Peanutbutter replied to Boges's topic in Political Philosophy
That's fine squid. As long as the teachers agree to a large pay cut. -

That is not true at all. Pedophiles have preferences of boys or girls. -
Rob Ford, mayor of Toronto UPDATES
Peanutbutter replied to WWWTT's topic in Local Politics in Canada
Seems to me that it's the left leaning council members who are the bullies. They are constantly trying to sling mud at the mayor. If this isn't bullying behaviour then I don't know what is. We don't allow our children to act in this manner but it's ok for adults to? -
Manitoba NDP Tarets Bullying
Peanutbutter replied to socialist's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
This bill isn't about bullying, it's about the LBGQT community and it's politics. Religious schools should be free from being forced into allowing these clubs. if kids in religious schools want to form these groups then they can go to public school instead of a religious school that doesn't agree with the lifestyle anyhow. -
Electoral Reform a Must for Real Democracy in Canada.
Peanutbutter replied to kairos's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
While the system we currently have isn't perfect it's the best from the options available. The only way to really have a majority in each riding is to move to a two party system like the USA. Plenty of riding's are decided with a majority in favor however so it's not entirely true. While it's true that a majority is regarded as 40% of the popular vote, that's the thing about a three party system and having many riding's. I don't like the idea of having people representing the party and being accountable to no one but the party leader. This will only encourage nepotism, which is the opposite of the direction we need our government to be. -

I think this is a go nowhere topic really. Let people study what they're passionate about and don't forgive the loan. -
I really don't blame the NDP at all for this move. Mr. Mulcair cannot know what each and every MP will do at every given moment. I blame the MP himself. It's really shameful whenever any party member crosses the floor to another party no matter who does it and who benefits from it.

Freedom of religion is though and this bill tramples all over that. -

I am personally not a homosexual but it's none of my business what two consenting adults do behind closed doors. I have no ill will towards the gay community as long as they don't try to come onto me or do their sex in public. Sometimes at the Pride parade there can be some sexual touching and simulated sex acts. I have seen some penis grabbing and stroking at Pride as well as some breast massaging but that's it. Saying that all gays are pedophiles is just wrong and shouldn't be tolerated. -
Sometimes it's easy to get heated and upset concerning politics. I try to remember that very real people are posting and we should remember that we're all human beings first regardless of political slant.

I dislike Jew haters. Through history one constant has been the fashionable bashing of Jews. Makes me angry.- 637 replies

Gost, it's called short term sacrifice for long term gain. Wallowing in poverty because one is simply too lazy to do some hard work isn't a worthwhile response.

There are tons of white collar jobs out there today. Tons. This isn't the 1950's, education today needs to take place throughout your career to update the skills not just once. No racism at all. This isn't about race, it's about education. The day and age of people being uneducated and expecting to have jobs for life at great wages are over. Education is very important now.

Israel Forcibly Injected African Immigrants with Birth Control
Peanutbutter replied to bud's topic in The Rest of the World
Hence why I said they are "second generation" people who are choosing to take birth control freely. What do you mean by "forced"? Were they held down kicking and screaming while being injected? Do you expect the birthrate to be as high as it is in their old country? I'm not making excuses. -
of course. If people aren't going to spend the time to get an education then they should expect to work at Tim Hortens for low wages. If they want to make more money then give employers a reason to pay them more. Education equals more money. The western people should be aspiring to be the white collar managers while leaving the grunt blue collar work to the other people who are not as educated. Leave the high wages for the white collar people and less money to the blue collar people who who should be just happy to have a job at all.

After hearing the arresting officers notes I don't think he will be convicted at all. I think he will be acquitted Especially the sex assault charge sounds pretty weak at first glance.

It's disgusting that any people have children then depend on the gov to support them for their ill advised decision. if one cannot afford to have children then they shouldn't be having them.
-
So instead of becoming an uneducated factory worker or Timmies employee why not push children to stay in school and go onto post secondary? Or into the trades to avoid this low wage problem. The time of the uneducated western people being able to make a living wage are over. Stay in school and become educated. The western nations are supposed to be for the white collar people while the lower countries are to be our labour force imho.

Perhaps many of these Israeli Ethiopians are second generation now and are choosing to take birth control which is contributing to the lower birth rate. Do you really expect for the birth rate to remain as high as it is in the old country?
