  1. I agree. The Liberal Party has far too much baggage for a candidate's good intentions to have any impact. Paul Martin promised the same. Igantieff does have political baggage as well. He is the guy who backed the Green Shift. That didn't exactly take farmers needs into consideration.
  2. Was he writing these on the blackboard? He's such an academic it's funny. The comment about young Canadians staying on farms to become agricultural leaders might have had all farmers rolling their eyes at the same time. That's impressive.
  3. The difference is that in the West, death is feared; not a passport to sexy time.
  4. Our neo-Conservative era? Do you by chance love Jesus, but drink a little?
  5. They also lured this guy. He too was a bit of a jerk-off. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/584127/posts
  6. No I don't. I just bet the wish they hadn't done so. Maybe going in to deficit will give them more motivation to actually address health care and make it more efficient, which it will need to be with our aging population.
  7. It took $1 billion out of their coffers.
  8. Likely because she wandered out in the middle of the night when she was supposed to be sleeping.
  9. I bet they wish they didn't get rid of health care premiums.
  10. So basically protecting the lives of native children isn't important to you and it would have been unethical to find O.J. guilty because blacks have suffered.
  11. What? There is nothing democratic about it. Every vote does count. It doesn't matter how much money you raise, it's how many votes you get. Election spending doesn't necessarily translate into votes. The media has far more influence than paid advertising ever will in an election.
  12. Harper publicly asked the national party leaders for their input. So if Ignatieff wants to take the position that he could do better, I would first like to know why he chose to hold back his better and likely brilliant ideas. IMO, it would have been much better if he was chosen at a convention instead of appointed. As it is, he seems to be a puppet for those who put him in power. And what's best for the Liberal Party will take precedence over what's best for Canada. That said, given the choice between a puppet and Dion, I'd take the puppet any day.
  13. I never thought I'd live to see that day that Jdobbin wasn't the most biased Liberal on this board. OMG.
  14. ... and ignoramuses believe Harper is a lawyer, when he isn't.
  15. Age is only a number. You have to factor in genetics. My dad was a young 50 when I was born. He was still playing catch with me at 72. His father and uncles all lived into their 90s.
  16. As a general rule, if the kid has to sit on the floor to breast feed, that's too old.
  17. Misquoted statements like that can be more damaging than cat jokes too.
  18. He is correct. By definition, to be considered a soldier one must be wearing a uniform.
  19. I wonder if muslim extremists drive their children around town in order to point out virgins and teach rewards of blind faith?
  20. That's today. What was the structure in the early 90s? He might have a better idea than you, since he was there. So they agree. Anyone familiar with modeling knows a model is only as good as the data. It's been proven time and time again that climate is far to complex to model. Hansen's modeling was used in the creation of the ice age hysteria in the 70s. Now this. Fool me one shame on you...
  21. I think atheism is best described as the acceptance that there is no god.
  22. Has an atheist ever knocked on your door to do that?

  24. Well he did defeat Dion in the last election. That sure helped prevent alienation.
