PM Harper was involved in politics since he was in high school plus he was the head of the NCC. He spearheaded the move to merge to two conservative parties as well. Of course and there is child abuse anywhere where children are. Sports, scouts and guides, schools. The priesthood isn't the only group that have had problems with sexual predators.
