Why are we using old dairy cows as a food source anyhow? There is too much chance of cross contamination with careless farmers or their children whom have feed for other animals. I grew up on a dairy farm and we NEVER ate our old dairy cows. They were taken away for fox feed. I don't go to the store to buy a steak or roast from a guernsy cow; I want hereford or black angus. Perhaps we need to label the breed of cow on our beef.

I think you would find citizens of many countries (including Canada) that would disagree, Allowing one nutcase to control that kind of military powers is very dangerous when they do not abide international law as Bush has and is doing. We license and register our dogs now in the cities. I find is exasperating that I pay the same fee for my little Shih Tzus as others pay for their pit bulls and rottweillers. The authorities should charge fees on the size and breeds of dogs. Dogs that can cause serious injuries or kill; should be banned in cities and fees should be much higher. They should be required to purchase insurance that would cover their financial liability. I think it is cruel to keep a large dog on a small city property. They need space to roam It is not guns or dogs that are responsibile for killings; it is the owners of such potential weapons that use them to intimidate or control others or simply abuse them or neglect to ensure they are properly stored and cannot fall into the wrong hands,

I think this may well be a case of neglect or unsocialized dogs. The story first claimed the child was probably sleeping but it was the Parents who were sleeping. The other children have been taken from the home and the dogs are being destroyed. two of the dogs were not the families own dogs. When you get 3 or more dogs together they often get a pack mentality. I do not trust rottweillers; my friend a senior with alzheimers but a great dog lover was bit in the face by a rottweiller while she patted the dog with the owner consent; the dog was a well loved family pet and leashed. The lady attacked insisted that the dog not be punished, There was no excuse for the attack; no sudden movement or anything and she was being escorted by her husband.

A poodle will and cannot kill. Besides if the grooming quit giving the dogs cuts and nicks and razor burn; they wouldn't be so "vicious" The pitbulls and rottweillers do not endure such abuse.

Actually, BC is pursuing trade with China and they are an extreme right wing government. With right wing it is completely "where the money is" However in this I agree as the USA is not playing by the rules in trade relation we need other trading partners. China is not invading or bullying anyone other than a little pressure on Taiwan which Canada and the USA do not recognize. Right wing American government officials are, also, pursuing the Chinese moolah.

Can we bring them back to life? Are we Canadians responsible for everyone; there is money and help coming from other countries. Half the time any aid we send to these third world countries is ripped off by the governments and really doesn't reach those most needed. We have offered. They are not a first response type of team. They will go in later when and if needed. !00 million forget it; we do not need to save them single handed. We need to ensure Canadians have homes and health care available first. Charity begins at home. You send them your next ten pay cheques if you like. When we can claim that all Canadians have homes shelt and adequate food; then we can share more with the world. We may be large in size but still very small population. We cannot save the world. We have been sending money out all over the world. Time to see that Canadians have adequate resources and services before we try to save the world.
