Iran and nuclear weapons. Considering how much depleted uranium is being scattered around by A-10a and Bunker Busters. Depleted Uraniam is still dangerous and very radio active. So how about them morals??
  4. Just like the CBC? Indeed good sir. Indeed.
  5. Thank you for posting this here. Let me show you the proof. I posted this in the Iran's People thread, but it won't get much. As it is here - http://www.mapleleafweb.com/forums//index....ndpost&p=184919 http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...7021100479.html As I pointed out, this evidence is so solid, no one can even see it without having their eyeballs melt at first glance. SLAM DUNK!!! The mortar rounds are stencil painted with plain ENGLISH on them. Chances are most Iranian Military personal can't read or speak english. So why would their ammuniton be in ENGLISH? Try to tell me how this makes sense. Really TRY. NIGERIAN YELLOW CAKE'D !!!!
  6. There was a better solution 4 years ago. That was NOT TO GO IN. So really anything that is proposed now is just damage control, or utter complete bullshit. Since the Right got us into this mess, the Right should get us OUT of this mess. But you don't see that at all. Oh it's all about the war on terrorism. One thing I will blame the left for was the recent troop deployment to Iraq. The Left for all I know will be able to stop the escalation (or augmentation, right Condi?) of US troops in Iraq. It could have helped out some. But then again, a full force at the beginning and not reducing the troop levels constantly after 'MISSION ACCOMPLISHED' to keep peace and stability was a huge mistake on the Right's part. So really both can be blamed. But you will NEVER hear that from the "Right". Lies to get into a war, lies to keep us there, lies about the upcomming war with Iran. If the Right offers anything NEW, I will be inclinced to listen. But when the RIGHT rehashes all the crap over and over again, (and quite a bit of what is rehashed is false) it is hard to take the RIGHT seriously. Open your eyes man. Please. Iran may be a threat to Israel, but not to the United States. But to most Americans, Isreal IS part of the United States. *bangs head against desk* Yeah yeah, I know I am an anti-semite for saying anything like this. MY APOLOGIES SO SORRY!!.
  7. Let me get 'right'eous in here for a moment along with Sharkman, Canadian Blue, Army Guy, southercomfort. I GOT MY FINGERS IN MY EARS AND I AM NOT LISTENING LALALALALALALALALALALALALALA STOP BEING AN IDIOT. YOU ARE HELPING THE TERRORISTS BY SAYING THAT YOU ARE NOT A PATRIOT STOP ASKING STUPID QUESTIONS COMPLY OR DIE So really, I could have not posted at all. Since this really does not carry further any kind of rational debate. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. I will point this out every time you responde like this. If you cannot debate, then get out and stay out. If you cannot put your words together to make your points sound intelligent at all then please DON'T POST. This is a tactic of the right. Clutter up a good debate with nonesense till they 'Cartman' it up and screw you ALL by going home. This is part of the left's frustration. But at least we still point to the proof we had before, and is still true and accurate. Now how about that Iraq war?!? -lies about going to war -when at war, lies to cover up the failed lies to get into the war. -lies about lies to KEEP us in Iraq -'last throes', 'mission accomplished' ect ect. Now replace that Q with an N, and we can redebate all this shit in 5 years after Iran has been attacked by the US.
  8. scriblett Clinton had nothing really to do with the bombing of the Osarick reactors in Iraq. It was Israel. And that was during Reagan's administration. The words of the President of Iran have been twisted and tweaked for ADD public. People who really know, know that he never said he wanted Israel wipped off the face of the earth. (Even if he did, he is talking about Israel, and not being an anti-semite jew hatting arab. .. but oh you will try to show me he is.) http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/s...000/3014623.stm So far it looks like it has been the ONLY attack on a nuclear facility anywhere. Clinton HAD planned an attack on Iraq's almost rebuilt nuclear programme buuut.... http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/stories/199...ts/clinton.html Mr. Bill Clinton himself said that. Luckily I know how to search for things on the Internet, or I might have taken your word at face value. Good try though.
  9. Saying 'it is not a new thing' makes it ok then? Not sure where you are comming from here. If they have been doing this for years, then again, it needs to stop and be changed. Geoffrey Never too late. If you pull out or stay in there, things are going to get worse. They lied to get the United States into a war, they lied about the reasons for staying, and now they are lying about the future war with Iran. All lies, but no problem, it'd been going on for years. How much do you take before you say STOP?? What is your tolerance level of imcompetence for the current administration?
  10. Just want to point this out here, as it probably needs to be posted in a couple other Iraq/Iran threads. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...7021100479.html Yeah such solid evidence that you cannot even proove the existence of the evidence. Also take a look at the picture that Washington Post has on the site. If the bombs were made in IRAN would they really say in plain every day english. "81mm MORTAR ROUND". If it was Iranian, it would have been written in Arabic or something else. Something just is not right here. This is the equivilant of 'Nigerian yellow cake'. I can say that this is neither Iranian or Iraqi. I can say that these mortars pictured here are not made my any Arabic/muslim state that is being targeted by the United States.
  11. And it never fails to amuse me how the left is categorized and generalized as though they had no differences of opinion. Hmmmmm is that how the far right works? As far as Putin is concerned, it is time that someone put a stop (or try at least) to Bush. The rhetoric is ramping up and there doesn't seem to be any opposition coming from anywhere in the west. Steve will go along with whatever Bush decides so that counts us out to stand up for peace and freedom in the world. The right always slams the left. And always in the same way. The real lefties let the right rant, then stare blankley at the screen, for you know what he is thinking. I will point this out again: The Left - Asks questions when something does not seem right. The Right - Slams the left for being unpatriotic/racist/ignorant/anti-semite for asking those questions. So, consider me on the left then. Best thing to do is ignore the right altogether. The less attention they get, the faster they go away (but the right is stubborn and well, does not quite go away. Anyways my two bits on this amount to a few pennies. Putin has a right to slam Bush and the USA. Suck it up buttercups. Not everyone wants 'freedom'.
  12. I donno GH, they seem like pretty simple questions to me...what would be a simple question to you, "What do you think of the weather outside"? If he doesn't want to speak up Hannity, why does he keep going on his show...this is the second time he was on his show. "Do you think Hezbollah is a terrorist organization?" - How simple can you get. And when one asks a question such as this, there is no need to go ballistic as the Imam did. Actions speak louder than words, or lack of words. Let me get Cheney and Bush in on this. It is all in the language. What do you mean by 'terrorist organization' ?? What are your qualifications for it. I know the question is simple, but the implications of answering a 'simple' loaded question are somethings to consider. Funny you never hear these questions posed to US government officials. Of hell, even ask Hannity himself the question. Chances are he will not give you a straight answer either. And besides, Foxnews is just the right wing mouth piece. I cannot take anyone (well aside from Brit Hume) very seriously at all. It is a shame to actually call them 'news'.
  13. Kimmy Again, I said that this is plausible. I have to say you are correct, for I cannot find the evidence to back up my claim about the time period. I have stated that. HOWEVER... You don't think that not being able to account for ONE QUARTER of ANY BUDGET is a cause for alarm and investigation? Money should be tracked. If the job is not done right, fire the people, or change the way things are done. Taxpayers demand to know what their taxes are being spent on. And if some of the money is unaccounted for or missing altogether, and nothing to show for the unaccounted money, then it is a crying shame that these people are still allowed to manage the budget they get every year. So it is imcompetence or it is criminal. Accidental or purposeful, things need to change. If it has been accidental for 9 years, then something seriously needs to be done. If it has been going on for 9+ years, then the accounting practices of the Pentagon have been in a fucking shambles for 9+ years. That is not cause for alarm? Now I am not saying this is connected to 9/11... not sure I ever did, but it seems strange that I think it is cause for alarm, even CBS who reported the missing money seemed to have been alarmed 'Why would you care about the missing money?' OK, why the hell SHOULD I care about missing or unaccounted for money. When you trust others with your tax money, you should be demanding reciepts at all stops. Or I may not want to pay taxes if my tax money is not being taken seriously. If they cannot manage and account for money, how the hell do they account for equipment in the military. Alex Jones is like any other reporter out there. Sometimes he is right, sometimes he is wrong. But what I love about Jones is that he is unfiltered. Says what he wants, when he wants. You do not see that on MSM.
  14. Good for Fox News... goddam hacks. All of them. Hannity is not being fair, they are all like that. And railroading the Imam into stupid question. I'd be instulted as well if those questions are asked of me. It is obvious what Hannity is doing. Do you think Imadenejidad is a holocaust denier anti-semite?? What kind of stupid questions are these?? I would have not been pissed, but I would have hung up on these jerks. Simple questions? He is not asking simple questions. Overreacting? Yeah nice one Faux news.
  15. Argus Well actually I am a Canadian. Hippy-ish, yes, but not redneck by any nature or intent. However, the situation there is that shots are fired more often than reported in the MSM. From both sides. So when you live in an area of the planet that has seen nothing but war, strife and intense human suffering for decades, then you might understand why it's 'shoot first, ask questions later'.
  16. I will add this now and request this thread be taken off this site. Nothing political going on here. Let's leave this to other websites for trash garbage celebrity gossip.
  17. Catchme , stick to the topic, let's get more links up in this here thread about the money. http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/iraq/20..._x.htm?csp=N009 dated 10/10/2004 So money is missing and Iraqis are suffering the pain of empty promises.
  18. I carry no flag for Saudi Arabia. We should seize their oil provinces, either turn the rest of the place into a parking lot or let them eat camel meat and when they're finished, sand. The princes there support some of the sickest brutality known to man. So why was Saddam any worse?? Real terrorist states are NOT being dealt with. Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are from what I see and read, terrorist states.
  19. On the bulldozer part. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armored_bulldozer#Israeli_usage The purpose of the dozers and the armour that is on them indicated they are combat vehicles and go into hostile situations. Dozers are good for destruction of buildings and such. I'd have fired at it too. It is still a violation of the border any way you look at it. too bad they did not capture any Palestinian militans. (I know it was the Lebanese border, just checking to see if you are still awake.)
  20. http://edition.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/meast/01/30/iraq.audit/ Jan 31, 2005 OH NO more money missing.... So this crap better not come as a surprise to anyone, this came out last year. So this money did not even come from the American Taxpayers. It came from the Oil for Food programme. http://www.washtimes.com/op-ed/20040321-101405-2593r.htm You can read the article to show who made some money off it. The Iraqi citizen lost out twice in this scandal. Lost oil, and stolen money that was to pay for the basics of living. Such a shame. Not just the US was in on the Oil for Food programme. Just wanted to add this,,,, hilarious http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,132832,00.html Sept 20,2004 and.... Bash the UN then ask for their help,,,, nice. I think we need some honest people in the United States as well. And yet people still support this war.
  21. Well, Melanie is still alive and well. How the hell did Anna 'beat' Melanie? And what HAS she passed on to the future? Will her daughter get fake boobs, marry an old oil tycoon and show here boobs for Playboy? Yes something to live up to indeed.... wait she showed her boobs, yeah deadAnna is one up on Melanie.
  22. Hey what is going on here ??? http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/02/09/ira...l.ap/index.html The Story highlights. 4 Years too late... shameful.
  23. Pakistan has been doing shady things for along time. Trying to be buddy with the US then stabbing them in the back by supporting terrorism. Seems like the Saudi Arabia and Pakistan both contribute to terrorism more than Iran, Iraq had. Yet they are never really targeted by the United States.
  24. Oh - so you mean it took WORK and INTERNATINOAL LONG TERM COMMITTMENT??? OH MY FREAKIN' GOD - CALL IN THE HOLLYWOOD STARS!!! THIS THING MIGHT ACTUALLY TAKE EFFORT!!! Japan was easy to subdue after two atomic bombs. Japan surrendered officially, and agreed to whatever terms in order to keep on existing in one form or another. Simply put, Japan LOST. It ended. There was no reason to need more than 350,000 troops. in contrast... Iraq never officially surrendered. No one agreed to any terms or conditions for a surrender to start the rebuilding. Another US backed Middle East puppet government was put in place. The US only went into Iraq with about 350,000. Far less than what was needed to 'mission accomplish'd', let alone actually keeping and maintaining security in the country. And now you get less and less International Support for this debacle that is the War on Terror.
  25. Iran attacked sovereign US soil in it's attack on the US embassy in 1979 and took hostages. Ahmedinejad was one of the people ivolved. Do you need a history lesson or something?? It was called a revolution in Iran. http://www.jimmycarterlibrary.org/documents/hostages.phtml Iran wanted to nationalize their oil. The Shah was a USA supporter and helped prevent that. Pissed the general public off, because many Iranians would have benefited from the money in terms of a better way of life for all across the board. http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/s...000/3910627.stm Furthurmore. IN other words. Iranians on a massive and supportive scale told the US to GTFO. You can probably say they were religious fanatics, yeah every country seems to have them in all forms. Religion, I think played a small part in the overall saying to the US to get out of Iran. And remeber it is an Embassy in Iran. If Iran wants to revoke your right to have an embassy in Iran, then not much you can do. Do Embassies in foreign countrys fall into the classification of 'American Interests' ? Set up shop and then claim to protect it and claim you are right when no one really wants you around anyways? OK sure, I guess the new boss is as the same as the old boss.
