  1. Obviously something smelled fishy with Trump's links with Russia. But if there was corruption, you can bet the Democrats would have exposed it and tried to pursue it. Never believe anything without evidence. There has never been such an overwhelming effort by the MSM to discredit and takee down a POTUS, not even close, it's insane. Much of the media is straight out to f**k Trump and he knows it. You look at Trump vs Clinton vs Biden, which one is controlled by the corporate class and which one doesn't a give a rat about anything but their own interests? Trump is a threat to the corporate class because he's not nearly as controllable, so the MSM has been given the ok to destroy him. Trump is also giving them a lot of material to work with lol. Corporate advertisers have a lot of sway in the MSM because advertisers pay their bills. Stopping illegal immigration isn't in corporate America's interests, nor is messing with trade with China etc, nor is being the least warmongering POTUS since before WWII. Corporate America are globalists, and profit doesn't give a rat about America.
  2. I've been huffing the CO2 inside my mask for 4 days straight in hopes that I pass out. So far, passed out 47 times.
  3. Trump is a great representation of all the morons who won't wear masks etc. Adapt or die. Darwinism at work.
  4. The first industrial revolution caused people to turn to communism and fascism. That was fun. I assume people will go crazy again.
  5. Yes there's a lot of really stupid righties and lefties. I assume this is because there's a lot of stupid people in general.
  6. I don't hate lefties, sometimes a lot of them think with their hearts instead of their brains is all. I don't have a problem with the CERB, but you need to have limits and qualifiers to it when you're handing out hundreds of billions of dollars. You can't have people starve but you can't let people sit on their ass getting paid when they don't have to. I work right now full-time and I don't resent people who can't work if there's no jobs. I do resent people sitting on their ass when some of them should be looking for work though. Justin Trudeau has been a pampered spoiled prince his entire life who has had everything handed to him on a silver platter, I don't expect him to understand this concept.
  7. Canada is running up 600+ billion in deficit spending and our MP's want the summer off. Utter horse manure.
  8. If the rest of the world jumped off a cliff, would you do it too? Our economic growth is going to be toast for a while because lefties killed our oil industry. Lefties also support giving free money to everyone. So we're burning the candle at both ends. In my city there's a big lack workers applying for low wage jobs because they can make as much or more on the CERB. If you're not actively sending out resumes you should be cut off, as is the requirement under EI.
  9. Morneau has family that are paid employees of WE charity. LOL it keeps getting better. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/we-charity-contract-morneau-1.5644839
  10. They did that in the OP.
  11. Well the government he leads did go from majority to minority last election. But now he has higher approval ratings because people like getting tons of free money while not having to look for a job.
  12. Single income households have plummeted in the last 40 years I assume. In 1980 lots of families with married parents still had a single breadwinner. For this topic we should be looking at individual income growth not household income growth, since the latter includes different variables besides individual wage, such as I said the number of income earners in the house.
  13. That graph isn't individual wage or income growth, it's household income growth, which includes the increasing % of dual-income households. It also doesn't look at the rising cost of living such as in housing.
  14. Anyone who takes a payment from a charity just to speak at an event is a true piece of turd.
  15. White young people who feel guilty about being white because of the bad things white people have done. I know young woke university folks like that, I also know woke non-white university folks. The whites ones are their allies.
  16. What i mean is, Michael and other centrists aren't going around accusing everyone of being a racist white supremacist or telling immigrants to go back to their "sh!thole countries" etc., which is the type of rhetoric that gets headlines and reactions on twitter. Centrists with reasonable but not inflammatory arguments don't get the eyeballs these days in the current media landscape. It was a compliment towards you. Some people just don't believe in free speech unless they agree with that speech. The whole point of free speech is to put up with opinions you don't agree with. Preventing people from speaking their minds is a political act, it's about power and controlling the message. As I said, many of these woke types are mini tyrants in sheep's clothing. We're in a culture war, but always have been, it's just changing and in certain areas more conflict is arising. Demographics have and are changing dramatically as has technology, which is resulting in the current environment. IMO this is the new normal unless demographics and/or technology changes significantly again. When I say demographics, I largely mean a shrinking white population and a growing non-white non-western population. Conflict is inevitable, especially when whites (and straight cis white men especially) have dominated the pulleys of power for centuries in the west. The growing non-white population logically is fighting for their space and representation and wants to dismantle the white male historic power structure, sometimes in constructive and egalitarian ways I support, and other times in ways that shift the balance of power too far to their side which isn't equality but turns into another form of inequality. This is why the rise in white nationalism, and the opposite on the left. Since demographic trends aren't changing any time soon I expect this will continue for decades to come. I think it will be like a pendulum that keeps swinging, when real equality means the pendulum should stop in the middle, which is the centrist position. People on the far left and far right are at war with each other, culturally, & fighting for their own interests while often not empathizing with each other.
  17. I think there's still a lot of reasonable people, whether centre-left or centre-right, but they're drowned out by the more radical opinions on the left and right. Uncontroversial centrist opinions about liberalism by Michael Hardner don't attract outrage and therefore don't attract as many eyeballs via news headlines and trending tweets etc. The centre is now the silent majority IMO. Most people I know also aren't super political and when they do share views they have pretty reasonable opinions on things, they aren't reading up on the latest woke social theory every day, but they are bullied by the vocal minority to remain ideologically compliant. The woke crowd IMO have intelligently used most people's fears of being accused of being a racist, homophobe, or sexist etc and weaponized it to further their ideological agenda by using it as a bullying tactic to as I said ensure compliance. If people are too afraid to stand up to ie: a black female lesbian that's calling someone a racist/sexist/homophobe then the current situation is the result. I think bullies like this have also always been around (to a lesser degree) but didn't have social media to broadcast their opinions.
  18. There's nothing wrong with criticism, but there's repercussions socially when people lose their jobs, especially over allegations that haven't even been proven yet in court or by internal investigation. Why not build a society filled with people that are more resilient to words/opinions that offend, rather than creating a society where everyone insists they should never be offended. Words are only soundwaves in the air, they do not themselves cause harm, it's only how the mind interprets and cognitively deals with words that they become harmful to somebody. Obviously that's easier said than done, but there needs to be a reasonable line, like harassment vs just ignorant opinions.
  19. The problem is people and businesses and governments generally very much fear being accused of being racist, homophobic, sexist etc. It's terrible PR, so they do everything to avoid looking like it, including firing employees and cancelling whatever. With social media all you need is a small minority of loud mouths to put someone in the hot seat.
  20. What they do love is free money apparently. Canadians love to suck from the Queen's nipple.
  21. I never said that word or anything like it, you put it in my mouth in 2 different posts. I said universities are infected with a disease, which is left-wing hysteria. People should be free to discuss any ideas they want. That's not the culture we live in today though. We live in a woke-McCarthyist witchhunt world.
  22. Left-wing hysteria, much of it is about banning ideas and people that don't align with the approved paradigm, it's the opposite of free-speech. That's a disease
  23. If harmful thinking is the disease then you fight back against harmful thinking. Or we can just let it take over everything as you seem cool with. Universities are about discovering knowledge. Facts aren't racist.
  24. Why? It's like a disease and it keeps spreading.
