  1. It's not about two guys ,it's about most of the support for the NDP , exiting because of bad policies and characters within the NDP... I'm sure you are going to mansplain that for us "two guys"....next you can explain why all the WOKE BS about what qualifies as a candidate. I mean lets face reality here the NDP party is a shell of it's former self and that can only be linked to the parties policies and bad leadership.... And it is not that we hate the NDP, it takes all kinds to build a village, and the wacky doodles have to go some where...our political system was designed for just that reason...I have combed through our history and have only come up with a couple of examples of NDP members that were worth anything Jack Layton, Tommy Douglas...and i look at what the NDP is today and laugh....
  2. That's a bold statement August, perhaps you can explain how you came to this outcome, do you have Naval command experience ? Many Canadians think they know better than the people who command our military, or those that have the experience or knowledge of running certain aspects of our military... Canada has had subs for decades and now today you decide we don't need them, and yet the commander of the NAVY states they are an integral part of the NAVY, NATO commanders have stated that SUBS play a major role in the NAVY....Anyone that served in the NAVY will state that SUBs are the most dangerous weapon in the NAVY... This has got nothing to do with trump....full stop...This has everything to do with replacing Subs that pose a life threatening danger TO Canadian SUBMARINERS...every time they go out...these subs have already claimed the lives of Canadians...and some how they are to much for you to wrap your mind around... Canadians are only as great as they want to be, and right now we are laggards in our duties and signed defense commitments, we are weak 9in the eyes of our allied, and internally we have two groups of people who don't want to be Canadians....we don't have the will to fix any of it....that's not the sign of a great people , its a sign of lazy bunch of quitters...
  3. Not only is the new regulations on being a candidate on the verge of being on the extreme left, but there are many more examples... here are a few examples... where does it stop, With this party....With everything being wrong with this country, and some how this is what they the party choose to make Canadians lives that much easier...Their idea was to restrict freedom of speech, because it makes things that much better in this country... What we need is for all parties to concentrate on what is really wrong with this country...Not to be a distraction Peter MacKinnon: Will wannabe NDP leaders protect free speech from the likes of Leah Gazan? NDP bill would prescribe jail terms for speaking well of fossil fuels | National Post
  4. They are already good Canadian companies providing samples to our ground forces, ...There are just to many out there and the tech is so new no one really knows what will work or not...hence why they are testing so many brands...My son tells me some are just junk, to light to fragile, but each has its own merits, IE light drones are much quitter able to sneak up on bad guys other are away to big, but loud... some as small as a dragon fly, others could carry 100 lbs of ordnance or sensors..
  5. Suicide drones, i have not heard of anything just yet, Drone doctrine has not really been established in NATO or Canada just yet they are working with the problem, experimenting with different equipment......that and the tech is evolving at lightning speed...just last year drones were free flight, now they are fiber op to prevent jamming....and with our procurement we would be buying the wrong stuff anyways it would be obsolete before it gets used....... Today, as soon as you find something with a drone in less than a couple of minutes you can call in for fires, be it 155MM arty rounds, soon to be Rockets for MLRS, or air strike....if they are available...The guy on the ground life span just got that much shorter... I think for now NATO is sticking with large maneuver groups made up with combined ops in depth in mind, while in Ukraine it is most part static.. and most units critical short on equipment and manpower...
  6. When you have a leak in your plumbing do you you rely on your wife's advice to fix it, or call a professional....The Head of the NAVY has spent years of training and experience to know what it takes to defend the nation...And if he says we need subs, i would say we need subs....Now not sure what experience you or taxme has, but I'm sure you can't compete with the Naval commander.... It may sound useless to you, but i would remind you, these guys are the ones that will be defending the country if it comes to that, it will be their lives on the line, not yours....you should have a little more faith in their choices...And maybe one day it will be your sons or daughters grand sons or grand daughters, that are strapping into that equipment wouldn't it be nice that they had a fighting chance to come back to their families.......Instead of having their names engraved on some cenotaph or read aloud on NOV 11...
  7. The units have been testing all kinds of drones mostly for ground recce, Arty but it will take some time before they do finally make a mass buy....I have not seen any fiber op drones yet...
  8. To all the Canadian vets and the ones down south, may fortune find you and yours, may your pain be turned to joy . I hope you spent this day with friends and family laughing mostly about those good times spent with comrades, and to shed a tear for those we lost. I raise a pint of beer to you all...We will not forget them ever...Pro Patria.
  9. Just want to say thank you for the tribute, it means a lot on this day. And thank you for all that went out and attended a ceremony...It does make this day go a little easier...
  10. Yes the conservatives were struggling at the time, But they were not the ones burning down the country that was the liberals...comparing the conservative parties leadership struggles to what the Liberals did to the country indicates is apples and oranges....Conservatives had nothing to do with any of that... I think carneys numbers are much lower than 75 % and shrinking...., and at this point of time if we were to judge Carneys progress towards his campaign promises he has got almost nothing done....This budget was suppose to be his turning point but really we got nothing of any interest...
  11. Well you see the trick is to pull your head out of the sand every once in a while.... All it is going to take is 10 more years of liberal governance, and someone will be able to buy Canada for a ty domi rookie card...and 10 Mexican pesos.
  12. We surrendered a long time ago, back in 2015 when we elected sock boy....we have been waiting for someone just to put us out of our misery....
  13. Yes, PP was the problem....you guys make me laugh, the problem was the Liberal party that had power for the last 10 years.....you conveniently forgot about all of that and concentrated on the fact You don't like PP....But switched your vote to the party that burnt Canada to the ground almost....Ya lets bury those facts....Lets give them another chance because the have a such an outstanding record in history of throwing our country under the bus.... The only thing that changed is the liberal party has a banker as a leader , the rest of the nightmare is still there producing the same crap....only now you can point out the leader is a banker....who has said a lot in the past 7 months but produced squat...And now many other bankers and economists are saying Carneys plans is not a good one....
  14. One could always turn that around, Carney did not get a majority....so one would have to ask why? because PP can compete....
  15. LOL, why are we 1.4 trillion in debt...Is it because we spend more than we make....or are you using the new math...
  16. Is it worth 78 bil, to lease 4 airplanes....Would you vote for this budget ?
  17. Your missing the point the EU dictated what Greece could spend their money on until that debt was paid off...Banks limited the amount of money customers could withdrawal, the country was in serious crises... Does not make it the right way to do business...Running deficits seems normal today, but there is a limit, now the PBO office and even major credit rating agencies has "warned" Canada you are at the tipping point of having our credit rating down graded to just AA which would mean we would be paying a higher interest rate than we are now...When these agencies are warning our government that's a red flag... that's not the time to produce a 78 bil deficit. Not true Chretien paid attention to the deficit and while we were paying it down it got painful for a lot of Canadians...DND suffered big time during that period...paying this deficit down would be extremely painful... And don't think for a minute Trump would not take advantage of that...
  18. Do you run your house hold like that? so why would we run a country like that. Many of the services we have are not needs but rather wants or nice to have... You should ask Greece how they handled their finances until the EU had to bail them out and the EU dictated how to spend their money ...
  19. Again there is not one liberal of leftist commenting on the budget in this post........maybe they are thinking about where they placed their vote, and to be honest he was touted as the guy who could handle trump, and he is a world class banker what could go wrong.... This budget is higher than the any of them in WWII, Korea, or any other crises we have had....and we As Canadians are still waiting for a sign any sign...that things are going to get better....In the mean time things are pretty quit here from the left side of the spectrum....Are liberals just bowing their heads and shaking them saying i don't know what went wrong...or are they partying like it was 1999....and they are to hung over to say anything...Come on liberal talk to me goose...
  20. Maybe you could share with the rest of us, send a screen shot of your 8 ball, or crystal ball....or scattered chicken bones, or what ever voodoo magic you use as a source that gives credence to your insight...or is this your best guess ?
  21. That's a crock of Sh!t, I think what every Canadian wants is these immigrants to have something in common with our culture...or willing to adopt to our culture, and a lot have , but then again a lot have not, lets just take the Palestinian refugees here in Canada who's only goal is to protest, and disrupt Canadians blaming others for racism is just an excuse that leftist use to enforce their argument... The worlds is not full of unicorns and rainbows, there are many cultures that do not mix well with western nations, we see that in Europe right now, and to a lesser extent we are seeing it right here in Canada....I think we have already proven that diversity is not a strength but a weakness...and in reality there are nations that should have a huge red x across they admittance to Canada...for many reasons.
  22. Every nation was built on stolen land, in one shape or another....What is different is some how Canada thinks it should give back those lands, because it makes leftists fell better about themselves...most of which did not have ancestors here at the time who did not take part in these historical wrongs....my point is how far back in history do we have to go back to correct all of this, and if we go back far enough do we make indigenous people also give back territory they conquered from other tribes...
  23. Lets be real, Justin started a huge dumpster fire, and Liberal voters let him, by giving him 3 terms....And Carney is left with a heap of ashes, fires all around him, pressure from inter national community to final pay into the NATO club what is due, I am glad in a way a liberal government formed the next government , as fixing what Justin did, is going to take more than just a banker, it is going to take a miracle..... I think the conservatives dodged a bullet there...
  24. According to the PBO we are at the tipping point right now....according to other experts we are close to our limit without having our credit rating down graded which would mean more interest tacked on and more debt...And what happens if we as a nation have another crises like covid or something else, there will be no more borrowing room....
  25. I'm surprised no one is talking about the budget....but rather deflecting on a floor crosser.....For a guy that is suppose to be a banker, investor , a financial wizard, why are other leading experts having doubts on this budget as it was presented....I mean i look at the numbers and say 78 bil that's a Poop ton of loonies, and what did or are we getting for it...not a whole lot really....and that's the first budget, can't wait to see the 3 rd or 4 th budget...And the liberals are touting this as the holy grail of budgets... I like to know what liberals are think is this get the job done or is not high enough...
