Actually, Trudeau will pay for it with the new 33% tax bracket for those making over 200K. He will also end income spliting which will help pay for the child cheques. He will also end the CPC's child benefits, so in reality, you won't really have to fork any more over. Also my tax bracket is going down from 22% to 20.5 %. Trudeau is looking after the middle class and I don't think it will cost the average Canadian anything. I will use those cheques to support the economy. Now let's look at a single parent on welfare. If that parent has 2 kids under 6, s/he will receive $1067/month.

Lots of delicious money for middle class parents. A couple who makes a collective $150K a year with 2 kids under 6 and 1 over will receive a monthly cheque of $484 - TAX FREE. I have to hand it to Trudeau..he cares about the middle class. My family will greatly benefit from this. My household will receive about $684 TAX FREE. In a democratic framework, when you alternate in power, there are many things you have to accept. In addition, the years of budget deficits clearly showed that he adopted liberal economic policy prescriptions to fight the recession. Yes, he played on the theme of balanced budgets, but the clear preoccupation was with job numbers, GDP growth numbers, etc. His recession fighting turned timid by 2011, admittedly, but he was able to count on the provinces to run large deficits and make up for the limited stimulus he provided.
