Canada Needs an East-West Energy Grid
Bakunin replied to maplesyrup's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
i totally disagree with this idea. It just smell too much protectionism... If we build an east-west line, the next thing we will know is that provinces generating electricity will be forced to sell it for a price lower than the free market... Stephane dion, the environment and propagandist minister of the libranos, already said that he want that line to force the polluting province to close their polluting powerplant in exchange of electricity from the less poluting province. -

here is the french only result 81% of Quebeckers say they feel betrayed by Jean Chrétien and the PLC 60% of Quebeckers would have voted for sovereignty of Quebec One Quebecker out of two (57%) identifies more with Québec than Canada. , i just have to admit that these things are funny. For the past 2 years the ndp and the conservative told the quebecers they want to make gain in quebec... It make me think of the conservative convention in 2005 in montreal. , the conservative come to montreal for a convention, what we see is they all vote against quebec social values and Harper doesnt even come talk to the media about it Thats a little bit how it work, they say they want to make gain in quebec so they decide to do activity in quebec, but they forget to invite us and ask for our opinion Its quite similar with the NDP, those politician are so much not connected with quebec political world that when they get interviewed, it is by international interviewer... Often, the issue they talk about doesnt even exist here... like stephen harper speaking about the gay marriage or american missile defense when in quebec the debate is over... The ndp speak about environment, clean energy and kyoto, wake up ! here we ended this debate in the 60's its called hydro-electricity... They also talk about social program we already have from the provincial... The more i think about it, in quebec evry federal election is the continuation of the referendums. Sovreignist vote for the bloc, federalist for the liberal and the undecided don't vote. -
good post ! agree 100%

I agree on most of the thing, Getting rid of the liberal would help alot and having an english prime minister would be a good start.

Constitutional amendment
Bakunin replied to The Terrible Sweal's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
You mean the entity called Canada should be abolished, right? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yeah we could call it the independant state of america Seriously, what i hate about canada its not its name, its that its seems to be an entity that manage compromise from all the province. It should be based on cooperation and win-win situation... It should be a natural and friendly partnership. Right now evry province hate each others and their is no friendship between them... How am i supposed to be proud to be canadian when it mean making compromise all the time and fighting and no friendship... You will tell me equalization payment ? what is the point in receiving equalization payment if it is to lose our freedom, to be treated like if we where vampires that its only role is to drain canada's blood... -
This is the funny thing about canadian politics. Its all about a managing compromise from all the province. They just can't win quebec without losing something else in return. It should be based on cooperation and win-win situation... It should be a natural and friendly partnership.

The problem with those kind of program is the philosophy behind it. There are unlimited need but limited ressources to take care of it. Id prefer we decide to build specialized childcare center (cpe) and work with the market price over trying to lower the childcare cost for evryone.

Constitutional amendment
Bakunin replied to The Terrible Sweal's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
If one thing is not usefull in canada and should be removed or reorganized, its the federal government. Either its a decentralized federation or a centralized confederation. -
If its a copy of the quebec program, there is only 1 thing that i find interesting, its the CPE (centre de la petite enfance), wich is more professional, a little bit like a school where your children devellop his brain. It better than a place where you park your children. In other word, we could have a better quality child care. But if we look at the money the liberal will spend on that project, it wont work... Quebec province alone spend more money on its child care program right now than what martin want to spend for the whole country...

I see him like someone that liked to provoke, that don't know where to draw the line.Terribly arrogant just like the liberal... In WW2 he was wearing a SS helm... talk about someone with no judgement.

Federal Income Tax unconstitutional
Bakunin replied to onlythetruth's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
On paper we are a confederation, in reality we are a federation..... -
But the problem is the liberal will use that to manipulate ppl and stay in power.
-
I hope that this won't help the liberal to get vote in ontario :/ this would'nt be good. As we can see in the poll, the only hope is now in the hand of harper, he must clean the liberal mess and reform the federal structure. If the liberal get elected, its over and if harper fail its over.
-
I hope the ppl in ontario will wake up and choose an alterative to the liberal... I know there aren't many choice but if the liberal can win with such a big scandal then we should consider getting rid of democracy and elections... it would be a waste of time and money....

M. Gagliano confirme qu'il existe des liens entre le premier ministre actuel et l'ancien président de Groupe Everest, Claude Boulay, affirmant que M. boulay a aidé Paul Martin à se faire élire dans LaSalle-Émard en 1993.

A good proposal for the Tories to make
Bakunin replied to Argus's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Thats what i always taught. An independant organisation should deal with evrything that as to be transparent and independant like the budget and public contract. And the only way to know there is no corruption is to have a deputy from all the party to assist to any decision taken by the organism. The only thing political party should be able to do when thei are in power is to take political decision. -
But why do you act like if after 1760, new france dissapear and french became british and protestant and we never merged with a few unorganised english people that could have settled in the new france territory? You know that we never became british in our hearth, we never merged with anyone else, the only reason why it didnt end in a blood bath is the church. the only english people that we accepted in our community came after 1760 and settled in montreal.
-
eureka your vision just doesn't make sense... How can the "Nouvelle France" a French colony can be founded as "Billingual"... Maybe what you mean is that the territory stopped being the "Nouvelle france" territory to become the quebec territory when we lost the 1760 war and where forced to join the 13 colony of the new england. Maybe you mean that now we do not have the right to take it back and that it belong as much to the british than to french ? is that what you mean ?

I always felt that Trudeau was more of a federalist than a democrat and Lévesque was more of a democrat than a separatist. There is no doubt about that. And i would add that Trudeau loved controversy and confrontation while Lesveque loved rationality and democracy.
