  1. Well sure, under the guise of an emergency but in the case of another real one - some individual rights, as they are at anytime will remain conditional and especially where the needs of the many outweight the needs of the individual. In the case of COVID, frightened uninformed people claimed their rights were being violated to help further the selfish conspiratorial interests of a vast network of experts, scientists, corporations and governments around the planet. The lesson for the future is clear - to help dispel the misinformation and paranoid thinking that made the COVID pandemic far worse than it needed to be, we need a level of penetrative monitoring and transparency for our public institutions that would make Orwell himself blush. Notwithstanding obvious matters of national security, I think knowing what our public institutions are up to is a universal human right - and an especially important one during an emergency. I know from personal experience how important it is to keep people apprised of measures being taken during an evolving situation where their safety and well being is concerned. The last thing I need to deal with in the case of a fire, or taking on water, or responding to another vessel in distress, are a bunch of frightened bewildered passengers. It's not just a courtesy I'm extending them it's a necessity - for everyone involved. As a ships captain, it's very much my responsibility and in my self interest to keep everyone informed. There's clearly a lesson here for both governments and the governed about what their responsibilities are before an emergency happens. It's why passengers are instructed to follow the instructions of the captain and crew before they even board the boat.
  2. Interestingly enough the test also involved getting me to move a block without touching it. I must have misunderstood the question because I picked up the pencil to push it. 'No, move it with your mind' the tester said. 'What?' I exclaimed...'that's nuts'. I flunked on psi capabilities but nailed critical thinking.
  3. That would be silly, like a Jew calling themself an anti-Semite.
  4. No, I'm actually quite intelligent. My mom had me tested.
  5. It can't be helped, I'm a lefty, and an atheist to boot. Now if that was a race....
  6. I don't know and don't really care - at least they'll know that choices come with consequences. In the meantime, you can be sure that scientists are taking what few side-effects do exist seriously so they can develop better vaccines and boosters - like they always do.
  7. Meanwhile a lot of people have tried to trick everyone into believing it's all about carbon taxes. Figures lie and liars figure.
  8. I escaped from Toronto when I was 15 and made it as far west as the 200 fathom edge. I love it out there.
  9. How far east have you travelled - did you kick and scream every inch of the way? We must travel in the direction of our fear John Berryman
  10. When violence between Semites flares in the ME, yes that's exactly my argument. Otherwise we'd see the same number of demonstrations and threats during times of relative peace as we do now. This is not like blacks calling other blacks niggers. Hard boiled rightwing Jews loath left wing secular Jews and the lefties mock the righties for being so ridiculous. That's the example everyone here should follow as well.
  11. There are Jews who accuse Jews of being anti-Semitic. The epithet has become so used, overused and abused that it's become pointlessly absurd.
  12. We need something more preventative. The term guardrails come to mind - something tangibly physical in nature.
  13. I also said you should present your argument to national science academies and other serious scientific institutions. They'll certainly know what to do with it if it can be validated.
  14. Have you submitted your conclusions and why they matter to the IPCC? I mean it's entirely possible this forum really does have the brightest critically thinking people on the planet but how would anyone know if you keep it all to yourselves?
  15. You guys do it with q-anon shamen, Tucker, Marjorie Green and similarly assorted dingtwats.
  16. What about Hunter Biden's laptop, doesn't that count for anything?
  17. This would be so much easier if you people would be honest about things and declare you simply don't care one way or the other.
  18. But no scientists who will be able to understand the importance of your breakthrough. It would be irresponsible of you to withhold conclusions that could potentially save trillions of dollars and put our planet on an entirely new path.
  19. Why on Earth are you in here wasting your time trying to get thru to us troglodytes? Have you presented your conclusions and how you arrived at them to the IPCC or any number of highly reputable scientific academies and institutions around the world? If you're right you'll be in line for a Nobel Prize, millions in research funding, high schools will be named in your honor and of course, you'll risk being buried under a pile of panties that would make Beelzebub Himself blush.
  20. What do the courts say needs doing? Things must be out of their hands too.
  21. The US, see the New Deal. It even taxed itself to make countries it destroyed prosperous, see the Marshall Plan
  22. LMAO! Do I think it's possible to only be a little bit pregnant? This btw is probably the result of religion crippling your ability to reason. You'll believe anything.
