They should have been given a great big chunk of Germany. Exactly, and as you know every would-be aggressor will follow the example being set. This also seems like a very slippery principle and even more so under a crumbling world order. I'm thinking about this like I do about other issues that politicians can't seem to deal with, leaning on courts, jurisprudence precedence and the rule of law to get things on a more appropriate track. It's like using science to build the body of knowledge we rely on for so much. Once upon a time imperialists and colonizers and their patrons looked to Canada to describe how to go about it. If it chose to the world could also look to Canada on how to reconcile with the past instead of just leaving it hanging out there to fester. Reconciliation...Reset...call it what you want, it'll have to be a global effort. Good thing Earth didn't borrow all that cheddar off the Lizard Empire from Betelgeuse or we might actually be in a pickle we couldn't get ourselves out of.

Canada's over-reaction kept our death and disease rates to half of those experienced in the US. Your reaction is the go-to example of what we need to prevent in the case of future pandemic. Hopefully they'll have developed a vaccine that can be dispersed along with chemtrails by then so it won't matter how nuts you are.

Well, given the miniscule number of 97 year olds there are compared to everyone else I'd probably have disagreed with the need to marshal all the world's governments, media and corporations into a world wide conspiracy to save them at all costs too. It would be insane to put nearby 8 billion of us through what happened for some 700000 really old farts around the world. It must have been them who orchestrated everything.

Is this a new geopolitical principle that's been established by the UN or the authors of history books? Is there a statute of limitations on this business? At what point does it switch from being a crime to tough titties? Some people seem to think it was tough titties for Ukraine from day one hence my question about a statute of limitations of some sort. Pleading there's nothing that can or should be done about the past makes it awfully easy to do anything you want in the present...because it'll be the past in no time at all.

Good.

I have many times, I want politicians to be subject to a level of surveillance that would make George Orwell himself blush.

Sure, All In The Family was actually a nature series and Archie was like David Attenborough.

That's certainly what a lot of juiced up partisans seem to say. I'm more interested in stoking greater polarization between the governed and their governments because I'm more biased towards the interests of the former. Whose side are you on?

Hard evidence rarely plays well with any politician. You should know that by now too.

Hatred? Not at all, chuds can be a great source of comic relief on occasion. 8 Archie Bunker On Vegetarianism Archie wants no part of it. “It ain't natural. Man was put on this earth to eat meat.” When Mike challenges it, Archie explains, “The Bible says so… all of them old Bible people. They was always eatin' meat, as soon as they found out eatin' apples was wrong...

No people clearly care but they're losing hope because they're exhausted. Trudeau is just one more ineffective leader in a long line of ineffective leaders that stretch back for decades and decades. If people think affordability is the problem wait until it becomes obvious sustainability is the real issue, starting with environmental. Climate change is increasingly becoming the most consistent underlying aspect of why. Increasing economic disparity, misinformation, conflict and breakdown of world order will surely tip the balance away from sustainability even further. It's no wonder people feel so overwhelmed.

Nope. I have no use whatsoever for government/political machinations no matter who does it. Nor do I have much sympathy for people who imagine any without hard evidence - a very high-ranked whistle-blower like Jody Wilson-Raybould for example. I think closed-door in-camera lobbying should be illegal.
