I think adults can make up their own minds as to what is degrading and what isn't. If the women in question likes to be treated in this fashion then who are we to judge them? It seems degrading to me but perhaps it isn't to them so if they aren't hurting anyone we should mind our own business and let them live as they see fit.

We as country are not bound to take in and keep all the worlds garbage. The well being of terrorists shouldn't be our business. As for your second part you're correct the proposed new law only deals with dual citizens. I don't understand why you're so concerned about this. The only people who should be worried about this are people who are dual citizens and planning on committing terrorist acts.

There could've been a discrepancy in the interpretation of the guidelines of what's permitted and what's not. If we've learned anything about the government is that the things they publish are hardly in English that normal people can understand. We all should be patient, not jump to conclusions and only make a decision once all the information is made public which is not happening right now.

A lot of that is true. Their is no reason for anyone to be poor in today's world. All one must do is graduate high school then go to college or university or alternatively get an apprenticeship or get a job with one of the public union sectors. People who are poor in today's world are so by choice, they would have to be with so many choices in today's world.

So you follow up your first insult by repeating it a second time? Saying that all people who believe in God are stupid and now insane isn't very helpful at all. Barrack Obama believes in God. Is he also stupid and possibly insane? How about Gandhi? Albert Einstein? I could go on and on here. Just because you don't agree with someone's pov that shouldn't mean that you're now able to call them names. How does this help any discussion at all?

Abortion is a sticky issue. At the core of it abortion is murder, there is no way of getting around that. if the abortion didn't take place the fetus would grow and be born to be a human being. Having an abortion ends that human life. That is undeniable fact. Simple. However I do understand that women cannot be forced to have another human growing inside them against their will. Also a good point but shouldn't these people who don't want babies be taking steps in order to ensure that doesn't happen? Question really should be if we should put term limits on abortions or if we should allow late term and live abortions to continue to be legal in Canada. That's what we should be asking. At the end of the day I don't think any politician of any stripe wants to touch this issue with a ten foot pole and thus nothing will ever change.

I'm certainly not defending his actions, that's for sure. It really doesn't look too good for Senator Duffy and I have a feeling he'll wind up paying it back. I think his primary residence is in Ontario and not in PEI as he is claiming but I'm not on the inside track so who knows really.

I am quite upset with PM Harper on the Senate issue. He promised he would have respect for the taxpayer and put them ahead of the Senator he is reversing this. At first he didn't appoint any Senators at all until the coalition thing came about that was when he started stacking the Senate. I truly hope we have an elected, accountable Senate some day.

I don't see how giving students more information and allowing them to make up their own minds can be a bad thing. How is reading more bad for you?

This isn't about born Canadians it's about people who come to Canada and have dual citizenship's. Well if it's so few people I don't see what some people are so worried about to be honest. People are are dual Canadian citizens who are involved with terrorist acts don't deserve to be Canadians. End of story. It's not a right it's a privilege. I don't see how public safety is a dumb idea, please explain.

If we're going to reduce pollution it has to be every nation, not just the most prosperous. We all live on the same planet, so until we get every nation to agree Canada shouldn't be involved in any of these half baked measures IMHO.

I'm not sure if I'd call it a scandal. it's hardly a scandal. How much money are we talking about? A few thousand? If he is found to be misinterpreting the rules he should be made to pay the money back for sure.

Across all levels taxes are high enough, even too high. It will not be a good feeling to work, only to have the governments of various levels taking 50% of my paycheque.

Taxes cannot be raised forever. Things people need to live are getting more and more expensive and the government wants to put thei hands into our pockets seemingly forever. When is it ever enough? Will they not be happy until we are like Denmark where 50% of everyones income is taken as tax?

I applaud this measure being pursued by our government. it's about time terrorists who are dual Citizens have no where to hode. It's about time Cnaada catches up to the rest of the world. If people are planning on being terrorists they have nothing to worry about, so I don't see what all the fuss is about. Not supporting this measure could be seen as sympathizing with terrorists but some people in the public. We need to do all we can to protect our citizens who are law abiding and punishing those who would like to continue promoting terror while hiding behind their Canadian citizenship. Disgusting.

Per year yes, it's disgusting that mayor Miller was always beating up on the honest home owner in Toronto. Plus all the extra fees he decided to invent. Taxes need not go up every year. Private citizens are required to live with their means governments should be the same. Live with what they get without raising taxes. Reduce wasteful spending and ensure t hat money spent is spent wisely.

If he is convicted we can be r id of him. It's a shame that this has happened but I don't see how this can be blamed on PM Harper. The PM is not responsible for the actions of private citizens.

How many times did Mayor Miller raise taxes and by how much? Plus the various extra fees he implemented to fund his fast spending ventures. It's easy to have lots of revenue when one is continually raises taxes and adding new fees for the public t o pay. Mayor Ford is attacked everyday by the left wing, it's disgusting the dirt they continually try to fling at him hoping something sticks and blame him when he beats the rap in court...lol. I guess they don't repsect judges of law either then in addition to the mayors office. Trueth be told the left is just upset that they lost the mayors office in the heartland of the left wing, they are embarrassed by it.

I'm new here but are you always this inflammatory? I don't think there is any need to say people who believe in God, be it a Christian, Muslim, Jew, Hindu, Buddhist or what have you, is a "completely stupid person". I'm sure there are plenty of highly intelligent people who are religious and/or spiritual.

Anytime racism or anti any sort of minority group is mentioned the deck is automatically stacked against the other person. it wouldn't surprise me to learn that this woman wins her case and the teacher is fired. Not surprising in the least.

I would like to have my Canadian money at par in a tropical location, that would be most agreeable. I wouldn't want Canada to invade the country but if Turks signed an agreement where they would still have a local government but with all the benefits of a Canadian including citizenship. All those tourism dollars would be great.

Yes so instead we have the Tyranny of the minority. The majority is shamed into silence by the vocal minority. The Senate is really intended to put the next government in check not the sitting government. The Senate is intended to be made up of party members from the former government so it's always opposite of the sitting government. That's in a perfect world anyhow.

Mayor Ford has done very considering that everyone is ganging up on him and is trying to bully him. All just because they are on the left wing. We don't need another mayor Miller who is going to spend and raise taxes forever.
