Mulroney Honoured As Canada's Greenest PM

Ted, as much as I agree with you and would be willing to live in Mulroney's basement and clean out his grease trap...do you have a source for the above quotes? -
Mulroney Honoured As Canada's Greenest PM
Cameron replied to Teddy Ballgame's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Here, Here...Greatest man on earth! Brian, you deserve this! Thank you for building a great country that I can enjoy today. -
Greg, if you don't mind, can you explain your thesis? I would love to know what it is on. Also, what was the reason for starting this forum? Was this a project as well? Let us know, we are inquiring minds! Thanks Cam

I'm not a big fan of that site. The first time I went there, I was disgusted with the "neo"-left of some members. I hope it collapses in on itself. Another nail in the coffin for rabble from me, is when I visited earlier and saw a rabble sponsored "Get rid of Harper Fast" ad at the top. So long losers. Greg I'm glad to keep this forum clean.

ALCAN makes good aluminum-foil. Would you like me to make you a hat? The Liberal, I'm not really sorry for your loss Jan 23. It was about time that the Liberals were taken out of power, they were starting to look like the Gestapo, with their death-grip on the Canadian political scene. You will find that in the coming months and years, the CPC will do more than the Liberals could ever dream about (making decisions was tough for Martin, he was a frightened boy with wide eyes but no gust to sign the paper). Just sit back and watch Canada be rebuilt from years of in-decisions, poor planning, and lack of leadership. It's really warm and nice out today, I think I'll go out and bathe in the sunlight and bask in the utopia that is being created...

This is my real name. And these are my real opinions. I have no problem with using my name. I wouldn't use my full name because of privacy issues.

People are individuals, and think like individuals. Socialism and Communism don't treat people like individuals, they treat them like numbers part of a big equation. The "American" system does have it's flaws but I think it is the best system that there is. I don't think a system should be totally capitalist but have some socialism in it.

Conservative will best suit your needs.

The problem that I have with this song is that he talks about the bad life and how it helped him, and he glorifies that. Take a look at these verses. He is selling dope on the corner at 16. Gimme a break, why are you singing about this and acting all though about the "bankroll" that you have. He is glorifying a type of lifestyle that people assume with blacks. The song does not condemn the practice of dealing drugs, nor does it discourage young people from doing it. The song is littered with young people singing along with him. This isn't the message that I'd want to be sending about my old neighbourhood. This is not a way to change things with the poor of the urban centers.

Usually their 'physique' is shown as impeccable, like that 50 Cent fellow (all muscle and 'bulletproof'), and everyone is encouraged to "get rich or die tryin'. Are you suggesting that this is somehow 'wrong'? Sorry, Psyche.

After seeing a video on Much Music the other day, I had to ask myself a question about rap music and the message that it sends. The song My Hood by Young Jeezy is a song that I thought was about overcoming life in housing developments and creating a good life from nothing, but when I listened to the lyrics, was I wrong. So if he was still working, he could get you a sack of dope, whatever it is. Sixteen years old and selling dope on the corner. Nice. Running from the cops. Wonder why? The one main thing that got me mad about this song (if you want to call it that) is the video is shot in a happy type mood. It is as if he is proud of what he has done, and that this lead to a better life. One major disconcerting factor is the young kids that are in this video. They range from 1-16 years in age, and having fun singing along. I just wonder what that does to their Psyche when they relate to dealing drugs and living a life of crime as a life of rewards and prosperity. The early hip hop was about overcoming this type of life and fighting back against discrimination. Now it seems they are turning 180. Full lyrics

I'd rather have the US as a neighbor than one of these wing nut countries...

This is Hard For Me to Say... But I Am Sorry
Cameron replied to Nocrap's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I wouldn't take what people say here to seriously (when they are poking the fire). The internet is a faceless beast. Much like the NDP (ha ha!). People will throw junk comments your way at times, but that is because they are fearless behind their mighty computers, and make death threats to the ISP company when it goes down. Keep posting here, and if someone gets offended, tuff luck...it's something we call free speech and if they don't like it they can pack their bags and find another country to live in. -
This is Hard For Me to Say... But I Am Sorry

25 posts in and you are already apologizing...wow. -
This is ridiculous. These people and VLT's are starting to get on my nerves. I can't believe that people will let themselves go that much, to where they have to put a gun to someones head and then sit down at the machines and play for awhile. I think everyone here is to blame, dumb in-bread people, VLT's, and the Government. What do you guys think??? I'm fuming right now....

Liberal Leadership Kit for sale on ebay
Cameron replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I hope this is a joke..because you have to pay a percentage of the final winning auction total to ebay.... -
No, UoM, you are just starting to see beyond the fray that is all...you are comming to the light and a better world...we love you over here!

Gerry...common now. This is just a "poke-post". You know it's going to start a fight...Don't tell me I told you so...

Agree Geoff. Everyone tries to make it out that there is some big conspiracy out there with these companies to take over the world. I would love to take a look into communist and socialist countries and see what they are up to. I bet they are as transparent as mud....or for a better example, black, poisonous tar. All this article is trying to do is encourage protectionism. If this Mrs. Thompson had her way, the gov't would hire hundreds of people to do the counting rather than a computer.
