Everyone is well aware of how the BC ndp destroyed the BC economy with there last reign of terror and created thousands of economic refugees who fled the province and bragged about how they turned BC into one giant park when actually what they did was to park the economy, and are still bragging about it, and would do it again. If anyone should tune in to Sean Hannity and Rush on the radio in the US, they will heard these guys say Global warming is a Liberal idea and it's all to make money off of this. Now both drive Cadillac suv's, neither want to give up their rich good life and both are supporters of Bush and Cheney. Sean says he's had scientist come on his show and say the opposite to the global warming and so he take their ideas only. Perhaps that one thing the Cons have not going for them is most of them narrow-minded to ideas and I wonder what its going to take for them to believe this is really happening? People only have to use their common-sense and look around to see what's happening at the the North and South poles.

IF the government as soooooooo much money than why not cut back on IE premiums, cut some of the taxes on gasoline, in other words give back more to the middle-income than to give to certain groups that you want to buy their votes! Canada is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. We have alot of natural resources and ALL of us in this country should try our best to keep to clean and the air pure, as well as we can. What is wrong in look after the air, the water and the land. I was taught to look after what you have so it will last. If we don't maintain these then our health will suffer for it. I saw on the news now CHINA is getting concerned over their environment and the pollution its creating. Perhaps Bush will see the light too, then our air here in Canada will not be so polluted in the summer. You have your views and I know that most Canadians will not agree with you. I just read an article that the US military-industrial complex Raytheron landed a 727, SIX times by GPS technology at Hollomon AFB in New Mexico. This device has been common BEFORE 9/11. My concern is of 9/11 and the planes flying into the building but also our buying of US made planes and the security issue on planes being made in another country. We may be friendly with the US now but the future could change and leave us with security being controlled by the US. Also, the Raytheron company, is part of the Carlyle Group, which is made up of private investors, that buy up all types of business and will be able to control the economics of the world. Investors are mainly US former politicans under Bush Sr, Britian PM Lord, Phillipines former president and other former heads of state and Saudia Arabia. They also don't like being the center of attention.

Okay, let's look at this. We have a pair of Iranian nationals who tried to jump the queue to get into Canada. They claimed refugee status, used God only knows how much of our money through various appeals, and were ultimately told their case had no merit and to get out. While they were here, because people like you make it almost impossible to deport anyone quickly, they had a kid - an Iranian kid - born to Iranian parents. They went back to Iran when he was 2. Now they tried again to get here through trickery, using a false passport, and were caught. And they're trying to use the excuse that their kid was born here to justify us ignoring the long process they lost and let them in anyway. Exactly what responsibility do we have towards these people? None. In my view the child is no more Canadian than any other child born to foreign parents raised abroad. We should change the rules on citizenship in recognition of how small the world has become, so as to exempt children born to foreign parents who are then raised abroad. So are you saying the law should change and ALL people , whose parents were born else where should leave?? I guess the First Nation would love this law, they finally get their land back!!

Lets remember that, Harper only has a minority government, what kind of a PM would he be if he had a majority power and I think this power would go to his head and I fear that we would have a Harris/Bush government! He'd be the PM to bring back the draft. After all, you can't build up the military with no human beings to use all that equipment being ordered!

A Canadian boy and his parent are in a jail in Austin TX because they (the parents) are Iranian born and was sent back there in 2005 and were tortured. They tired to get back into Canada with a Greek passport but the US found out of their false passport, when the plane they were on had to make an emergency stop in Puerto Rico.. The boy has sent a letter to Harper begging him to help him return to Canada, where he was born. His lawyer is trying to help the family out of the holding prison where food is scarce and condition are extreme. Some groups in the US and elsewhere is trying to sue the government over the condition of this place and the treatment of this family!

Harper is giving the Ontario Liberals a good shot in the arm as far as the elctions go.( I wonder what John Tory is thinking) The BILLION $$$ for transportation will probably have no trouble passing in Parliament. The question is, will the voters of Ontario still vote for Harper and the Ontario Libs??? One has to wonder if its was Rona who was against the environment instead of Harper OR here he is again wanting something really bad, a majority government and spend our money to do it. I just wonder how much money Harper is spending. There just one problem, how is Harper going to get the support of "small town Ontario". I will say Harper is smart by offering this and I'm sure Layton, who lives in TO will vote for it!! I rather have what Martin had offered that Layton voted against it. There was something for everyone in the that budget. So far all I see for me is 1.00 something off my groceries because of the GST tax reduction.

Holy red herring batman! No one needs to get cash from a ATM machine run by a bank other than the one they deal with. There are many other options available that cost nothing. I have not paid any ATM charges in years and I do use cash regularily. Are you always within a few kilometers of a branch of your bank? Do you have all your bank's ATMs in the country mapped out on your GPS? And what about the hundred other fees banks charge? Can you choose to not have a bank account? Perhaps Canadians should go back to dealing with the banks and the tellers and make the bank rehire their lay off employees because of the ATM machines. Instead of making all that money, they would be paying it out as wages.

I do believe that the govt make sure that Boeing would get the bid because they change the type of plane and Boeing is the only maker that makes that type of plane. When all this come out Canadians will be surprised how much this govt is paying out on the military. When this war is long over we'll still be paying off the debt on this.

The coal burning pollution may be able to over come its pollution soon. A US business man has found a way to change coal from a solid to a liquid and when its burned it doesn't pollute the air. He going to set up this company in Mississippi and this will help to solve the pollution of coal. I'm sure there alot of people like this man that have ideas but do the big oil companies want us to move away from oil and its dangers to the air?

Well, I never saw the interview but he could have meant that Harper is taking the country in the wrong direction, in his opinion, and Canadians need the opposition back in power. As far as arrogant is concerned, one only has to tune into Parliament and listen and watch the young Cons and their leader. I, too not sure who I will vote for but its NOT going to be Harper. I wish the PC's were a party by themselves, Harper and the Alliance gang has rude the word "conservative" as far as I'm concern.

I watch CTV "Question period" and sat there and watched O'Connor tell an untruth! He was asked about the 3 missing Afghans that the Canadian soldiers captured and was asked were they where. He said he didn't KNOW, BUT HE knew they would be found. I think they the military shipped them off to be tortured and is not saying. In Parliament, this former lobbyist, seem to be bothered to have to get up and say the same speech he has down pat for ALL questions.

I don't see as desserting, see it as knowing when to step down if it means your party is better off with a person who can do a better job as leader. How many people could do this?? Not many and Dion may not fit the bill as a leader but he loves his country and will do anything to help his country and his party. I respect a person more to know when its time to leave. Harper, on the other hand wouldn't even think of this, he's too much as Bush!
