Most Canadians will always SUPPORT the troops but not the GOVERNMENT, if they show they are heading in the wrong direction, as Harper is, an election will either proof this to be true or not.

Anyone making $10 hr x 40hrs= 400.00 take deductions and what do you have? Basic expenses would be rent anywhere from $400-800 monthly, gas, hydro, gas for car, insurance for car, maybe car payments, food, and if you have a mortgage, theres more expenses with a house. It definitely take 2 people, to make ends meet, on wages lower than $20 hrly. A single person depending on their debt would find it hard to survive, so how can a family of 2 kids make it? It doesn't sound like Harper's Cons are into social programs , which the low and low-middle class need to make it.

What Clinton wasn't available? Why an American Lib? At least, ask for John Kerry, he's a very good speaker.

I, for one, don't believe that's true. I don't believe Quebec is a nation, its one of the provinces of Canada and I don't believe the Bloc, should be seating in Ottawa, since they don't believe Quebec is a province of Canada! Quebec has the Liberals, the Conservatives, the NDPs and the Bloc representing the interests of it! Why? Why should any province have more representation than the others? Just think of the difference in Parliament, if the Bloc weren't there and how the voting would go and the end results!

Couldn't they have just have a law, which I think , is a law, BOTH HANDS on the steering wheel at ALL times? That would take care of smoking, cell phones, drinking, eating, shaving or anything else people do behind the wheel.

In the question period ech day, Harper or one of his ministers are always saying "In 13 years the Liberals " etc. I'm sick of hearing that phrase and Harper can only HOPE to get 13 MONTHS!! The Liberals didn't stay in power by themselves they were voted in, so when they talk about "13 years" I say, they are bad mouthing Canadians that put the Liberals there.

I have a saying, Supports the troops always but NOT the government! The Liberals sent them there BUT it was Harper than expanded the mission and whatever happens falls at Harper feet! Harper should have had a debate about expanding the timeline but he didn't and that was the mistake he made.

I'm sure ALL Canadians thank these people who go and fight, BUT we ALL have to make sure that the government looks after the troops, during and AFTER, they come home especially ,the injured and for the rest of their lives, if needed be!

The Taliban in 2000 had cut the dope trade down to 90%, they were against, and then the US invaded and its started back up again. So if it was done once, the country can lower it again but the war must stop and let peace bring the people back to a normal life.

I believe it was Jay Hill, I think that the minister's name, ask Cherry to appear and I would think, he also knows Cherrys' comments about the separatist, which I don't think they should be allowed in Ottawa, so Hill knew it would probably bother some of the French people there and have a reaction. I was surprised when it was the French Liberals that rejected the present of Cherry and not the Bloc. I'm just wondering what games the Alliance members are playing??

The next question is, how many Conservatives and family members, will reap the benefits of having dividend funds?

I like to know who are the people they ask? Do they ask the supporters of the govt seating?? It like the poll that show people are against the war more now than ever. Alberta was the only one that supported the war, home of the Alliance!!

I think Iggy came back to start trouble in Canada, espeically with Quebec. Bring up separation and get things going, every province starts fighting about it. He for the war in Iraq and Afghanistan and probably for going into Iran!! He's too American now and should be aleader of a party in Canada. If he got in, I vote against him and not for Harper either!!

When you're a minority government, you have to be that way so you can get a majority, which I don't think Harper will get! I see three BIG mistakes he's made that some Canadians won't like, not lowering the flag, keeping the troops longer overseas and the income trust, were it hit more Canadians than corporations. I just wonder if any of them(the ministers) lost investments or their families???

I understand what McKay was trying to saying about the people at Xmas time, I, also understood his meaning when someone asked him about his dog and he replied"YOU HAVE HER!" The more I watch this government the more I don't like it. The most important reason is THEY NEVER ANSWER A QUESTION!!!! They have appointed Baird the "court jester" to make fun of the oppositions. They AVOID at all cost to give a direct answer and turn it around to the person who asked. This is what our tax dollars are paying for...the comedy channel!!!!

If O'Reilly REALLY believes that Bush made a mistake, then he's dumb and deaf! I've read the timeline on the war, I read books from other Republicans that work for the Bush government and they all say the same thing. IT wasn't a mistake or wrong info. Bush was told over and over again the info wasn't true but they used this by saying we thought it was, prove it wasn't! They lied and lied because they planned back in "99 in Maine that Bush would run for president and go into Iraq and take out Hussein! In the debates with Kerry Bush said he wouldn't use the military for "country building" he lied then and hasn't stopped!! I, also, think Cheney is playing a bigger part then the "silence VP" most of the time!! There is so much corruption behind DC and the White House , people could even fathom it and that's how they get away with it! America needs a 3rd party to take over and find out the truth about 9/11 and the Afghanistan and Iraq war!!

Everything you read is true, I heard another guy talk about the rip off of the US bank. I also, suggest that you research the company Carlyle Group. Its a very private investment company with equities of 44 BIL and growing. Check out whose a member, what they invest in, by the way, if you can think of a company, they probably own it ALL over the world. BY doing this, they will control the economics of the world. You will notice in your research, that most are former govt heads like, presidents, prime ministers etc. with more from the US like Bush41, people who worked under his government, former PM Majors etc. They don't like being in the spot light and so, Bush retired from the board but still is a member.

One of the reasons they had to cancel their tours in the US was they got a couple of death threatens and all the women are married and have small kids. So, does this show how the Con supporters show their support for Bush, like the swift boat people on Kerry? I say these people are dangerous people. No group, or person, should be threaten with death because they don't care what someone said about their leader. Most of the world is on the Chicks side! I think their CD is great and went #1, even though some people in the US disagree with them.

Diebold and another company that makes these machines support the Cons and the head of Diehold was over heard at a party that he would do whatever it took to help Bush in the 2004 election. Some of the machines had votes on them before the polls opened. The only way to have an honest election with these is with a paper trail so people have proof of their vote. Any computer can be hacked and after seeing some results on the web, the day after the 2004 election, I believe it was rigged. I've read that certain congresspersons and senators have used rigged software in the past to be elected.

I've read alot on this and one article I read said that Bush was going to go in without the UN BUT Blair told him he couldn't do that, it would be illegal and so it was Britains' idea to come up with the 1441 and make it so Hussein would break it and so that would let Bush to invade the country legally. Bush had plans on invading Iraq one way or another but Blair wanted done legally. I just wonder how much Cheney had in this, behind the scenes with Rummy.

that's a interesting question and I suppose most people would say there is a God and so your question is stupid. I believe in a higher power, everyone calls it by different names. I don't think humans could survive IF it was totally proven there was no God. I think most people would become depressed and go into mourning. IF you believe there is no God, then there's is no evil or devil??? Just stop and think how many people have died in the name of God or for their God, IF there was no God. The subject does starts fights and I hope for the sake of debate no one gets out of control and we all learn something from this debate. Again, for most people there is a GOD!

The only thing I want Canada to have IF Harper decides to move to computer voting is ALL computers must have a paper trail, so the voter can prove who they voted for. I can't see why we should move to that, unless the it the speed of results. The US is still having problem with them and I don't trust the software not being hacked or controlled.

I don't know how much support the Cons will get from business come election day. I've seen the list of business that have these funds and all nearly do. Canadians will be hit too on their profit incomes. I guess the war is going to cost more than they thought and the money going to have to come from somewhere!

My question to all who think ill of the First Nation is, would you change places with these people, Would you live your live on a reserve? I don't many would, I wouldn't, but ,I can understand why their lives has abuse. The society of this country hasn't and probably won't accept the First Nation and so if they wanted to leave the reserves they would have to have a job and I don't think too many non- native Canadians would hire them.Both, Natives and non-Native are responsible for how these people are today and there are some that do make out into society and made a life for themselves and ALL Canadians should want that for them and other Canadians who aren't doing so well. I don't really care about them living in a hotel and us paying for it, it was the government that created the problem. Don't sweat the small stuff, be lucky you can support yourself!

I'm not for it because it wouldn't be good for ANY country to be in a partnership with the US of today. The US, today, is arrognant, power freak and it would take more than it is entitled to and who is going to stop them?? They don't keep their word, they want everything their way, so how can a country be a partner to such a country? Besides that, they are one of the biggest polluters in the world , outside of China.
