  1. However, it may look like Canada learned the lesson and did not go back for seconds. BELLY UP BABY !!
  2. Save em all up, return the whole batch to the sender. With your sentiments written on them!
  3. Not sure where to throw this, so here it goes in US. I find this funny in an odd way. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/08/06/...e=mostpop_story http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23578542/ I'd say the US should keep paying for it. Freedom costs a buck-O-five. http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/04/09/iraq.oil/index.html It's for freedom, stupid!!!! Thoughts?
  4. Looks like the guy gets 5.5 years. http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/08/07/hamdan.trial/index.html http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26055301/ He could be out in 6 months. Good to see thoe handpicked jurors from the Pentagon did their job ... I think.
  5. Yep, back up laptop. All my files backed up to the server and on my share drive. I gots two back ups. Most of the programs I use exlusively to this role are just client programs, you need to log into the program to access the information. So since my main one was stolen, I had called it in, refuse it to connect to the network, and I had to change all my passwords. I can do most of my work through other workstations here, but some programs were soley on that laptop. So somethings I could not do, that is if I did not have my back up. Someone just jacked it for some quick cash, they would format the thing then reinstall. It was not even a good laptop. It was 4 years old and I was waiting untill it died to get a new one. So back up laptop, backed up files to the main server and to my share server.
  6. Not a fan of roller coasters are you?
  7. Actually it makes a lot of sense. For instance, my work laptop was stolen from me at the warehouse a couple weeks ago. If I had all my information on there instead of the server, I would have been screwed. Not to mention fired. The information I had accumulated over the past year would have been gone if I did not store it server side. There are also solid enterprise reasons for being tied to a single laptop. The programs I run are specific to my role and no one elses in the warehouse uses them.
  8. Most companies store vital information on a server. Like we do here at Loblaws. I have a laptop with the programs I need, but all the information is on the server when I connect to it. This is how businesses get around that thing. The things I need are there wherever I connect. I am sure the company would be pissed if my laptop was held at the border. Personal laptops are quite different. It is yours, and the information is yours. If you always keep all your information on the laptop, then you could be asking for trouble. back your stuff up and often.
  9. She said .. 'get in'. If I had the cash.... in an instant. I have flown cessna's and also jumped out of one. Skydiving was pretty expensive untill you do the first jump, then you would have gladly paid double the money for that experience. It would be worth it to sit in a Mig29, or SU27 during some stunts.
  10. He would have gotten life anyways.
  11. Fighter jets, Russia's Fulcrum (Mig 29), Sweden's Grippen (JAS 39) and Viggen (JAS 37) Cargo/Commercial - Antanov 225. I have yet to see this plane in person. Such a mammoth. Old school?? DeHavilland Dragon. At an air show here in Ottawa I had the chance to touch the Mig 29's nosecone ... I felt Mother Russia speaking to me !!! The pilot who threw this thing around in the air showed what that sucker can do. Holy damn impressive.
  12. He was cleared of the more major charge, and was convicted on a much much lesser charge. The war is being won!!!
  13. Not only are there bullies on both sides, but there are idiots as well.
  14. I caught it on CNN about an hour ago. They were talking about McCain on Blitzer's segment. They showed the McCain ad, which I have seen online elsewhere, and then Hilton's response. I had a pretty good laugh. The McCain ad is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2ayxzwU6co Hilton's is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4BXHRJiuI8 this is the extended version I did not see on CNN .. hilarious.
  15. Paris Hilton's response video is even better. 'I am not a celebrity, I am not a politician.... I am just hot.' Flawless.
  16. Wow Rue. I said Israel was undemocratic. I did not say the Jews were undemocratic. Actually it is an Athiest/Agnostic tone. I am not Christian, Catholic, Jewish, Muslim ect ect. The creation of Israel was out of preserving the Jewsih traditions/faiths nothing more. Jews can survive without a country dedicated to their ways of life. There is only one other 'country' on the planet that is based on religion. That is the Vaticant. Here is another thing. I am very tired of hearing how the Jews are always being vitimized. I have been hearing it for years and years. Ever since I started listening to the news when I was a kid. They are always the victim. ALWAYS. The end of the war the Winners (the west and Europe) divided up the Middle East. Then the UN mandate said that the Caliphate must be trashed. With that, it was decided that Israel was to be created in the middle of the former Caliphate. This just sets you up for decades of conflict. Anyone could see this comming. We could have created Israel anywhere. I am sure we could have set up something in Europe, or even maybe Asia. But that spot where Israel is has signifigance for the Jews. Ancient times .... So, if they just wanted some land to be who they are, they could have done that anywhere on the planet. So you are a self hating Jew?
  17. Most of the movies out there regarding 9/11 are garbage. I know Loose Change is thrown around quite a bit, and this is the one most people have been exposed to. Loose Change is the worst 9/11 documentary/conspriacy film out there. I have watched about 10 to 15 different ones out there so far. You'd be surprised on how few people it would take to carry this out. Departmentalization takes care of that. I'd say clinging to the notion it was not a conspiracy might put you in the same category. ADSCAM was a conspiracy. It took only a few people behind closed doors to accomplish all this. They conspired to steal/launder money. I don't know enough about JFK to make a decision. I really don't care to talk about illuminati or skull and bones ect ... whenever those are brought up, ... tinfoil... I prefer to stay away from talking about them. I don't believe they actually exist. To tell you the truth, the reason I started doubting 9/11 because of Loose Change. Once looking into it further, there is better information out there. Once I started that, I realized that Loose Change was grasping at many straws, but yet this is the movie that garnered so much attention to the 9/11 truth movements. Because Loose Change is so horribly done, it makes most think we are the tinfoil hat crowd. It simply is a horrible documentary. Let me find a few of the others I think are better and list them. Some of them are long, but worth it.
  18. I don't distrust everything the government does, but to go to the other end and take every word the government says at face value and you are in trouble as well. Scrutinize the government. It works for you, remember? There are criminals in the government, plain and simple. Some of these criminals will work together for a goal. That is the crux of a conspiracy. Some of those plausible solutions are not only plausible, but happening right now. Many took the WMDs that the US was talking about at face value, only to discover later that most of the intelligence was handpicked and packaged in a certain way. This is a conspiracy against the Amercian population. Hell, when the CIA was doing tests on the American citizens in the 60's 50's and people talked about it, they were considered tin foil hat wearin guys. Most knew the CIA was plausibly doing these actions, and now we know for a fact that the CIA took part in some very strange experiments. Not only on American citizens, but their own military. MKULTRA for example, was used unkowingly on the troops in Vietnam. The CIA is probably still doing experiments, but this information will not be declassified for another 20 to 30 years after the current crisis has passed. Now if the CIA took part in these experiments, you MUST have higher ups signing off on this stuff. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_MKULTRA So you can also have a conspiracy to cover another conspiracy. Lies to cover lies. IF you doubt it is happening, then you are a fool. If you think everything is a conspiracy, then you are also a fool. Recently, I saw a report on CNN about soldiers who were given a flu vaccine but was never reported on their record. One man is now seriously ill because of the vaccine which did not show up on his record untill after the illness was discovered.
  19. I have a friend who plays guitar (very well I might say) his band was going to the US to play some gigs. He was barred from entering the US for 5 years after the fact. All because he said he was going down to work. Which is true, their band was invited to play in a multple band bill. If he said he was going to jam with friends, he would have been let through. Is this reasonable?? Also, if you are a Canadian with a DUI, you cannot get into the US. This is 100% correct.
  20. Originaly there was thoughts that Al-Queda had something to do with the anthraxed mail. The center at FT Detrick was also on the list. I really find it odd that they can have both Al-Queda (reasonable intellegence showed that it was) and US army scientists as suspects in this case. The Al-Queda move to me is a distraction, because in the end , there is more proof to say that it was a US Army scientist. Well, if they can't find Bin Laden, then chances are they won't ever find out the real source of the anthrax. Yes indeed. I'll make the argument of the US's track record when it comes to giving out information. Since the run up to the Iraq invasion, there has been much propaganda(if you will) that went sour after the facts have been revealed. WMDs, no WMDs. The goal was to oust Saddam and get at the oil in Iraq. Nothing more. But all we heard is 'freedom'. The lies were clear, but worded in a way that the average person can't really tell what is going on. Also say a few words to make it sound like Iraq had something to do with 9/11, and you have surefire support for whatever you want to do. With a population that is already hurt/sad/angry, you can take advantage of those ignorant people and say that A is B. Smart people will figure it out and say .. wait .. but all your evidence shows A is actually A. Then you get called a tin foil hat guy. People do not want to beleive that governments of their respected countries do not engage in illegal activity. They hope their country adhears to 'International Law'. But in many cases, those laws are broken, time and time again. So it makes sense to me that governments no only play against other countries, but it's own citizens.
  21. Obsidian ... you need some advice. Same advice I gave another older member who posted in the same manner as you. You are never going to get your views across if you keep up this style of posting. BC is a little more tougher as a poster than many of us here. I don't like many of his views and ideals, but the sucker is consistant and always plays like he does. Obsidian, you need a different approach. I was like you in the beginning, and now I have had to adjust my posting style because of some posters in here. I have to take some time to respond to many posts. OH and the other poster left a long time ago... I am still here ----- IN any case I agree with you Obsidian. We should take this thread in the direction of talking about false flag operations and what they were intended for and the results. Carried out? Against who? For what purpose? These are the important questions to pursue.
  22. White Doors Democracy means different things to different people. So I can ask about 100 people and many will have different answers to what democracy is. I doubt this will clarify anything. Not all of them. After looking into it, the majority of countries are there. They can sit at the table as long as they have all their ducks in a row. One election is not proof of democracy. Nor is it an endorsement of the platform or ideology. Bush was elected because he was thouhg to be a good guy. IN no way shape or form did people vote for Bush because of a war on terror, (that did not happen untill part way through his term. But then voting for him in 2004 could have been an indication that people wanted war (only after the fact that the US has been in Iraq for over a year at that point.) (well 1/2 of the people did). If the governments wanted to know what we thought and wanted to be democratic, we would have seen invdividual referendums on those topics. But since you don't, and those matters are left to unknown people in the military and top government officials and they decide for us. I understand we have democraticly elected leaders, but once elected, some of them partake in illegal activity that have sweeping effects. Or many of them just do what they want. Hell, I have seen the House of Commons (Here in canada) quite empty on days when debates on important topics were being discussed. They take more holidays that I do for crying out loud. The US's policy on Iraq was made by politicians/lobbyists, not by the average citizen. Your last point on your post is ... I won't take this as an admission that you are agreeing with me. I do not think you wanted this bit there, if so, it blows your whole stance. It is odd to be in a democratic forum like the UN when communist countries like China, and dictatorships like many African countries are represented there. China is not democratic. If it is, then democracy needs to be redefined.
  23. White Doors After some thought, I'd say this is correct. Democracies listen to their people. Since governments do what they want when they want, I cannot clearly say that Canada /US or the UK is democratic. IF they were, you would have seen a national vote/referendum on policies like the War on Terror. You'd have politicians asking for our input. But you don't hear of it. Democracy is not what we think it is or means. It is not democratic for a country's government to dupe the population into supporting an idea for reasons other than what is stated. Again, because we are talking about Israel in a thread about Israel. Or are you missing something? I could talk about .... The Phillipenes, but it would not be relevant to this thread. I did not single Israel out, the author of this thread did. I am trying to stay on topic and in context. Yeah the US has used their veto power on almost everything regarding Israel. The UN is used to the advantage of a country or a bunch of countries. Once you consider that not all countries can sit at the UN table, it shows that even the UN is undemocratic.
  24. I managed to catch a couple youtube videos over the weekend pertaining to that. Just more proof that false flag operations exist.
  25. Well, you know considering the Topic is 'Iran threatens to attack Tel Aviv' ... I thought I'd stay in the topic. But for your purpose, please replace Israel with any other country out there. I'd sure hate to be pegged as an anti-semite !!!!! White Doors I am talking about subscribing to the mantra or ideals of the UN. I am wrong to say that the US is not part of the UN, I mean to say the ICC. But most countries use the UN for their own gain. But be disingenuous whenever you feel like it.
