  1. This is why I say courts are often better than governments at making progress. Senior Swiss women prevail in landmark climate case at Europe's human rights court The European court's decision on the case, brought by more than 2,000 women, could have a ripple effect across Europe and beyond, setting a precedent for how some courts deal with the rising tide of climate litigation argued on the basis of human rights infringements. https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/european-human-rights-court-climate-1.7167866 I get it that legislators are who make laws but sometimes they need a push to get on with their jobs. Yes, that push should come from voters but sometimes they need encouraging too.
  2. I just told you. It's proven to the point of factual that evidence it's something else is now required to refute it. It leaves the very same sense of conviction you have for your Bible except it's a conviction based on reality and a very well schooled understanding of the physical world using finely tuned instruments that enable science to measure, observe and report with great precision things going on in the natural physical world. You have anything like that? Claiming human-caused climate change isn't real is now a positive claim - as such it's upon people claiming it to prove it. Decisions are being made, policies initiated and resources committed to the reality. Empirical evidence this all unnecessary would make you just about the greatest hero of the early 21st century.
  3. Prove it. Millions of peer reviewed scientists say otherwise. I guess when it comes to judging the capacity of our peers, non-scientists in our case, one of the things we check is the past veracity of the peer in question. You have demonstrated, empirically on the question of empiricism especially, to have a capacity for accepting a quality of evidence that is so far below speculation that it verges on pure fantasy. Unfortunately for the human race and the planet, there are far to many people like you in positions of power and influence trumping evidence and science with your fantasies. They've led us down an evolutionary cul-de-sac. Good job. You must be so proud.
  4. Do you think conservatives have moved more to the right and need to keep moving that way in the future?
  5. You seem to think empirical means something other than direct observation. Perhaps you have it mixed up with empire.
  6. The underlying scientific proof is in the steady measurable increase in CO2 levels that matches the enormous amount of fossil fuels burned since the start of the industrial age. Despite all attempts to find other causes this is why the scientific consensus is so vast and enduring and unequivocal. This is not speculation it is a fact.
  7. You should realize by now that rephrasing things, completely backwards in this case, will only cause me to suggest you go pee up a rope until such time as you choose to think straight.
  8. It's always like this with you people - the right wing is a direction not a place.
  9. It doesn't have to be fear. Catalysing things through reasonable concern is more preferable. The farther into the future the day comes we go through this again the better for sure. We'll likely be screwed if that day comes any sooner than a generation though.
  10. There only thing getting worse here is the weird deluded way you think about things.
  11. Nothing has been doled out or spent and won't be until after the budget has been tabled, discussed, voted on and passed by Parliament. Following the process IOW. You must believe Canada has been an authoritarian Marxist dictatorship since Confederation because we've always used the same process.
  12. You must have been looking at someone else's statement because that's not what I said. It's not that you're a loser so much as simply lost.
  13. Ever the observant one aren't you? Lol! Keep observing...you never know when something might sink in. We still use the term influenza despite its silly roots.
  14. The COVID-19 pandemic has taken the world by storm, but it is not unique. Past pandemics have likewise been accompanied by conspiracy theories and waves of mistrust in science. In this Curiosities of Medical History feature, we look at some of the wildest theories to emerge during the flu pandemic of 1918. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/the-flu-pandemic-of-1918-and-early-conspiracy-theories It took all of 5 minutes to find these.
  15. In March 2020 alone, the English-language Wikipedia page for “Spanish flu” garnered more than 8.2 million views, shattering the pre-2020 monthly record of 144,000 views during the pandemic’s 2018 centennial. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/the-1918-flu-faded-in-our-collective-memory-we-might-forget-the-coronavirus-too/#:~:text=In March 2020 alone%2C the English-language Wikipedia page for “Spanish flu” garnered more than 8.2 million views%2C shattering the pre-2020 monthly record of 144%2C000 views during the pandemic’s 2018 centennial.
  16. I've always known I'm not a conservative and if the above definition is to be taken seriously I'm just as certain I'm not a liberal. Ones as batshit crazy as the other.
  17. I don't need to defend the simple fact that yes people indeed did look at past pandemics, i.e. Spanish Flu when COVID hit. Or defend against your blather that it's literally not true - nobody looked or this gem... You go from tonnes of people did (not true) to not a single person in the whole world other than you did (also not true) You're right, I never said these things at all. Thanks for confirming that. and you come up with this crazy conclusion that somehow in the spanish flue period everyone went crazy so we all knew that people would go crazy now, which is false. And yet here you are proving you're battier than Marjorie Taylor Green, the Q-anan Shaman dude and probably even WasteCanMan. LOL!
  18. What would be the point? If I told you shit stinks and rubbed your stupid nose in it you'd tell me a rose never smelled sweeter. I mean you've already moved the goalposts twice without having been shown a thing. And BTW, you're clearly not everyone - three goalposts. You're on a roll.
  19. Just waiting for a text to tell me jab number 6 or 7 is ready. I just can't get enough. 43....poor guy.....bwahahaha!
