  1. Canadian Want our public health Care. Despite your insistence to the opposite. Why should we care what Europe or any other country has. Thius system can be fixed if the politicians quit playing games. Where did you get the idea that most Canadians are willing to accept privatized health care. Your views do not make a majority.
  2. That just shows how ill informed you are Argus. You arrogantly dismiss others who do not agree with your American Israel BIAS but ignore the truths that do not suit your agenda.
  3. We are not given a vote to reward governments for using OUR money wisely; we vote to determine which candidate or party will spend OUR money in a manner of which we approve. A vote is a right if one does not exercise that right; they have no right to complain about any government actions. We ddon't need to be rewarded for voting.
  4. That's not BC's fault; it is the particular politicians problem. Campbell was quick to criticize others and I am sure was responsible for the down fall of Gordon Wilson (personal reasons) and Glen Clarke (not guilty) both of whom were in less trouble than the Drunk driving charges against Campbell. The man showed no class when he did not offer his resignation when he had previously called for other to resign on much less evidence.
  5. I think the evidence speaks for itself. Definete conflict of interest with fish farms being heavy contributors to the Campbell party plus Campbell being a stock holder. He should have had no influence on any bills concerning fish farms.
  6. I believe Campbell okayed opening new fish farms near Alaska against the wishes of Alaska. I don't think there is any doubt that the fish farms can hurt the natural fisheries and the wild stock. Wild salmon are showing up now infested with sea lice thanks to fish farms. I would not eat farm fish; it is a vastly inferior procuct with soft flesh as the fish do not get the proper exercise that wild fish do. The dye used to make them look more like the natural product may cause health concerns.
  7. Not true at all. If the citizens make a big enough noise the ruling party listens or faces a problem come election time. Conservatives whine because Chretien made his decision on Iraq due to public pressure, We do need to get more voters involved and making their voice heard year round to have the government make the decisions we want. I say democracy must work every day not just election day. Whether that did influence Chretien's decsion or not; I don't know but it certainly should. The politicians are there to do our bidding not just whatever suits them.
  8. There wouldn't even have been an Israel without the UN. If you could show that the UN is making false claims; you might have some understanding. The resolutions against Israel are for genuine cause. Clean up their own act. We expect more from a country that is supposed to be a civilized democracy than we do the North Koreas where it is known that they are being run by egotistical dictatorships with no concern for the ordinary people. Without the USA's unfailing protection for its misdeeds; Israel would be facing serious sanctions for its actions.
  9. Fleabag; I was on that forum too. thought you were the same. It was a good forum; I liked the tightly moderated. We were much more responsible and willing to discuss. I would like to see another forum like that. I sure learned a lot; much of it I would probably prefer not to know. It was a good bunch of people even those with whom I didn't agree.
  10. No it was directed at Argus.who likes to use that anti Jews bs when one does not support tha fact that Israel is an aggressors and are illegally occupying Arab land. All thanks to approval from the USA, Rabin was making progress towards peace so he was killed by his own people. There are many hardliners in Israel that want nothing less than the complete destruction of Palestinians. Israel's long list of human rights abuses and UN resolutions against shows that they are aggressive; it does not mean that the UN is racist. I find this topic heading to be offensive and probably libelous.
  11. Well if what I have heard of the North Korean regime is even close to truth; I certainly would consider the leader of that country as being evil. Bush I consider arrogant and ignorant.
  12. I guess human rights watch is anti semetic too eh???
  13. fleabag Hmmmm who do we have talking here? an alien or an animal. Not we humans it was you humans. Got me interest.
  14. These breeds that are deemed dangerous with their capability of killing should be restricted at the least. Owners should be checked out for reasons for needing such an animal; proper containment of the animal and well insure for anything that could happen. These dogs are lethal weapons and need to be closely regulated in the same manner as an wild exotic pet that can attack humans. Even well trained and friendly dogs can become agggressive and dangerous when ill or injured or startled. I would not want to see family pets destroyed but the laws should be grandfathered in to allow responsible owners to keep their pets. I am more concerned with pets in the city than the countryside or on farms where they are perhaps needed to protect herds. I believe that these larger dogs need the space to move about more freely and that it is cruel to keep these larger dogs in a small contained area.
  15. You have the narrow mind. I have done my own research. I do not read Israel propaganda material. I prefer unbiased sources. Expand your horizons; seek truth. The Israeli government is not the innocents ; nor are the terrorists. The children and other civillians are; both Palestinian and Israeli.
  16. Did you not read 2/3 not armed. That would be quite the majority. In a war ravaged country like this especially. From the way Americans like to arm themselves that might be hard to find in a crowd in the USA. I am sure that many people arm themselves for self protection so that does not mean that those armed were combatants; and it certainly does not make them the aggressors. You ignore the 20 children. You may accept these children as acceptable collateral damage; I and much of the world do not. How is Israel so much under seige in your mind. It was Israel that seized Arab lands and still occupy these lands.
  17. I don't think WE Canadians are too blind or trusting. We got George Bush's number and certainly do NOT miss his shortcoming or aggressive nature and we certainly do NOT trust him or his policies.
  18. I suppose you believe that Amnesty Internation is biased, too??
  19. If Israel would quit violating human rights; the UN wouldn't have to condemn Israel. If Israel would stop violating International law and ignoring UN resolutions likewise; Israel would not be condemned. To say that this indicates bias on the part of the UN is ridiculous. That is similar to these people who are constantly in trouble with the law that claim it is because the cops like to pick on him. It is a very poor excuse and not very believeable.
  20. They are not saying that the cow tested entered the food chain; only that there is a slight possibility of other cows on the farm that had already been sold and slaughter in the last few years might have had BSE... It is not a retraction that I have seen.
  21. We'll take the high road; you have taken the low road.
  22. As I have been told many times when citing well known facts (which this certainly isn't) Prove it.
