  1. Good to see the politically correct Mike Hardner back, eh?
  2. Liberal Davies commented that marijuana reduces family violence and that growing it in a home poses no harm to children. She also wrote that the Canadian Cancer Society is "another outlet for big pharma."

Trudeau has done nothing but constantly backpedal and downplay his pro-pot position because it's bought out the kooks.

  3. Joy Davies resigns as Liberal candidate over Facebook pot comments. Whada dope.

  4. Nope. I agree the CPC will not win. It will be an interesting minority. I know many Liberals who can work with the NDP, but I also know more that despise the NDP. Interesting times.
  5. B.C. Liberal Candidate Joy Davies Says Pot Causes No Harm To Kids. (Even during pregnancy apparently

  6. So... An official Liberal candidate tweets "f'ing bitch" and "your mother was a whore", and no one cares?

  7. This is an interesting article from the CBC. There is much discussion in education circles about the value of homework. This article has caused a heated debate in the comments section with over 700 comments arguing both sides. Personally, I feel some homework is healthy for skill reinforcement. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/back-to-school-2015-is-the-end-of-homework-near-1.3209856
  8. Fin Donnelly. Why is the media protecting him? The media party at work.

  11. Right thing done via-a-vis two CPC candidates, but so far no accountability for NDP.

  13. The UAE has enough oil money to build artificial freaking islands, but nah they can't take any refugees.

Yup. Same with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, etc.

@ Shady - Jordan isn't rich. But you can add Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain and Oman to that list.

      Yup. They're all uncaring dirtbags....

And Harper supporters want Canada to be more like them.

  14. Labour unions across Canada preparing to launch major anti-Harper offensive.

  15. Islamic State ISS reveals it has smuggled over 4,000 Islamic extremist gunmen into Europe, hidden among refugees.
  16. But it is politicizing when the leaders of the opposition do not want to reveal the real facts, namely that the boy's family had not applied for refugee status in Canada and furthermore, that Canada indeed has done a lot for refugees from the world over. So, yes, Tom and Justin HAVE politicized the issue. If you cannot see that then you are readily misled.
  17. If opinion writers such as Tabatha Southey feel the need to instill into Minister Alexander the need to think of the dead Syrian child when he pushes his own children in a swing set, and if Trudeau's campaign manager Gerald Butts does some fundraising on the side for the Liberal party over the boy's dead body, then really, what questions would be left for Harper to answer for, exactly?? Perhaps the members of the media should buy some mirrors. I hear mirrors might be on sale soon.
  18. When Justin Trudeau made the choice to skip Parliament in session to then go out and deliver speeches to charities and schools, did he then respect Parliament? No other MP has ever given speeches for extra fees, let alone skipping Parliament to go an deliver speeches for extra fees. Only Trudeau decided to do that!
  19. There will be problems with any program to bring in either refugees or regular immigrants. No process can be perfect. There are reasons why rules are updated. Reality of abuse of the system makes it necessary. Some of you seem to be thinking that bringing refugees into a host country is just a simple matter of buying a plane ticket for them. You should really start looking at reality instead of pretending complicated issues are simple.

The ability of western nations to deal with refugee crises (they've largely created) depend on what colour they are and what religion they belong to.

The west has not created the refugee crisis. Don't be asinine.

  20. Thanks for the link. YUe, the CPP as a scam that hurts more than it helps.
  21. My topic was non-partisan, and leave it to you, a hyper-partisan to politicize a federal program. I didn't say anywhere that I'm happy about the CPP. The difference between you and me is simple. You want the state to hold your hand through life while I want the state to leave me alone.

  23. I'm forced to pay for 40 years but family can't benefit if I die early. How can you favour that?
  24. I understand, but I think it is wrong to give very little to a beneficiary. They should get a lump sum of the total the deceased person put in.
