Oda not welcome at provincial meeting on women's issues
Catchme replied to Catchme's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Your points have no bearing on anything, and the limited scope of your ability to process and project eventualities based on rational thought is limiting your ability to both see what IS being said, and to realize that those amounts of unwanted children currently in the system will increase exponentially. How many are currently in the system only has bearing to show those who lie to themselves and say all children are wanted and that there are not many are in the system that they are again wrong. And to show that the amounts of unanted children will double, as will taxpayer costs. And please keep in mind this is NOT an argument as to why pro-choice should exist, because it is NOT. It is simply to show you how wrong in assumption and belief you are, yet again. -

Oh, I know it is absolutely mind boggling, and all it is is uneducated and irrational blathering. You are quite correct, when you say that these children will be born to teen moms, single moms and women who are not ready to emotionally and financially to support a child and in your commentary where they will end up. Here is just 1 study on poverty and crime rates, and google shows over a million hits about it, not that they will ever actually read it and inform themselves, as they want to hold their false doctrine close to their hearts even when proven wrong over and over again. Just a quick google on adoption stats in Canada showed that there are approximately 134,000 children in foster care in Canada waiting for adoption and that there is another 22k or so in orphanages also waiting. Another google search showed me that it costs 40k per year to keep a child in foster care. Now don't get me wrong, I am certainly not advocating abortions as a cost savings to the taxpayer. I am merely pointing out the sheer nonsense, and hypocrisy of those who want to wage a war against a woman’s right to self determine based upon tax savings, and saying that all children are wanted and/or there is no way to prove how many born children are unwanted. Likening any talk of associated costs to caring for an unwanted child to Nazi philosophy is beyond reprehensible, as they were the ones who were trying to frame the debate around cost savings to the tax payer in the first place. A woman's right to self determine and to have equal access to universal health care are unquestionable rights. Those who would seek to erode individual and human rights, based upon personal beliefs and mythology must be disregarded from having any input, just have they have been historically in regards to the same said reluctance to abolish slavery, and to stop denoting woman and non-whites as not being human or should not have the right to vote. -
That's all they want is our money. Which is also why they want a an Amero dollar, they need someone to pay all their NSF cheques floating around plus their trillions in war debt..

Conservatives to deal with Fiscal Imbalance.

What are you talking about? The GST is the best example. He raised personal 1% and decreased GST 1%, LOLOLOL The only example and it was nothing. -
Now, this is even stupider, Bush commenting on his plan and Saddam's hanging. I mean who really listens to this man or even believes what he says anymore? Bush is an idiot Excuse me, he/they launched an illegal war based upon lies, destroyed another country just before that for no reason, and has 2 years left out of 8 and say the government needs to mature?

No fallacy, perhaps I should have said medical condition, as opposed to a disease. The point is we have universal health care for all no gender bias. And you have no way to say they are not medical emergencies, you have no way to know what one will do when faced with the prospect of an unwanted prgnacy, it could be suicide, dumping babies in garbage cans, self inflicted abortions, on top of any physical condition. Just who made you think you know what goes on in the mind of one facing pregnacy that is not wanted, mental issues are medical problems in case you never realized it. Um, what don't you get in those statistics? 84% believe in abortions and 14% do not. That is pretty damn clear. That is only your personal wishful thinking based upon your misinmterpretation of the stats. No I would suggest that that 52% believe in abvortion along the lines of what is currently law, NOT after the first 3 months. To go beyond that point is again wishful thinking and empty speculation. You have absolutely no way of knowing this and NO you would NOT be safe to say that, it is completely pulled out of your own mind based upon no facts or rational thought. Neither am I, in fact I do not believe in abortions after the first 5 months, unless the woman is at risk, just like the majority of Canadians. Again, it is you in the minority who is trying to dictate to my life from a point, and from a position, that you have no right to. You, a totalitarian Christian, represent but 14% of Canadians, if that, depending on margin of error. On line polls lolololololol are not even linking to let alone clicking to. Again, nobody subsidizes others minor surgeries, the real health care expenses come from other self inflicted medical conditions. Universal health care again is just that universal access. Why can't you get it through your head you are subsidizing nothing in regards to my health care, nor anyone elses, unless they are having hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of surgeries? -
I did not suggest that our country does not show our military graditude, i was being sacrastic with you ensuring you that our government did not show that much graditude upon a soldiers death. And yes many people do have more important jobs in running our nation, most are payed very well but perhaps you could list all those that have unlimited liability, and why it would be asking to much for our nation to recongonze that with a better death benifits package ? Yes i can tell your very concerned about our well being infact you've said alot, but nothing that would suggest concern about our safety. Nor have you said with any facts why you want us home. other than make some crazy statements about drug and oil cartels and something about imaginary pipelines and pumping stations. Um, nothing that would suggest concern for your safety but I have shown concern for your well being? How can one show concern for well being but not for safety? Pray tell why do former military personal become anti-war? They are not crazy statements about oil and drug cartels and someday I am sure you will admit, at least to yourself, otherwise. Many millions around the world also know what I have been saying and the proof is everywhere on the net, in books, on TV, all one has to do is LOOK and hear! The denial of it is truly astonishing and lends nothing to Canadian military personal credibility. http://www.mapinc.org/drugnews/v07/n050/a09.html They/you perhaps, are trying to eradicate illegal poppy growing that Karzi does not control only. because he is up to his neck in it and will not lose his profit share by having it made legal.

You faliled to get my point, I was using that stat showing just one of the decisions, or questions, women face in choice, that men will never face, so could never understand. I was not using the stat to support abortions at all. They need no support, it is a right. You are going back and forth. First we try to establish whether all abortion is comparable to a heart transplant in order to establish whether it should be publically funded or not. Just because the law allows something does not mean people have a right to public funding for it. The law allows me to drink a beer, its a right, but I cant tell the government to buy me beer. But we do agree as a society that when something is of urgent need we pool our money to provide it. Abortions are funded already when there is a medical concern. If you have no medical problem you have to fund it yourself. If I was in the hospital and I was on a very expensive drug the government would pay for that. If I wanted to use that drug personally, but unprescripted use was illegal I could lobby the government to allow recreational use, but then it would be quite brass of me to demand that for a situation which is not urgent that the tax payers fund my habit. your comments have nothing to do with what I posted that you responded to. besides that you fail to have a rational thought progression in your attempted compares. Again you are funding nothing except you and your family health care concerns, and if you have more than one child I am more than likely subsidizing you. -

Now that's hogwash, just try to find proof of that fat is directly realted to eating a small % have hormonal imbalances. And actually no it is not. You telling me right now that 95% of the time you are paying more taxes than women is pretty freaking sexist and nothing but pure speculation. An abortion costs 300 dollars, I think the majority of women pay way more taxes than 300 per year, saying nothing of provincial health care levies. Your tax angle it absolute nonsense. She does and 5 out of every 100 women's birth control fails. And teens who have raging hormones don't have the money so they do it anyway. Just as they always have done. It's not when people use birth control they took every precaution, it as a failure, and as I said society is not paying, and there is nothing to do with selfishness, they are mistakes, when will you people start to think rationally? And no by my logic, I am not saying that. I think nothing about it. -
Anyone's beliefs in a mythological entity, or place, or philosophy, as denoted in a book written by men, have no bearings on my right to self determine my life. So, no, I do not take anything and religious person says as being pertinent to my choices in life. And no, it came after his conversion from what I have read so far at least. Again you are NOT funding anything to do with my life and my health care, you are too busy funding your own. I am taking NOTHING from you, nor is anyone else, What don't you get about that? Why do you think, you have a right to demand, that you have a right to have a say, in my right to access universal health care, that I pay into both through taxation, and additionally right off my pay check and my husband's for medicare costs levied by the province? Say nothing of why you you think you have a right to demand access over ruling my rights of privacy and demand a right to have a say in my self detrmination? That is what truly sickens me, that others, than God a minority, are so irrational that they believe their personal beliefs have a right to trump several of my human rights as a Canadian. So how about you spare me, your self righteous desire to involve yourself in the rights of others? Um, yes I can prove there is NO brain functioning before the 5 month. You however can prove nothing.

Why is it that pro-lifers and neo-cons think they are the only ones that pay taxes? hello, you people are in the minority in Canada, the majority of people in Canada think differently than you. The majority also, pay more taxes than the minority do, think about it. Here is another news flash, you're not paying for anything to do with me as an individual. We are all paying for our own universal health care costs, your not paying mine and I am not paying yours. Therefore, if you want a say in my health care expenses then you, the minority, had better be prepared for me, the majority, to have a say in yours/ the minority too. That is such a filmsy fruitless excuse, it is unbelievable to me that someone would even think it would fly. Perhaps if you the minority people kept your minds out of other peoples bedrooms and personal business you would have more time to think rationally. -

Testicular cancer and prostate cancer, are problems in "man land" that can kill them. Passing kidney stones is a real bitch too. When my tax dollars are on the line because missy got pregnant and she could have prevented it, it is my business. If they don't want to get pregnant I'll say it again abstinence or birth control. That's so selfish bringing an unwanted life into the world or robbing the baby of the chance to live (abortion) because Missy wants a piece of ass. You don't want the responsibility you know what to do. Trust me I keep my pants zipper shut because I don't want an STD or to hand out child support payments. Maybe women should do the same if they don't want an STD or pregnancy. Once again I can say whatever the hell I want, so can you. You cannot compare testicular cancer or prostate cancer to pregnancy and it's risks to the woman. When my tax dollars are on the line because some fat lazy middle aged or old man/woman ate their way to 300k + worth of bypasses, it then by the same token is my business and their right to universal health care would be in question, amongst many other "self-inflicted" diseases we tax payers pay for. Did ya never think that women also pay taxes, and are paying for the female petinent service themselves per se? Most women pay way more than 300 a year in taxes. The tax angle won't work, for many reasons and it is illogical when considering universal health care rights and refusing service based upon gender and it being against equality rights. We have universal health care end of story! Women do do the same you know, what about the little male piss ants who can't keep their zippers shut because their hormones are raging? Hello, you need to get realistic, and come live in the real world. Moreover, 5 out of every 100 women are going to have failure in birth control, each year ending in an unwanted prenancy, end of story. NO, you have NO right to have a say over my body and my right to self determine action and choice, nor my daughters or granddaughters, aunts, female cousins, friends or acquaintences. Particularily not over 300 dollars worth of taxes that I more than pay myself in a year, say nothing of my daughter's tax rates. What is sad you do not even realize how small it makes one yelling about their tax dollars in regards to this. -
I disagree. Wait for the March 20 budget with all the goodies. There will be so much cash handed out that many voters will vote conservative in expectation of their beer and popcorn cheques. Well, perhaps, though I think not, Martin threw money around like water and that did not help. Harper is throwing money into PQ, which will get him no where, the CPC are dropping in the west, in particular BC, and he already gave us our shot of money, so none will be forthcoming. And they look poised to lose more seats in BC. Ontario is not going to go further ahead in CPC seats, so where would they pull these needed seats even to keep a minority government? I have more faith in Canadians I guess, or a less cyncical view of people's motivators.

Complete bullshit. There is absolutely no evidence that there is any life in an embryo prior to the 5th month of gestation and abortions beyond the 3rd month are performed only when the mother's life is in danger. Life prior to the 5th month is a figment of religious fanatics' imagination. But according to them, the earth is also flat and 6000 years old. Stats show that 5 out of 100,000 women in Canada die from pregnacy related issues, though the medical community says this might be a serious underreporting. That is NOT even considering those who have severely damaged renal systems, cardiac, or other pregnacy related illnesses that last for life. Or even considering those women who have pregnancy related strokes and are disabled forever. What kind of "supposed life bringing" condition do men face that may kill them, or diable them for life? Oh, yes, that would be NONE! Perhaps they should try facing that one? They can't and it is the main reason why anything a male says in regards to pro-choice is waste products, they do not know what it is like to face such a thing, and put their lives and future health on the line for something they did not want and perhap cannot even deal with. As I said, and will say again, I support the living, not the potential life that does not start until after the 5 month "quickening". The asshats that say the women should keep their legs closed need to keep both zippers shut that give access to either of their heads output. -
Yes, it certainly is apparent that the CPC has maxed out in their supporter base. No movement in the polls, or since the election either. They have no where to go but further down. The CPC have dropped 14 points in the west! LOLOLOL It is becoming more apparent, the CPC have lost the numbers who voted for them because they were peeved with the Liberals. I guess all those promises NOT MADE are catching up them!

Technically everything is alive. But the key is enlivened, as in human brain wave activity, and then when unassisted breathing is present, or it is not. That is how people are judged to be you know "alive". Moreover, IMV his conversion to Catholicism makes anything he says suspect, or even if was any fundamentalist religion that erodes the rights of women! What's even more unusual, when one googles this man, one sees no other medical reports or commentary on his contentions supporting this thought form of his, all one finds is religious anti-choice rhetoric and web pages. As I said, I prefer to support the rights of those who really truly are alive and breathing, and who are capable of making their own choices with their own life and body.

No wonder I have disgarded any memory of Dr Sommers fellow in the Enterprise Institute. http://www.aei.org/ LOLOLOLOL No wonder Jane Fonda dedicated 12.5 million to Harvard to research basically, Sommers stated research, and even named it after Sommers nemisis. She seems like Ann Coulter from what I have read. LOLOLOL But am going to read her book anyway, though I am not really interested in the US viewpoint and applying it to other nations and peoples.

Okay, thank you, I did not know her first name, will try again, and perhaps get the book to read. Of course they can cry oppression, just because there is more ability to access, the above listed powers, than ever before, does not translate into it being accessable to all, or even to what effort or degree they are accessable to. Nor does accessablity translate into equality, as in everyone has acheived it. Okay, edited to say I tried again and got 30k more hits than you did.

The link to the US stats was holding wealth. Never heard of the lady so did a google apparently google hasn't heard either, and I see you cannot substantiate anything, so it would then be discardable unproven info. What am I missing?
-
What's funnier is that when you read statistics you don't like, you say they are probably made up. Not too sure where the bit about "celebrities" comes in. Let me try a different approach here; I'll use basic logic. I guess if women hold slightly more than half the wealth, then men hold slightly less than half. I actually have been searching for evidence of these stats that you say and have NOT found them, how about you provide a link? But I did find this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Male-female_i...rity_in_the_USA And FYI, the USA 2001 census does not support your contention look under the wealth section. Men outstrip women by a significant factor. http://www.census.gov/compendia/statab/inc...ditures_wealth/

Yeah life sucks sometimes. An abortion is a ghost that will haunt you your whole life. Don't think otherwise. So is a forced pregnancy Again, life sucks sometimes. I protect the rights of the unborn child as a citizen of Canada. It takes a community to raise a child so no I don't endorse killing life. I value it. I guess that must be the crazy, subconsion morals I learned from my Catholic highschool. Personally, I did not know the Catholic Church had morals. They sure haven't shown any over the centuries. And no abortion is not a ghost that haunts all, in fact, I would say for the majority, it was a relief. It is a small minority who commit suicide, who have had one out of the 100's of thousands who have had one. And who knows they might have anyway, regardless of having the child or not, perhaps they may even have taken that born chiild's life had they not had an abortion, your speculating. You cannot chuck that kinda of stuff around with out depth. I choose to protect the lives of those who are already BORN, over those feotus that may be, Funny priority actually. And hey are you going to adopt those 5k or so orphans/ unwanted children in NB that are in the system that nobody seems to want? And hey guys how about men keeping their zippers closed, it takes 2? mikedavid please respond your 750 k commentary for widows of Canadian military? -
I said it was a NATO operation in fact, and I said 3-5 years, if look by far the most who went, were reserves doing 8 month stints, unless you were in communications and it could be longer. And it was considered plum low risk. Glad to hear there isn't alcohol. Though I concurr with your not wanting anyone under the influence looking after your back. Truly, I care not what you say against me, you and CB have lied and been proven incorrect so many times I can't even be bothered with your slandering worry over the optics of a former military person speaking to truths. There are reasons why former military personal have become activists against war you know. People should watch this video it is a good watch: Veterans Against War
-
Well the difference is I'm in the real army, while you simply made up this fantasy that you were in the Canadian military. Big difference, as well it's the same pay for each rank, regardless of gender. I can't believe you have stooped so low as to lie about your military service. Again, I can 't believe you are stooping so low as to call me a liar, and try saying I wasn't, when indeed I was. Not going to bother with your comments re this, as I know you are trying to discredit what I say because of the "optics". I said equal pay for equal designation. And if you say women are treated equally in all things in our military, you are fabricating. The glass ceiling sure as hell exists there as it does in the civlian world. Oh, I never got that from your post, thank you. Um, no it can't, just because "some people" think so, does not make it so. Try looking at the Canadian laws when life begins for facts. I do not know what you are saying with this, clarity please. Uh first premise is wrong a feotus is not a child, it may have the potential to be, if everything goes well, and if a woman chooses to abort that feotus you're correct a male has NO say, even more reason to keep that fly zipped, eh? Oh yes, BTW what was the name of the thread were you slandered me regarding my grandfather being part of the 1st 500 Canadians into WWI? I want to address that.
