  1. Gee Gerry, those guys deserve punishment then. Better leave them there to get shot at and killed rather than go home and live their lives in freedom and have this ten year old girl killed in sectarian vilolence. Yes lets dictate policy by the actions of a few. COME ON PEOPLE! How many civilians were massacred in world war 2? Should we have pulled out of Europe for one massacre? Im not saying its right but a Platoon Commander who could not keep control of his Squad is hardly grounds for radical change in policy.
  2. True life story, A couple of weeks ago i had a chance to go to toronto with my father for business. In my leisure time there was a Hockey game going on, Junior sports of some kind, featuring a hockey team from Michigan. For those who dont know i was original from Michigan. So I said what the hell and ducked in to watch the games. Well they were playing the nation anthem of Canada and people were singing along etc. then they played the National Anthem for the USA, for the Michigan team, well the Candians started booing. And hurling insults at the American kids. These kids might be 15 or 16 at the most. I served my country in foreign countries, and ive been in some pretty hostile places, were the people obviously did not appreciate us being there. This was on par of being in those places. Needless to say i got out of there and went back to my hotel.
  3. Just last night i felt forced to break up with my girlfriend of over a year. I called her house around 1030 PM, she told me she was going to sleep. I called back at 11 PM her brother answered and told me she went to my house. So natuarally a bit curious i call her back and ask her whats shes doing. She told me having a smoke outside her house!?! SO now im suspicious, I said thats funny i just called your house and your brother said you were not there. Then she tells me shes going to drop a purse off at her friend Noel's house. But i say your brother told me you said you were coming here? So not only did she lie to her brother but she lied to me as well. Natuarally i broke up with her on the spot. The question is am I morally correct to have taken the action I did or should i have given her the benefit of the doubt? Keep in mind we arent college kids were both working adults.
  4. Absolutely nothing wrong with being an American
  5. My favorite part is where he said the US military is going to collapse . Not all the time but a good portion of it this website brings some real humor to the table.
  6. I believe a day is coming when people get sick of this on both sides, and the new crusades will begin, world war 3:muslim and friends vs rest of world
  7. I do believe that the lawyers (including those in the UK) said it was, at best, 'iffy'. Certainly not outright 'legal'. It actually relies on convoluted logic and leaps of faith to produce a 'maybe'.PS. Welcome back, Krusty. Legality of the war aside, he signed a binding contract to serve the United states of America and to fight where he was told to, this isnt vietnam, he was not drafted into it. If he was really a man, he would refuse to fight and go to jail. As far as my personal opinion, hes a chicken shit little bastard, and if were in my platoon id have him busted out so fast his head would spin.
  8. What: you think you'll enjoy paying $25 a gallon at the pump? True enough
  9. Even if he was bluffing, did make this an "illegal and immoral" war? Ohhhh...a cliffhanger. When do we tune in for the final episode of The Pure Truth™? Does anyone hear wanna take the chance that he was bluffing? You dont put on a condom unless your gonna fuck.
  10. blackdog you wrote: Instability in Iraq Threatens the whole region. If a full scale civil war broke out, you'd see Turkey, Syria, Iran and Saudi Arabia embroiled in short order. Instability, political and military strife is far harder to control and contain than the rigid structur eof Saddam's dictatorship. GOOD, let them all blow eachother up, then we will have an easier time dominating them all
  11. Americans Written by an Australian Dentist... You probably missed it in the rush of news last week, but there was actually a report that someone in Pakistan had published in a newspaper an offer of a reward to anyone who killed an American, any American. So an Australian dentist wrote an editorial the following day to let everyone know what an American is so they would know when they found one. (Good one, mate!) To Kill an American "An American is English, or French, or Italian, Irish, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian or Greek. An American may also be Canadian, Mexican, African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Australian, Iranian, Asian, or Arab, or Pakistani or Afghan. An American may also be a Comanche, Cherokee, Osage, Blackfoot, Navaho, Apache, Seminole or one of the many other tribes known as native Americans. An American is Christian, or he could be Jewish, or Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact, there are more Muslims in America than in Afghanistan. The only difference is that in America they are free to worship as each of them chooses. An American is also free to believe in no religion. For that he will answer only to God, not to the government, or to armed thugs claiming to speak for the government and for God. An American lives in the most prosperous land in the history of the world. The root of that prosperity can be found in the Declaration of Independence, which recognizes the God given right of each person to the pursuit of happiness. An American is generous. Americans have helped out just about every other nation in the world in their time of need, never asking a thing in return. When Afghanistan was over-run by the Soviet army 20 years ago, Americans came with arms and supplies to enable the people to win back their country! As of the morning of September 11, Americans had given more than any other nation to the poor in Afghanistan. Americans welcome the best of everything...the best products, the best books, the best music, the best food, the best services. But they also welcome the least. The national symbol of America, The Statue of Liberty, welcomes your tired and your poor, the wretched refuse of your teeming shores, the homeless, tempest tossed. These in fact are the people who built America. Some of them were working in the Twin Towers the morning of September 11, 2001 earning a better life for their families. It's been told that the World Trade Center victims were from at least 30 different countries, cultures, and first languages, including those that aided and abetted the terrorists. So you can try to kill an American if you must. Hitler did. So did General Tojo, and Stalin, and Mao Tse-Tung, and other blood-thirsty tyrants in the world. But, in doing so you would just be killing yourself. Because Americans are not a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom. Everyone who holds to that spirit, everywhere, is an American. Please keep this going! Pass this around the World, then pass it around again. It says it all, for all of us.
  12. I have several guns for the day they try to infect this country with there shit. I admit it im bigoted towards islamic culture. Ill kill any motherfucker who trys to convert me, my family, friends, or neighbors, forcefully to islam.
  13. I wouldnt even mind bush that much if he didnt spend like a liberal
  14. I "beat the wardrum" as you u put it, but thanks ive already had my ass shot at for this country. Be careful who you generalize.
  15. Ok let me just solve this little issue right here and now. I served for 8 years in the United States Marine corps, less than 30 percent of active military personell see actually combat. This guy was a coward pure and simple, If you voluntarily take the commitment to the United States Armed forces than you damn well better live up to it. Does that mean you kill innocent civilians because your CO tells you to, no, does that mean you deploy as you are ordered to, yes it does. This guy deserves to go to jail, period, After that, dishonorable discharge, then revoke his citizenship. Let whatever country that wants him can have him. He wasnt drafted, he wasnt ordered to mow down citizens. Bottom line this guy was a pure chicken shit.
  16. August, if Saddam was such a threat, why didn't the pre-invasion plan include the guarding of Al Qa Qaa, a huge munitions dump. After all, wasn't most of Iraq's oil refineries heavily protected? And why no guarding of the certain borders, say like Syria, just in case those peskly WMD's might wander awry? They only had so many troops to cover so many places. If there is one criticism, it was no bring enough troops into Iraq. Gee, why is that? They botched that. They had more than enough troops. That was the point of my post. Duh. Methinks you never were in the military to make a statment like that. Do you know how large a borde iraq has? Theres no way in hell we could cover that entire border of iraq unless we ordered up a draft of 100,000 plus men.
  17. 'Glass' them??? You actually can't commit violence against a culture, (unless it's bacterial) as it is not a physical entity. Similar to a 'war on terror(ism)'. as in Muhammed blows up a church in Germany, hunt his ass down, arrest him, and execute him for terrorism. These people who preform these acts dont deserve to live.
  18. That's really why all these protests and attacks exhibit the weakness of the underlying doctrine itself -- if they honestly believe in a powerful and omnipotent god who will strike down his enemies, why do they need to go to bat for him? He can just twiddle his little finger and take care of his enemies. Unless, of course, that powerful and omnipotent god doesn't exist, or they have doubts about his power and omnipotence. . . If they want their countries to be under total lockdown from freedom of speech, so be it. The muslims exhibiting outrage in the form of violence are only securing the fact that they can't tolerate the kind of lifestyle we take for granted. It's a shame that they feel the need to resort to violence but to each their own i guess. Personally I'm staying right here in U.S.A. where there's a lot of political drama, but I can draw a cartoon and not have to worry about being shot at. I can't wait to see Europe and australia, but you couldn'y pay me enough to step off a plane in any country where the people are so determined to not let others express an opinion. Unless actually eurpoeans do something about the flood over muslim immigrants into there, europe is on its way to being another mulim continent. That will leave only parts of Asia, S.America, S. Africa, Pacific asia, and N. America as the only free places in the world. Just look at the countries under siege from Muslim extremism Russia France England Germany Italy Every single country in Eastern Europe Spain The muslims are going to slowly take over these countries just by having kids like rabbits have babies.
  19. The cartoons were published in a Danish newspaper in Denmark. The protests against free speech occurred in London. Do you think a fundamentalist Islamic definition of free speech should apply in Canada? Should it be illegal for Canadians to ridicule certain religious figures? Should it be illegal for Canadians to question certain religious practices? I'm not saying it should be illegal. I'm saying it would be wise to respect their feelings. As I said, with rights comes responsiblity. We wouldn't goad and insult someone pointing a loaded gun at us just because we have the right. We know that insulting Allah will provoke the extremists to kill, yet we choose to be more concerned about our right to do so than we are with the very likely consequence. We can't control their response, but we can control our actions. And as I said, we can't expect them to respect our laws when we don't respect our laws outside of our country. We seem to want it all. We seem to think it's all about us and our wants and desires. We see it only through our eyes. How civilized is it to drop bombs on innocent people? How is it any more right to kill for our wants and desires than it is to kill for insulting Allah? We should be able to insult Allah, and we can. But there will be consequencs. So is it worth it? Or would it make more sense in this troubled world to respect Allah? Wouldn't we all benefit more from that? Hopefully this isn't just a headstrong game of "we have that right so no one is going to stop us." Hopefully it isn't just a power struggle between them and us. It needs to go deeper than that. There has to be respect. Someone has to be the first to give that respect. Someone has to make the first move. Nothing we've been doing so far has done anything to help solve the problem. I don't remember who said it, but it's true that if you keep doing what you've been doing, you'll keep getting what you've been getting. We need to change what we are doing. I think you hit something here however i dont think you took it far enough. it should be. "Sure i shouldnt taunt someone who carries a loaded gun, but if that mother fucker aims it at me, he sure as shit better kill me because im gonna send him to meet allah if he misses." The problem i have with catering to there feelings is, When the fuck have they ever done it for us? The truth of the matter is they dont care. One westerner dead is as good as another. I believe we are at war with Islamic fundmentalism, albiet not a conventional battle the vicitims are just the same, dead. Have we fucked with them over oil for years, you betcha. Is it morally right? Probably not. But then i dont really wanna live under muslic rule. So as far as im concerned, glass any mother fucker who does violence on western culture.
  20. "'A mini-meme that has begun developing is that, "Conservatives are taking a 2nd look at McCain." That seems extremely doubtful. As the Right-Of-Center Bloggers Select The Most & Least Desired 2008 Republican Nominee (2006 Edition) poll showed, McCain is despised by much of the right side of the blogosphere and is even less popular than he was in 2005, so it's hard to see how he could be getting more popular with conservatives on the whole.' I agree. I don't think McCain is as popular with the Republican base as the MSM portrays him. I'd be interested in hearing ModerateameriCain's (and others) take on this. " I am actually not very suprised. John Mccain doesnt have his hands deep in the pockets of big industrialist. Sure he may get slipped coin here or there but hes not part of the "power" republicans. Hes also far too liberal in social policies for the religious factions to give him there blessing. A great candidate who is in the wrong era.
  21. One reason why Libertarians didn't get more votes in the election is because you shut us out of the debates. The other is your ballot access laws which make us spend millions to get on the ballots even in districts where we outpace one of the two Tweedle parties. And finally, the Reform party received millions of votes in prior elections and you didn't let them in the debates either. The real reason you resist including the third largest party in the debates is fear. You're afraid we'll show the American people that your "small government" rhetoric is all bullshit as you've grown the government faster and larger than any other party in history. It is funny though that you're suddenly concerned about the popular vote now -- your Tweedledum party wasn't so concerned with the popular vote in election 2000, was it? But I guess whatever argument works at the time should be employed, right? After all, hopefully nobody will notice the inconsistencies. Ah, but we're noticing. And we keep doing better and better in every election. Eventually, we'll start costing you seats in close elections. Then we'll replace you as the primary opposition in a couple of others, and send folks to Washington. Then, your worst nightmare begins! I would love to see a third or even a fouth party in american politics. A triangle is your sturdiest structure after all....
  22. i scored a 70 percent personal and 90 percent ecomonmic. which put me in the libertarian category
  23. From: Sent: Thursday, February 02, 2006 7:10 AM Subject: Subject: Fw: Do you remember this Thought you might be interested in this forgotten bit of information.......... It was 1987! At a lecture the other day they were playing an old news video of Lt.Col. Oliver North testifying at the Iran-Contra hearings during the Reagan Administration. There was Ollie in front of God and country getting the third degree, but what he said was stunning! He was being drilled by a senator; "Did you not recently spend close to $60,000 for a home security system?" Ollie replied, "Yes, I did, Sir." The senator continued, trying to get a laugh out of the audience, "Isn't that just a little excessive?" "No, sir," continued Ollie. "No? And why not?" the senator asked. "Because the lives of my family and I were threatened, sir." "Threatened? By whom?" the senator questioned. "By a terrorist, sir" Ollie answered. "Terrorist? What terrorist could possibly scare you that much?" "His name is Osama bin Laden, sir" Ollie replied. At this point the senator tried to repeat the name, but couldn't pronounce it, which most people back then probably couldn't. A couple of people laughed at the attempt. Then the senator continued. Why are you so afraid of this man?" the senator asked. "Because, sir, he is the most evil person alive that I know of", Ollie answered. "And what do you recommend we do about him?" asked the senator. "Well, sir, if it was up to me, I would recommend that an assassin team be formed to eliminate him and his men from the face of the earth." The senator disagreed with this approach, and that was all that was shown of the clip. By the way, that senator was Al Gore! Also: Terrorist pilot Mohammad Atta blew up a bus in Israel in 1986. The Israelis captured, tried and imprisoned him. As part of the Oslo agreement with the Palestinians in 1993, Israel had to agree to release so-called "political prisoners." However, the Israelis would not release any with blood on their hands, The American President at the time, Bill Clinton, and his Secretary of State, Warren Christopher, "insisted" that all prisoners be released. &nb! sp; Thus Mohammad Atta was freed and eventually thanked the US by flying an airplane into Tower One of the World Trade Center. This was reported by many of the American TV networks at the time that the terrorists were first identified. It was censored in the US from all later reports. If you agree that the American public should be made aware of this fact, pass this on. This is an email i got today. enjoy.
  24. When are people gonna realize you cant stop a tank with a fountain pen? Liberal, conservative, or anything in between, i hope you know how to shoot a gun. Because those who dont still can die from them.
