  1. He is credited with considerably boosting the economy. That's a biggy!
  2. Wonder how long it will be before someone turns this into a conspircacy theory. The Russians did it!
  3. Not familiar with some of these Beatle songs but will download and give them a listen for sure.
  4. I love Dvorak's New World Symphony, Beethoven's 5th (used in Victory at Sea) and his 9th (Ode to Joy) all of Mozart's operas and everything else.
  5. Richards was pissed off at himself because his show was bombing and he knew it. He turned his anger at himself outwards in a vicious manner. The man was out of control and the whole scene was ugly. The "N" word represents violence and KKK. This would not be my idea of a fun time. Frankly, I found him to be the only one on Seinfeld that I didn't like. The Kramer character was childish. This is a good example of the idea that every successful actor inserts a part of his own character into the role he plays.
  6. Nothing Bush and gang does surprises me. But if this is true, then why do we now need passports to enter the U.S. and vice versa? Seems to me that they have tightened up the Canadian border. But then we won't pick cotton or fruit in Florida for $2 an hour, so why let us in willy nilly?
  7. I love classical music and spend many hours listening to Dvorak, Beethoven and Mozart. But you can't underestimate the genius of the Beatles just because it's rock & roll. Or Queen, or Supertramp, or Abba or many, many others who were so incredibly talented.
  8. Your math is better than you think!
  9. Smoking is an addiction and there should be facilities available to help people kick the habit. Apparently, from what I've read, it is harder to kick than heroin. I know, I know, there aren't even enough dry out centres for drugs and alcholol let alone cigarettes. With all the big surpluses of money that the Government is hiding, they should spend some on addiction centres. That would be proactive in bringing down health care costs, decrease crime and help out kids who suffer as a result of addictions in the family environment.
  10. This is too extreme and a slippery slope. We may feel uncomfortable around women who wear them for reasons of equality or whatever. It is our individual right to ask someone to remove it in our presence but they should have the right to choose whether they do or not. We are offended when we hear of middle eastern countries that outlaw female western dress in public places for religious reasons. We think it's silly. In the west, "freedom" is our mantra and let's not forget that.
  11. Do you think that there should be a law banning smokng in homes of people who have children? This is putting kids at risk and especially babies.
  12. I remember hearing Sir Mack say nobody could replace Linda. Sadly, that has proved to be true!
  13. I don't trust anyone born after the beatles disbanded....... Yah! Beatles Rock! I'm 19, but I wish I was 60, so I could have grown up in the 60's and witness all that amazing 60's stuff, like Beatles, Hippy's, free love...I thought I could find the 60's at a Bob Dylan concert I was at last week, but the world even modernized him! Modern times are depressing...I envy you Frankie - I remember watching a "Hard Days Night" at a drive in movie with my girlfriends, screaming our heads off in the car. I remember having a great big poster of Paul McCartney on my bedroom wall. I remember getting the Beatles Twist & Shout album for my 17th birthday. I remember, I remember. Oh those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end! La La La La... Now you do the math!
