  1. It is not what I think that matter,or what you think that matters or even what the alleged military of Canada says, it matters what Afghans say.
  2. The way Harper is throwing around money in BC, on the very same programs Martin did, except of course the 2 mill for Stanley Park, we may be gearing up for one sooner than ya all think.
  3. Well, these ones above are working for the moment at least checked them as soon as my post came up.

The National Citizens Coalition's provincewide ad campaign urging voters to "vote anything but Liberal" unseated 7 of Alberta's 15 incumbent Liberal legislators, and helped assure a landslide victory for Premier Ralph Klein's Conservative government. 5. Here is some interesting inside information from Afghanistan that is not being managed by the military, and NO it is not a radical left site but a speech from Afghan women visiting the USA. http://www.rawa.org/zoya_oct7-06.htm
  6. Then you are in the wrong place. There are a few people here who try to provide a balanced analysis of issues but most members are Conservatives who are extremely biased and when they see any information they don't like they just dismiss it and call names. Oh, I caught that right off the bat, and the dismissing comes by way of false attacks, putting words in peoples mouths, out right lies, misinformation, and name calling. Maybe the site will become better known and the bias to the right will level out more. Unless of course it is here for the purpose of right wing propaganda?
  7. Because Pakistan has nuclear capabilities the US and NATO on't get firm with them, or allegedly anyway. Pakistan Nukes Weird heh, that the USA wants to get firm with Iran, who has NO nukes and who has done nothing to the west when compared to Pakistan.
  8. Harper uses the same handlers that the Republican Party uses, the CPC sent Canadians to the Republican convention, but not the democratic, what does that say? 9. Oh please do tell us how hard done by men are and how women brutalize them? And you are still blamming the female victims for bringing it down upon themselves.
  10. Oh, yes forgot to say regarding comments about rabble, I also belong to Freedominion and post there as well, and have for a long while and most assuredly you will someday get links from me to there, I guesss I will then be labelled a right wing radical too. Unfortunately, there just are not as many accurate posts there with broad based discussions as there is sometimes at babble. I guess those who are disparging babble have been banned. Personally, I happen to believe everything should be discussed and viewed from as many positions as possible and sometimes the contrary opinion to what one believes gets the most rise and then clarification for all can be a result.
  11. It is not radical at all, in fact I notice that you completely did not address the proof given as to Harper's American handlers. Oh, yes, I will also make mention of how disparaging you regular forces are of reservists, especially seeing as how the Dragoons have a distinguished history and Battle Honours flags. Nor was I just a "week end warrior", where do you think the Canadian military gets it's needed extra military personal for military and peace keeping operations? Just as the American military does. Reservists have plenty of powder blue berets and plenty of postings around the world under their belts. Never called the Canadian military apologists of Hitler. Again you are proven disengenuous and a liar. Such is the thinking of simple minded fools.
  12. Oh BS, now you're blaimming the victim, and saying it's womens fault they are getting beaten, because they cause much worse hurt. Abusers say that to the women they are abusing, "it's your fault I have to beat you"! It's an excuse and nothing more. Also, Steinam shoots back at CH here: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Why Being a Feminist Does Not Mean Backing All Women By Gloria Steinem, Women's Media Center. Posted January 16, 2007. There is still a false idea out there that feminists back every woman, regardless of how she behaves. Let's leave that behind right along with 2006. In fact, feminism is just the belief that all people have the full circle of human qualities combined in a unique way in each of us. The simplistic labels of "feminine" and "masculine" are mostly about what society wants us to do: submerge our unique humanity in care giving and reproducing if we're women, and trade our unique humanity for power if we're men. So yes, I believe that women have the right to be wrong, with no double standard of criticism. But when we have the power to make a choice, we also have responsibility. Biology isn't destiny, and it isn't a free pass either. http://www.alternet.org/stories/46621/
  13. Legally, tortured for a year is no worse than tortured for a week, except for drama points. He is not the first or last person to be snagged by ham fisted governments. Krikey, at least he is still alive. Excuse me, I guess you're speaking from the voice of experience in regards to knowing that being tortured for 52 weeks, is no different than being tortured for 1 week? That is almost the most incredible thing I have ever read. Until that is you followed it by using "except for drama points". "Encumbered by idjits we trudged on!" That he was not the first nor will he be the last is not a point, torture is against US law, as it is in Canada. People should be writing the Canadian government and screaming about the RCMP lies. Canadians and Americans should be writing to the US governmnt screaming their outrage at what was done to Arar, not merely saying at least he is alive. Leahy was justified in his anger, the US government, his government, did nastily wrong. Our MPs should be screaming about this too. Too bad the head of the RCMP Zaccarelli used another excuse to get away from being held accountable for this.
  14. Bingo. Excuse me, how is Harper performing any differnt everything comes out of the PMO? Though I do think he is trying to change the optics on that so people forget he is vetting and doing everything, as yesterday when they donated 2 million to Stanley Park on behalf of Canadians, though the cheque was signed "Canada's NEW Government" he did not show up. Though he is today in Victoria when he dumps more money BC's way, it actually looks like he is Paul Martin, prior to last years election dumping money all over BC.
  15. BTW, One cannot compare BBC and CBC to CNN or CTV or Global. Conspiracy theories what conspiracy theories are there besides none? Harper had American handlers and advisors just as he said Harper did. http://www.mclaughlinonline.com/services/p...cal/clients.htm http://www.mclaughlinonline.com/services/p...cal/clients.htm What is left about the title Consortium News Independent Investigative Journalism Since 1995? I never said a word about Venuzuela that was a quote of someone else's words. I clearly stated that at the begining, it seems you cannot read. Again, having never lied about being in the military, but I have nothing to prove to you in that regard, and I am suspecting you are lying about being in the military by the same token. However, in the spirit of fairness but not so as not to out myself completely, I will put my cap badge wording up. Espirit D'Initiative There is no middle ground on rights, you either fully have them or you do not have them. I believe the democrats in the USA are close to the equivalent of the moderate right, in Canada. Harper is not to the extreme right as far as fascism I agree, but he is much further right than are the majority of Canadians, and who knows how far right he would go with a majority. No thanks on looking up extreme right I get enough of that from reading Freedominion the home of Harper's base. As for the extreme left in the USA, I did not know they had a left in the USA. Harper can't be extreme in his policies yet, he has a minority government.
  16. Well, it seems those who say he is not pulling from Afghanistan are again wrong! Troops from Afghanistan to Iraq http://www.thewashingtonnote.com/
  17. Just think of how many would not have died, had Prescott Bush not financed Germany back to a armed power in double quick time? Why didn't they have the stomach for? What propaganda was around at that time telling them differently?
  18. As oposed to using some half assed right wing site? Prove it is radical! The world does have a poor opinion of the the USA and Brits rregarding this, just where have you been? Now the Dutch on the other hand are a whole different can of worms. Apparently you have not heard of analogies! Yet he was the one that moved Canadian troop's down to the volatile south to take part in offensive action's, interesting. Catch up, I was responding to a poster who inferred that Canada got rid of Martin because he opposed the war on terror. You must be more extreme right wing than Harper then, now everything makes sense. My lying again, eh , I have never even mentioned Venezuala, nor am I extreme left. What is below is not my quote tyvm anyway! Howard Dean the former liberal Democratic governor of Vermont would disagree with you as he brought forward civil union's in the state of Vermont. Point?
  19. But you see the encyclopedia, addresses the facts on Masonic history, not the same thing as a dictionary.
  20. Unfortunately for the Tories they can't win more seats in Alberta. And because they are so popular in that province, the Tories can sacrifice some of the support with a new fiscal arrangement that is more favourable for places like Quebec. They have dropped in AB, and Harper can try to pay off PQ all he wants won't work, he is dropping there too.
  21. What is your point of posting a 1965 Websters definition of religion? Particulariliy when it uses only the "male" component in its definition analogy. The quote definition I gave was actually from Merriam Websters on line. The study of languages, linguistics, has came along way since 1965, as have a lot of things. However, I did look at Websters on line and got this: 1. A strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that control human destiny; "he lost his faith but not his morality". 2. Institution to express belief in a divine power; "he was raised in the Baptist religion"; "a member of his own faith contradicted him". It also noted the word religion was not used until the 12th century. And its deverse definition is: 1. An organized belief system based on certain tenets of faith. 2. A belief in a supreme supernatural force or god(s). http://www.websters-online-dictionary.org/...nition/religion What teachings of what Father are people ignoring? And what is the point of saying "do you see why their own children do not listen"? It has nothing todo with the topic at hand.
  22. No, its absolutely true that Harper did model after Bush, the article even gave examples some of which are posted here, and Canadians have in fact been watching Harper be a Bush clone, and he is hard right. Here is another example the article cited: Those Bush allies have gone down to defeat where have you been? Canada never got rid of Martin because he opposed the USA war on terror, interesting that you would even think that let alone postulate it. Again the article says this: A bounce is a temporary surge, a term that is common both sides of the border. Today's Decima Poll has the Liberals ahead just as last weeks poll did from another polling firm. If we went to the polls now Liberals would probably get a minority. CPC does not have the numbers to make a minority when you go by region and the possible number of seats now available to them. BTW the Robbin's Poll out today is useless propaganda. The examples that Bush is against SSM while Harper prefers Civil Unions is semantics. That Bush says he is born, and Harper does not, means nothing. We ALL know Darrel Reid got his position in Ottawa because he delivered a portion of the fundamentalist Christians. And most ALL know Bush is not born again and most likely isn't even Christian at all. The journalist did let the facts tell the story something that many should learn.
  23. Geoffery said 150 years, I said 15, we were both wrong it seems. The environmental impact with nuclear power could be huge and go straight to the Artic Circle. However, if they used coal and natural gas they would be defeating their purpose, as they would be using up other fossil fuels at a greater rate than they were producing oil. It boggles my mind that Albertans do not realize how much money they are giving to Oil by low royalties. If they are taking 1 milion barrels out a day, and if the royalties are 12 dollars a barrel lower than the rest of the oil producing nations, they are losing 12 million dollars a day! If it was 5 million a day they would be losing 60 million a day. I think Oil wants to get the oil out ASAP before Albertans wake up and realize they are giving away their future. They will have nothing in 80 years, I guess they don't care about their grandchildren.
  24. Decima Polls today show Liberals in the lead and the CPC dropping even in AB. The world will in fact notice, rejoice and applaud, us for getting rid of Harper. He has been an embarrassment for us around the world. I.e. the 2 or so Lame Duck Awards given by world environmentalists, alignment with Bush, offensive operations in Afghanistan, starving children just outside Canadian bases in Afghanistan, rejection of Kyoto, not speaking out against the hanging of Saddam, gutting women's programs, etc etc etc. The only thing that has saved face for us, in The World optics, is the fact he is a minority government forced to work in a coalition. Harper is crumbling and this is why:
  25. This actually is a very good article as it has broad examples and coverage, so its much more than just an opinion piece. http://www.consortiumnews.com/2007/011707a.html
