Our Census Form vs Their Ballot
August1991 replied to August1991's topic in Canada / United States Relations
CdnFox, I am not asking anyone to show who they vote. ==== Democrats - since 2020 have discovered Kryptonite. Mali-in voting. -
Borders? Define such a name as y kraine. ==== I am Canadian. Pierre Trudeau taught me about the dangers of nationalism. In the 1930s, we confronted ideology. But the origin was in the 1910s.

IME, Canadians love when Americans speak about them. As if Americans care. Americans think about Canada in the same way that English-Canadians think about Quebec

1. This place on the river in front of the Governor General's place cannot be changed. It is a short drive to the parliament. 2. Demolish the building. It has no historical significance. In the snow, I have walked around Trudeau's infamous swimming pool. 3. I have never been to the house of the Australian PM. Years ago, I walked by 10 Downing Street. 4. I have stood in front of Argentina's Pink House. ===== I reckon that we need a place (without asbestos, but with a cat) near our head of state.

Let me add this about Truman. Key West. It is a wonderful place, Eisenhower had Camp David.. Nixon had San Clemente Trudeau had Lac Harrington.
-
In Potsdam, Truman told Stalin what was to happen. I have been to Potsdam, walked around the room where they met. ===== Heck, I have been to Yalta - walked around the courtyard where Churchill, Stailn, Roosevelt sat. Truman, a poker player, approved the dropping of two bombs.

For America, what is a win? Thiinking back in history, was your involvement in Versailles 1919 a win? ==== To me, Europeans between 1914-1845 once again fought - and Russians defended themselves. You Americians -like Sweded - show up, or not.
-
I have walked around Beaumont-Hamel. Newfoundlanders. But this was 100 years ago, or so. (Trenches still exist.) Heck, curious, I walked around various battle sites of the Seven-Years War, Napoleonic Wars. ==== Tactical nuclear war is different.

No chance? America dropped two bombs on Japan.

Vice President for Trump
August1991 replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Winner? Vance. Bergum. True, winners. But they bring nothing.non-RINO Scott is a winner who brings something. ===== Trump is the non-RINO Democrat. He is the Nixon who seeks votes in the south. -
Our Census Form vs Their Ballot

As I say, we live in an Instagram world. Let's count who shows thumbs vs vote tallies. -
IMHO, this current war in Europe reminds me of the 1912 Balkan wars. Americans - the elite - seem to think that it is 1938. Fighting Hitler., ==== Trudeau Snr, Kissinger, Nixon lived through war. Create counterweights. Even Kennedy knew that.

I generally dislike tattoos. Scar your skin? But people wear a wedding ring - then remove it. Why do people remove tattoos?

Our Census Form vs Their Ballot

In Canada, we vote in secret. In my next election, when I vote, I plan to dip my thumb in purple ink - and hold this finger high. -

"... first Canadians... " More tolerant? We in Canada get along. We have never had a civil war. -
Are Nfld and Quebec Sustainable?
August1991 replied to August1991's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
There are many such jokes. I always like the Soviet joke about the cow: It eats in Warsaw/Novsibrisk but is milked in Moscow. -
Perspectiv, Taller? Trees can't move. They can't move.

Georgia: America's Quebec
August1991 replied to August1991's topic in State Politics in the United States
England is not New England. And Quebec is not New France. I was recently n Atlanta. And what struck me is that it was their place. -
