  1. Right... it's been explained repeatedly.. note that there are no amendments in the new budget as per the news this morning.
  2. Really, you guys are something else, now the PM was 'hiding in a cupboard', talk about malfeasance and grossly distorting what happened - that he was put there by the RCMP for obvious safety reasons.
  3. I read about it earlier.. My guess is they are hers.
  4. Indeed - I heard something on the car radio this morning that I would've actually phoned in about if I could have done so at the time. It won't be long that others will be repeating the manta the PM Harper 'failed us'... ho hum Meanwhile Justin T. says '. We will remain resolved'. Resolved to what? He was sure far from resolved on joining the fight against Isis, so what's his position now.
  5. Rumour has it that the Canadian taxpayers highest paid employee has just arrived in the HOC – the PM you say - nope - Peter Mansbridge has apparently arrived

Peter does a good job. I quite like him. Now what I wait to see is Duffy's "extra" paycheck.

Sure he does a good job, but he makes a heck of a lot more than $80K The going rate for national anchors in Canada is a minimum of $500,000,

  6. Converts are often the worst zealots. Wonder who is converting them and what they are being sold. This is a picture, allegedly of the shooter https://heavyeditorial.files.wordpress.com/2014/10/michael-zehalf-bibeau.jpg?w=780
  7. Says it's private so can't watch it.
  8. Very well said !!!
  9. Coulda fooled me, but then, that's a typical response from a group which consistently tries to suppress opposing opinions. e.g. vigorous opposition to Sun News
  10. I'm sure you've heard it before and not just from moi.. He also gutted the military budget and the resulting spending by provinces was brutal resulting from the gutting of health transfers. You don't need links from me to confirm that one. Not to mention Martin's proposal to screw seniors with his plan to gut the old age pension. Of course, none of that is relative when it comes to the CPC So, anyone have a cite for Harris Miliken quote, not to mention that it's obvious Harris only interviewed people who supported his narrative. A paranoid message within his own little Harris bubble of hate.
  11. I disagree he will go down as the worst PM especially since Canada has fared very well over his years. Chretien was known as the little bully or little dictator, and his gov't was known for gutting transfer payments in the billions... Disagreeing over policy and ideology is one thing, but the hysterical paranoia many people show over Harper is weird. Harris is an example of that, in fact. Does anyone have a cite for the Peter Miliken quote in Harris's book.. (other than Harris)
  12. To reiterate as we are now going around in circles. This goes back to 1988 when an appeal to the S.C. was won by the Liberal Party. (I believe that it actually may apply to all people) https://www.scribd.com/doc/242517364/Liberal-Agency-of-Cannda-1988 But, as said, the issue was reignited when the main networks notified political parties they would not air ads featuring content used without permission. This even after the 2012 Copyright Act was reformed. This act is slated for review in 2017 and states that the amount of work needs to be substantial for it to be covered by the act. Considering most ads are not more than a short blurb, it is the same as what the Liberals fought for and won in the Supreme Court. The Tory proposal is nothing but a proposal to allow all political parties to use sound bites/clips in their ads as per S.C. 1988 and later 2012 with other rulings in between as shown. The question is, why is the media colluding and misleading the public on this if it’s not for money and to continue pushing their own agenda, which includes cover up for Trudeau. So, is this ‘permission going to be selective and since when is the media responsible for deciding what we should see and not see.
  13. How many of the 66% currently not receiving home delivery have died?
  14. Maybe they should. http://www.michaelgeist.ca/2014/10/isnt-fair-dealing-enough-government-considering-copyright-exception-cover-political-advertising/
  15. So what do all of these people who are part of the 66% without home mail delivery do now?
  16. Really - Newer mail boxes are much nicer looking, we've had mail boxes at the end of the street for eons and we are both seniors. If a person is so disabled/elderly etc. etc. so as not to be able to get the mail box then obviously they can't get out to do anything else so must have someone helping them.
  17. No, but so far it's not in the media and it's just another case of the media ignoring the law. As Andrew Coyne said in reference to this issue: https://twitter.com/acoyne/status/524267572473372674 They've quoted me accurately and in context. I have no problem with it. The media party is trying to claim complete copyright control over everything it publishes, ignoring the long practices and legal precedents for ‘fair use’ of copyright materials. Another case on copyright infringement is probably the Supreme Court decision in CCH Canadian Ltd. v. Law Society of Upper Canada and the S.C. case won by the Liberals as referenced earlier. Canada I believe has one the best fair use for users and the decision in CCH is one of the strongest in favour of user’s rights, I believe it is being fought. http://scc-csc.lexum.com/scc-csc/scc-csc/en/item/2125/index.do http://www.canlii.org/en/ca/scc/doc/2012/2012scc37/2012scc37.html?searchUrlHash=AAAAAQAJY29weXJpZ2h0AAAAAAE
  18. How about an instant replay on two other experts on it as posted here earlier... http://arielkatz.org/archives/3437%C2'> the other is Michael Geist. It's clear that the media is in cahoots to stop Tory ads To repeat, the only reason the CPC is suggesting they need to clarify the law is because the media has refused to air their ads. (links posted previously) The media is grossly interfering in the democratic process by colluding with each other to illegally stop the CPC from running ads. I suppose this is the reason the new ad is on youtube and not on the airwaves yet, but allready the Huff Po is up in arms about it, guess they don’t like being held to account with their own words.
  19. That's the way it's being presented, as an attack on the elderly and disabled.
  20. Confirmed: Trudeau will raise your taxes and do away with promised income splitting for families with children under 18

it is simply dishonest. I am not a fan of buying into political party lies. It's partisan hackery.

I don't even care for the Liberals and won't vote for them.

      It's 100% fact.

  21. Just great, now Ontario is considering funding for foreign graduate students – beats helping Canadian students I guess.

  22. According to this and others two-thirds of Canadian households already do not receive mail delivery at their door, and the decision to discontinue the remainder was "difficult." http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/canada-post-court-challenge-launched-to-save-home-mail-delivery-1.2800697 According to this they are losing billions and restructuring the retiree health beneft plan won't help. http://time.com/93971/postal-service-loses-almost-2-billion/ Some comments in recent news reports suggest that all we need from Congress is help with restructuring our retiree health benefit plan,” Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President Joseph Corbett said Friday,
  23. So, Trudeau has written a book about himself and his acne -but wait - who helped him write it – you got it – a group effort with the media. Just imagine the Media Party out cry if four journalists helped PM Harper write his autobiography!
  24. In other words, an out-of-touch union is suing the government so the minority 30% of Canadians who have door-to-door mail delivery can keep it
