  1. Yesterday Albertans were treated to the spectacle of Minister of Jobs, Skills, Training and Labor Lori Sigurdson campaigning in BC for fringe federal NDP candidate Jacqui Gingras. It's not bad enough that the Alberta NDP postponed a budget until after the federal election, worse yet Minister Sigurdson is backing candidate Gingras who openly advocates for an embargo on Alberta energy resources. With Alberta shedding 40,000 jobs in the last three months one would think that the Jobs Minister was busy developing strategies to address this collapse...you of course would be dead wrong. Some describe pronouncements coming from the Notley government as platitudes, I would suggest they are much closer to bald faced lies.
  2. Why should anybody feel sorry for Notley? She ran to govern. She should be prepared to govern given the economic circumstances. Instead of governing, they are busy campaigning for federal NDP candidates in another province and trying to come up with more ways to slay the oil industry once and for all. Albertans are in for 4 years of serious pain and, hopefully, this will lay bare for all time the harm that an NDP government can do to a province and to this nation. Ontario, B.C. Saskatchewan, Manitoba, now Alberta all got pounded under the NDP. Why do Canadians, as a nation, want to self-flagellate by putting the NDP in power federally? Let's hope that question remains unanswered. Vote anybody but Mulcair.
  3. We are talking about the NDP here, as long as government workers have their job's who really cares about the rest of the province, after all, those people in the privet sector for the most part are mindless peons that need to be made to pay more, forced to get rid of their gas guzzling trucks even if they need them for work or farming. We are also talking about the NDP's desire to implement it own agenda, wind mills instead of oil wells, solar panels instead of electrical generation from gas or coal, information based jobs instead of jobs for welders, electricians, carpenters and heavy duty mechanics. Just remember the NDP saying in the last election that the 5,000 civil servant jobs were important, and would not be cut, while the conservatives asked about the privet sector jobs that would be shed to protect those job's she had no answer as the NDP are clueless on how the tax system works.
  4. When I was heavily invested in Marxism, yes, that is what I one believed. That kind of thinking was hammered into me at university. I blindly believed it. Now I know I was dead wrong. I don't have a schtick.
  5. Many do not know. The MSM has been very quiet.
  6. So you think kids are better off away from their parents in favor of paid statist caregivers?
  7. What I want to know is why the lame stream media is not examing more of the NDP and Liberal policies? Instead they seem to be worried about pictures of salmon or whatever. Trudeau just wrote a 4 page letter to the premier of Quebec, promising to give that province freedom without interference in areas of joint jurisdiction (in other words a freehand with federal funding) and Mulcair is campaigning with a team of closet separatists and challenging the Clarity Act. When is the press going to do its job and give Canadians a real examination of these policies?
  8. I think that is why Wynne is campaigning so hard for Trudeau. She is in a bit of a pickle. She introduced ORPP to change the channel on all the scandals. It worked and she got elected. Now she is stuck with an unworkable program. The Liberals have promised an expanded CPP. If the Liberals get elected she has an out. She can endorse an expanded CPP and drop ORPP, which even she knows is ridiculous.
  9. Forty thousand Albertans have been laid off so far this year. The unemployment rate in Fort McMurray is 8%. Youth unemployment province-wide is 11.2%. And it’s only going to get worse. So what is Lori Sigurdson, Alberta’s NDP Minister of Jobs doing? Is she holding emergency meetings with employers? Coming up with an emergency plan to rescue the oilpatch? No. She’s out in British Columbia, campaigning for Thomas Mulcair. Alberta is back in a recession but the NDP Jobs Minister is out yukking it up with her federal NDP friends, the party that has publicly called for an oilsands moratorium.
  10. Think about it folks. The NDP daycare plan will cost you higher Federal taxes and Provincial Taxes. You have to ask yourself, do you really want to pay all this extra money to take care of your neighbour's children?
  11. Paul Martin slashed $6.2 billion to provinces for health, social programs. Economic leadership?

Ontario Premiere at the time Mike Harris did similar austerity measures as Martin. He's still thought of as a Monster in some corners of Ontario, Martin is a saint. People are idiots.

The surplus the Liberal had Harper was the one that spent it not the Liberals.

  12. Why would the progressive Liberals want Blair?
  13. Trudeau's strategy was not to release his full platform with costing until the last moment. It looks like he's getting Canadians ready for the fact that he's going to be short billions of dollars.
  14. Trudeau's main man (Gerry Butts) - or puppeteer, if you're pessimistic - was McGuinty's Chief of Staff. How have the Ontario Liberals been with balancing the budget? Not raising taxes? Keeping their promises? Are they still blaming Harris for 13 years of their governmental mismanagement? Have they owned up to the fact that the provincial debt has doubled on their watch? All very good reasons not to vote for Trudeau and his Butt-headed policies.
  15. So Trudeau attacks Harper for running a deficit, calling it a "mess" but in the same breath says that austerity is not an option and that he will run deficits as well and won't put a timeline on when the budget should be balanced. Perhaps Trudeau should try asking Wynne how her "We'll balance the budget when we feel like it" approach is working out for her.
  16. Each week Justin sounds more and more like Wynne.

  17. You see, you bop and weae with this nonsense because the CBC is promoting your side and fooling weak minded Canadians in the process. The ad was a pro-CBC ad.
  18. I saw the pro-CBC ads on TV. I pay attention and it's not my fault that you don't.
  19. He's not on there anymore.
  20. Liberals had high hopes for ex CPC Eve Adams.

  21. The promote your ideology. Why would you want to do sumthin bout it?
  22. Watch the TV personalities and get back to us.
  23. I said I saw them on TV. The CBC can get others to do the dirty work for them. We simply can't trust the CBC for fair reporting.
