  1. It appears that TimG is busted not punked. http://www.theatlanticwire.com/politics/2012/08/sher-valenzuela-didnt-build-her-own-website-and-why-it-may-haunt-gop/56227/
  2. Please tell me your understanding of Romney/Ryan position on abortion. Thanks, I am reading so many conflicting reports, I would like to know how others view their policy position.
  3. Try this one, you can expand it beyond questions shown for additioal questions. http://www.isidewith.com/presidential-election-quiz
  4. I have no idea, I read the article that was posted and noticed that it was dated May of 2010. Obviously, I misread your comment and thought you were questioning why it was not in today’s media. Sorry for the misread, thought I was helping.
  5. Maybe because that is a two year old article?
  6. Okay, I got it now.....he won’t release 5 years of tax returns, he will not give the details of his budget plan, he will not reveal the individual tax deductions to be elminated and do not dare ask him about abortion....never thought I would see the bar so low for a president.
  7. Romney may have a little trouble holding his religius right flank. The backlash some Republicans had feared may be happening and even the voting record of Ryan isn’t deflecting this criticism. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/08/23/gop-grassroots-furious-at-romney-over-akin-abortion-rape-exception.html
  8. Although Ryan's new plan is better than the previous one, it still changes Medicare as we know it. Seniors will pay more for less. http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/health/2012/08/15/fact-check-obamas-attack-ad-on-romney-ryan-medicare-overhaul/
  9. Where is the standard equal, Shady. That makes no sense. Whatever Wright or Ayres said that you find so offensive doe not compare to this man's ignornace about the trauma of rape, or if there is legitimate or illegitimate rape, or what mechanisms woman have to prevent pregnancy, or require a woman to carry the baby of a rapist for 9 months. Individually or collectively all are ignorant statments. It was stunning that he said it but even more stunning that you see nothing wrong with it.
  10. Only in the mind of an ignorant man.
  11. This is the company Ryan keeps and one of the co-sponsor of the bill..... The company that Ryan keeps.......... http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/the_rumble/2012/08/todd-akin-paul-ryan-and-the-very-real-war-on-women
  12. No need to wait for Fareed Zakaria to respond, Politico and Paul Krugman speak. http://www.politico.com/blogs/media/2012/08/krugman-to-newsweek-correct-obama-story-132502.html
  13. Very impressive, kimmy, an excellent read.
  14. Republicans seem to be comfortable in winning PA...........with a little help from thier judges.
  15. This may work out well for the ticket but it certainly diminishes Romney and makes him look weak. His emasculation now appears to be complete. Read more: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0812/79814.html#ixzz23o2LcumR
  16. Thanks, glad to know that most understood. Thanks again...good to know,I will try to remember that.
  17. I did not say that. He flip-flopped because there are more Christians in the US than Randites. No, it is not a talking point, old or new. Joe Biden is a Roman Catholic! Are you always this obtuse?
  18. I have and according Marketwatch, Obama is “tighter with a buck than any United States president since Dwight D. Eisenhower” http://www.forbes.com/sites/rickungar/2012/05/24/who-is-the-smallest-government-spender-since-eisenhower-would-you-believe-its-barack-obama/ No, she was for the 1 percenters, not the common man. Shady, I have read much of your nonsense about America but this one is beyond the pale. Women are having rights taken away from them by the religious right that control many of our state houses, and the House of Republicans is following suit. I would ask you what freedoms the religious right have lost? I can tell you what rights we women are losing. I , agree, it was a smart move, just don’t be a weasel about it,man up. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-57494878-503544/ryan-denies-requesting-stimulus-funds/ Since you don’t want to take Ryan’s word for it....try this one on. When it comes to the Recovery Act, the facts are on Obama's side. For starters, there is voluminous evidence that the stimulus did provide real stimulus, helping to stop a terrifying free-fall, avert a second Depression, and end a brutal recession. America's top economic forecasters -- Macroeconomic Advisers, Moody's Economy.com, IHS Global Insight, JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, and the Congressional Budget Office -- agree that it increased GDP at least 2 percentage points, the difference between contraction and growth, and saved or created about 2.5 million jobs. The concept of "saved or created" has inspired a lot of sarcasm -- Obama joked after his 2009 Thanksgiving pardon that he had just saved or created four turkeys -- but it simply means 2.5 million more people would have been jobless without the Recovery Act. The unemployment rate might still be in the double digits. Of course, as Obama's critics on the left and right correctly point out, the 8 percent U.S. jobless rate is still terribly high. And there's no way to run a double-blind study of an alternative U.S. economy without the stimulus, so there's no smoking gun to prove the stimulus launched a recovery. But the ballistics certainly match. The economy shrank at a Depression-level rate in the fourth quarter of 2008, and job losses peaked in January 2009. After the stimulus bill passed in February, however, output had its second-biggest quarterly improvement in 25 years, and employment had its biggest quarterly improvement in 30 years. The recession officially ended that June. A Washington Post review of Recovery Act studies found six that showed a positive economic effect versus one useful study (by prominent Republican economist John B. Taylor) that concluded the stimulus failed -- and critics noted that Taylor's data just as easily support the conclusion that the stimulus was too small... http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2012/08/13/think_again_obamas_new_deal?page=0,0 Depends upon one’s view.
  19. I have no idea but whatever the reason it is not because he committed a felony. Why do you think he hasn't released them?
  20. Take a second look at Ryan.......... First, Ryan is not a deficit hawk, he voted in support of Bush’s spending spree. Second, Ryan was an Any Rand devotee; she was required reading for his staff and interns until the Catholic church took issue with his budget plan, calling it immoral and questioning Ryan following the philosophy of Ayn Ryan, an atheist, instead of Jesus. So now, she is no longer his favorite philosopher and his staff doesn’t have to read her books. How do you say flip flop? Third, if you agree with the GOP war on women, Ryan is the man for you. http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2012/08/15/paul-ryan-and-the-war-on-women/ Fourth, Ryan was delighted with Obama’s stimulus, well, at least the part he was able to get his hands on. http://bostonglobe.com/news/politics/2012/08/13/wisconsin/49GliKPpjP9Y1YkvNgXaMN/story.html
  21. This may well be the reason Romney will not release his tax returns. http://www.slate.com/blogs/moneybox/2012/07/17/romney_s_tax_returns_is_the_2009_swiss_bank_account_amnesty_what_he_doesn_t_want_us_to_see_.html
  22. I am surprised that he didn't get a scholastic scholarship, especially since he is lauded as a deep thinking intellect.
