More about the F-35 and the politics around the Gripen. This time from a Canadian test pilot involved in the orginal purchase.... And here is another perspective for the pros and cons of both aircraft....

What we have to date is a lot of words and promises...but i agree this is a the first time in decades the military has a hope in getting fixed, but we are still full of a lot of promises...

You know exactly what i'm saying...are you saying kids in our education system have a choice, are you saying they have nor confronted anyone by not using their preferred pronouns....That our own government pushed this agenda.....and if your saying we have a choice in all this , my choice is not to get involved in their fantasy or yours...

I understand that this is some mental health issue, and for you that have bought into this may also need help...It is all fantasy, all about poor parenting, about our poor education system supporting this fantasy, changing our language on the whim of this fantasy the list goes on and on........which has not based in reality or science... Now in the confines of your own spaces you can call yourself anything you want, want to call yourself an airplane and run around the neighborhood flapping your arms...good on you...Just don't force me into your fantasy....I got enough issues by myself i don't need yours...

This is about US, this is about every Canadian, accusations have been made but not yet proven..

No i did not forget, What i was doing is pointing out that THIS liberal government cut Veterans affairs funding by more than Half...And using the excuse that the Conservatives have cut Veterans affairs in the past would give the liberal the license to cut funding by half is a silly argument... Lets face it, our military has never been a priority for Canadians period, for many decades...Considering the unwavering loyalty of our Military members have shown this country, not to mention all of their sacrifices they make on a daily bases only to have Canadians dismiss all of this because it does not effect their own tiny bubbles...I and many other vets find this disheartening, embarrassing, and in some cases disgusting.... Canadians don't have to worry about WHY recruitment is down i mean who wants to sign up for unlimited liability for a country who really does not care one way or another, ...And it is not just the military, it is every career that involves unlimited liability, police, fire fighters, EMS, all of them are asking WHY, when we as a nation can not even bother to just equip them properly, train them, pay them and finally give them some respect... And while the current Liberal government is moving in the right direction, it needs to move a lot faster than they are right now....

I find it very strange , that the reason this budget passed was nobody meaning oppositions parties, wanted to go to the polls....or so they say....2 conservatives said they had problems voting online....and would later have their votes counted in chambers just when they knew they had enough votes to ensure it did not PASS and the NDP who voted last knew how many was needed to pass the budget and gave just the right amount to look good for their voters....all because they are not ready to go to the polls...it seem the only ones wanting or ready was the liberals....who were confident it would fail or they hoped it would to go for that majority.....Politics...maybe, theater yes sir every bit of it....Voters fooled as usual

I did not mean it a way to get into a pissing contest with you, I did use the word soldiers, i should have been more inclusive i guess, but i think everyone got my message....I should have taken the time and typed our airmen and Naval personal...but lets be honest here, when it comes to fire fighting, flood relief, or Ice storm even covid operations and certainly OKA stand offs...the majority of the load was lifted by soldiers , did the other elements take part sure they did, in air lift or tactical aviation assets and even the NAVY guys in the Winnipeg floods......but 99 % of the people on the ground were Army guys.... JTF and CSOR have been doing ops in places like Syria, Jordan, Iraq for years now, u tube is full of instances of them deployed in countries where we traditionally have no foot print....Now if you have sources that state other wise then please bring them forward....i talk to ex BN guys that joined either CSOR or the Unit...all the time and they paint a much different story....below is a list of operations that DND has said is happening it does not list those that are classified...but it does not support your statement... https://www.canada.ca/en/department-national-defence/services/operations/military-operations/current-operations.html

No it's not pretty basic, not once in any of those classes did we talk about gender expression, it was biology class not some mental health issue....in fact no expression classes at all....maybe in drama class, but i did not take those classes.. My generation had enough issues for everyone to concentrate on....without making up some fantasy about i feel like a FIRE TRUCK, CAT, or what every else they want to identify as.... Now you may be gullible enough to buy into this mental health issue....but not me

Budget passed , barely ...2 absent/refraining form voting Conservatives, and 2 from NDP....NDP leader says they or better yet Canadians are not wanting an election...I guess that would depend on which party you vote for...i think most Conservatives are ready....I mean for voters all it means is listening to all parties promising us the moon, and delivering almost nothing and finally standing in line to place your vote....if were are not ready to do that, at the very least maybe a democracy is to much for Canadians.. Anyways the liberals are celebrating this narrow victory, but it is a sign that Canadians are growing tired of waiting for some results from this government.

Canadian armed forces has a wide scope of experience , manpower, and equipment that is not available any where else in Canada....why would the government NOT use them in periods of crises.....That's part of the experience of being a soldier, one day you can be filling sand bags in a flood zone, and the next being in some operation be it seizing drugs, or hunting down terrorist....everyday is a surprise... Again your knowledge about our military is telling....JTF-2 and CSOR are operational everyday of the year, around the world....doing just that shooting bad guys and blowing shit up, Just because the Herbies of the country don't know about it or rather have buried their heads in the sand and refuse to acknowledge it....IT does happen, I've given you many examples where our soldiers are in combat and still are... You don't have to hoof it down south, And we are still supporting the war on terrorism....Just because we did not start anything does not mean we are not involved....you should be asking why your government is not being transparent with you and the rest of Canadians...I mean the media knows, soldiers know, the government knows, everyone but Herbie knows...

Other than the airforce testing each aircraft 3 times, what makes you think the Air force does not know what it is doing...and could range be negated by internal drop tanks, or air to air refueling... The F-35 has so much more to offer than the gripen like sensors, stealth, and is a Gen 5 aircraft, there is more of them...

And, the air force fighter pilots looked at that, and still decided the gripen to never do better than 3 rd place on 3 separate occasions...i know what do they know...

Again your posting stuff you have no idea about what your talking about...Any if not all your posting here on this topic is false....all of which could be confirmed by a simple google search....It is actually sad how Canadians could be this uneducated about our military then again interest in our military is practically nil...the Herbies of the world are proving that over and over... Subs being used to deliver supplies or doing medivacs in the artic...That requires a poop load of imagination, good job on stretching that truth beyond the breaking point....I mean i might be wrong and maybe some NAVY guy can correct me, has anyone seen a sub delivering supplies or picking up medivacs...We do have ships that do that kind of stuff....

Perhaps you can show me where in our rights does it say you can break the law because it is for a good cause .....when it suits them, those drugs are illegal period, having these drugs is illegal, dealing drugs is illegal...regardless of your intentions... how is this not black and white...

Appointed by Canada but must be approved by the King....and while it is ceremonial, we still follow the policies...

It is not tradition it is how our entire government is set up and run...want to cut out the royal family would be harder than you think and would cost bils....does our government need to be reworked....sure it does, but to what ? do we even have the will to change it...

Subs to surface navy guys is on the same level as grunts yelling tanks to our front....for a reason....they spark fear because they are deadly...

It is all about lives...i mean why have a nail gun when you can buy a steel hammer, which is slower not as efficient as the nail gun ...because the nail gun has advantages the hammer does not...Advantages mean coming home alive or in a bag...So ya if your comfortable with burying our soldiers over giving them modern equipment it speaks volumes about your character...

It meets A lot of the specs, but not all of them, which would explain why it did not place any higher than 3 rd place out of 3 separate competitions. F-35 meets and exceeds all specs, for the same price.... If you take a look at the aircraft in the air force you'll find most are manufactured in the US , not because we are reliant but rather they are superior to most aircraft out there...

You can disagree it is your right, touring a few battlefield does not give you more knowledge and experience than the Admiral of the navy.... but i have spent years reading books about flight, lived next to an airport, flown in an airplane and i know this is hard to believe i still can not fly with a damn....i've tried and tried, despite my neighbors laughing at my attempts of running and flapping my arms... Canadians do not get along....and it is not Canadians we are worried about... And every government has tied their hands together....

It has nothing to do with the democratic government....we swear allegiance to the monarch as a form of protection so your government can not declare war or send troops against it's own people with out some checks and balances being sought first.. Most security departments do not swear allegiance to the government it is to the queens representative....
