I see 2 years of childish complaining and bickering that I let go on for too long.

Just as the police can't change the behaviour or moderate the actions of the public, the moderators can't force people to treat each other with respect.  That particular thread, along with many others created in the past few weeks, shows that...

I've openly stated that we're all volunteers who are trying to do our best -- but that doesn't seem to matter to those self righteous members who feel their opinion is never to be challenged, that they are somehow above the rules, and that the moderators are some slack-jawed morons who have no idea what they're doing.

I've repeated told members that the only true solution to someone who disrespects or disrupts a discussion is to ignore them. Instead, everyone seems to feel that if they're some how wronged, they can jump right in and attack right back - the rules be damned.

And then the moderators, who can't possibly be here 24/7 because they have jobs and families, are expected to dole out punishments judiciously?  

And to top everything off, we all have to listen to the various shrinking violets who, after breaking the rules in defence of their positions, take to the support forums to question every single moderation action. To bitch and moan about how so and so member is so much worse than anything they've ever seen in their lives.

It's all pretty pathetic... and to be to be honest, I've had just about enough of this nonsense.

You may be correct when it comes to almost all politicians, but not when it concerns ideology and policy of non-politicians.

The non-politicians don't run the nation Shady.

Everyone running for POTUS from the major parties are bought and paid for by their corporate campaign donors, that's why they sound the same, because they represent the same interests. Except for Bernie Sanders, the only candidate without a Super PAC and refuses all corporate donations.

Yeah, it's annoying having to click on the SU and get taken to the members page, then scroll down and if there are lots of comments you have to keep clicking to see them.  

But I do it cause I love all you guys!  And girls!  

Don't click on the member, click on the time or replies below the status message and it will take you to the comment. I agree the older interface was better in that regards, but at least you don't have to scroll down through other comments.

I usually get a gold embossed card delivered by UPS when that happens to me. I'd complain about it if I was you.

So basically, your instinctive answer to absolutely any question is "but, but, but...Trump!"  You seem to have the veracity of a troother.

Possibly he meant the south africa one, but who knows. They get locked fairly frequently.

You know, you should respect the fact that he's there for us, even if some of his decisions don't meet your criteria of fairness. He has a tough role, but I disagree with some of the rules of the site entirely, but he has to enforce them.

I agree with Argus, most people here are too stupid, but I think it's due to feeling forced to defend an indefensible point of view.  

If that was the answer, then I have to assume the question was one of the following:

1) Are you being led by a completely useless moron in Ottawa?

2) Are you happy sending billions to foreign nations that can't find Canada on a map?

3) Do you really prefer supporting illegal immigrants over actual Canadians that need help?

And he could well be there at least until the mid terms so I guess we better get used to it.
