  1. Can you spell it out for us,plain and simple? What is Chief Spence's solution that will solve all the problems?
  2. I think if you compared the amount of favourable and unfavourable coverage of this affair it would be heavily tilted in giving Chief Spence favourable coverage.Fair and honest reporting is in short supply these days. For weeks now in the rather left leaning Ottawa Citizen,it has been mostly sympathetic towards Spence. Finally, today I see an article detailing the horrible accounting done by band members.Virtually no details on how millions of dollars have been spent!Theresa Spence is in no way, shape or form,a victim here. I suspect that the Ottawa Citizen will be back to form tomorrow and the audit details will either be buried or not mentioned again.
  3. People avoiding taxes is only part of the problem.Governments all over the world, including here in Canada, continually spend way more money than they bring in.This is unsustainable. Quebec does have the highest taxes in Canada, and they also have some very generous perks for their citizens, like cheap daycare and rock bottom tuition.Given the fact that Quebec heavily depends on equalization payments, they should not have these programs.
  4. Oh by all means, please enlighten me.I guess I was mistaken that Greece keeps getting massive bailouts to keep afloat.I must be wrong in my belief that many Greeks get to retire earlier than most other Europeans and that there are a lot of Greek citizens that pay no tax at all. So who is to blame for the economic troubles in Greece? Are they completely blameless? There is no excuse for Quebec to have been a have not province for so long and the equalization formula should be reworked but I won't hold my breath.
  5. I invite you to start a new topic and perhaps you can enlighten us as to the wonderful benefits of Socialism. You're clearly not capable of articulating anything without throwing insults around.Temper temper
  6. Now there is a blockade of the Montreal-Ottawa-Toronto passenger service corridor.Law enforcement should do their jobs and immediately remove these Mohawk(warriors!?) and toss them in jail. What is more likely to happen is that they will be allowed to keep up the blockade thanks to the politicians being scared out of their wits by these thugs.Remember,Caledonia is still ongoing, the rule and enforcement of law was totally abandoned as it applies to the Aboriginals.
  7. I guess I struck a nerve didn't I?
  8. This is a photo that depicts Socialism in it's purest form.
  9. I have to hand it to Spence, she seems to be easily winning the public relations battle.Unfortunately, nothing positive is likely to come out of this whole affair.Even more money, with little or no oversight will be poured into select Aboriginal hands to people like Theresa Spence.I think she is being totally unreasonable and is trying to cover up her own incompetence in managing the money handed over to her and the council members on a silver platter. She looks remarkably well for someone that has allegedly had nothing to eat for three weeks.I hope she is at least actually staying in the tent and not in some posh hotel when the cameras stop rolling(remember the empty tents at night during the occupy movement). I see this movement being pushed by corrupt chiefs who are more interested in staying on the gravy train while too many Aboriginals are the one's who pay the price.
  10. So by your own logic,it's good that people retire earlier so it gives others a chance to work?So is poor Greece the victim here?Greece is to Europe as Quebec is to Canada, they can't stand on their own two feet economically.
  11. I don't think Theresa Spence is struggling financially at all.I did hear that she had a fancy Cadillac Escallade flown up there, likely on our dime.Could you tell us where all the money comes from that flows into this reserve?
  12. Israel has the military capability to crush the Palestinians yet they to not. They always fight with one hand tied behind their backs. Does anyone for one second believe that if the Palestinians had the means to crush the Israelis that they wouldn't do it?
  13. http://www.ottawasun.com/2012/11/23/speaking-in-liberal-mother-tongue-media-party-gives-justin-trudeau-a-pass-on-anti-alberta-remarks Ezra Levant hits the nail on the head as always.
  14. Just for the record, what are the "twisted values"of Harper's church. I recently read that it's a myth that Harper is a bible thumper in any way, shape or form. And if indeed he was a bible thumper, why is it that we still have abortion on demand and gay marriage and all the other vitally important stuff to the left?
  15. I should point out to you that Quebec is a very resource rich province. They even have rather large reserves of oi which they refuse to tap into. But then again, why would they will always get huge handouts from Alberta. Once powerful Ontario, now under the Liberals,is a have not province with a massive debt and we will likely continue to go down the toilet if we stay on this path.
  16. In recent history,Quebec has been led by two parties, the PQ and the Liberals.Quebec's finances are a mess especially when you consider how dependant they are on money from Conservative Alberta. And Quebec is arguably the most left leaning province in Canada.Coincidence?
  17. I see one side(the Palestinians)that deliberately target civilians and the other side(Israelis)that make every effort to avoid civilian casualties. Is it not typical for Hamas to launch rockets from densely populated civilian areas?Hamas invites civilian casualties within it's territories by these tactics. What exactly did Israel gain by withdrawing from Gaza?Any concessions made by the Israelis are always met by more violence from Hamas.
  18. And how would you compare Alberta's financial management to the home province of Justin Trudeau, perennial basket case Quebec?
  19. I believe Justin Trudeau was a high school drama teacher before he became an MP.If you take the last name out of the equation, what exactly has he done so far that makes you believe he deserves to be our Prime MInister?Listening to him,I think he hasn't anywhere near the intellect of his vastly over rated father.
  20. Unemployment is not down if you consider it was 7.8% when Obama took office, now it's 7.9%.I don't think there will be much improvement in the next 4 years either. The US debt has skyrocketed unber Obama and it will continue to do so,Harry Reid apparently wants to raise the debt ceiling to over 19 trillion from the current 16 trillion.Madness.
  21. So do you believe there are any 14 year old boys around today that don't know that you can kill someone with a gun? I wouldn't worry too much about poor little Omar if I were you. There is,unfortunately,a fair chance that Socialist leader Thomas Mulcair might be our next Prime Minister. He would without a second thought reward dear Omar with millions of dollars.
  22. Since you're glad he's "home" now,can you tell us what positive contribution you expect him to make to this country? How about his thoroughly detestable family? The fact that this bastard is back in Canada makes my blood boil, knowing how much he will be embraced by Canada's lefties.
  23. I don't think I can come up with a satisfactory answer to that to be honest.Today people have more information than ever before right at their fingertips but they just don't seem to have any concern for the big issues, like Ontario's massive debt. The public servants are crying about losing their collective bargaining rights but at the end of the day, they are paid very well and have perks most of us can't even dream of in the private sector.Too many governments,of all stripes are just spending way too much to be sustainable, and yet a large segment of the population seems totally unconcerned.I think Hudak is ok but that's not enough apparently.Andrea Horwath supports much of the same idiotic policies that the Liberals to,like overspending, windmills and solar. She is a union lapdog as well. I think it's time for Hudak to go.
  24. I think you hit that one out of the park.
  25. So do you believe Ontario is in better shape now compared to the pre-McGuinty days? Can you give me some specific examples of how we are better off now?
