Any person that says the NDP is libertarian is a complete idiot. The NDP wants to directly interven in peoples lives, they want to shut down debate on abortion, gay rights, employment equity, multiculturalism, and a host of other social issues. As for the NDP supporting the average Canadian, that is complete BS. The vast majority of Canadian's want the Kadhrs deported, and would like to see the government get out of their personal life. The NDP has forced children to learn about the joys of gay sex in BC, starting at the age of ten. As for the NDP supporting the family farm, that is a complete joke. Does any farmer really support the idea of his kids learning how to have safe anal sex, and being forced to believe that homosexuality is a healthy lifestyle, I highly doubt it. By the way those New Democrats that say that what happens in the bedroom between consenting adults is their own business are idiots. The reason why is that human rights commissions have forced small towns, and Edmonton to have gay pride parades that display leather clad men, and S&M. So what the left is trying to do is shove homosexuality down everybodies throats. If the NDP believes that they are representative of the average joe, than why are they against referendums on abortion, gay rights, or a host of social issues. The NDP also supports giving more money to the Canadian version of PRAVDA to tell the masses on the beauty of comrade Layton, and the great 5 year plan. I would also like to add if the NDP is against freedom of speech being used to incite hatred against gay's, why did'nt the NDP condemn the left wing nuts at Concordia who were creating hatred towards the jews, and spitting on jews. Can't any New Democrats say that spitting on jews, and assaulting jews is wrong. Yeah the NDP's Jack Layton represents the average joe, if you disclude middle class Canadians, and white straight Canadians. Right now I would like to get into the RCMP, guess what my biggest problem with my personal character is. Your a white male, we already have white male's, so you have to get 86% of the test, and a minority has to get 63%. I guess the only people that thinks that is fair are the NDP. Also a majority of Canadian's want terrorists deported from this country, the NDP wants to welcome them, and give them the same rights as me and you. Yeah its hard to be a left winger in a politically correct world . You know, because the left has lost on every single issue that has come about, if you discount immigration, abortion, gay rights, envriomentalism. Oh and not to mention how Human Rights Commissions are always going after them just because of their religous beliefs. Its completely stupid to consider the New Democrats centrist. I did a political test on Politopia and I was actually in the center. www.politopia.com. Any party that is 100% supportive of gay rights, abortion, feminism, enviromental activism, pro immigration, and against the war on Osama Bin Laden is not a centrist party. In reality the only centrist party is the Conservative party, due to the fact they have middle of the road positions on every issue facing Canadians. While the lib's and NDP are simply left wing on all issues such as immigration, multiculturalism, abortion, feminism, and gay rights.

Hey guys remember that the left wing has created many of the worlds greatest democracies. Remember the 1917 revolt led by Lenin, or the Revolution in Cuba. Also remember that left wingers like Trudeau were extremely supportive of the democratic government in China led by Mao.

The NDP's only real goal is to call anybody that disagrees with their radical social policies a bigot. I think that the New Democrats actually believe that the Soviet Union was much better than the United States. Whats so great about the NDP. Does'nt the NDP support Euthanasia, and is 100% Pro-Abortion. If the NDP got in all of Canada would turn into Vancouver's east side. Jack Layton probably prefers communists over American's, and has talked about how marijuana is a wonderful drug. I find that man sick, some people get hooked on marijauna, and then move onto harder drugs.

I found that some teachers whine about how the whole world hates them, and how they deserve to be treated like gods. Even in Alberta, despite the fact teachers can easily make 65000+, more than police constables or firefighters, they treat themselves as if they are better than most other people.

No offense Black Dog, but most left wingers believe that they should have the right to cram morality down people's throats. This can be seen in the Alberta case were a pub owner asked a same sex couple to stop fondling each other. So if you believe in personal freedom so much, than you must respect freedom of religion, and freedom of expression.

Actually the bar owner only told them to stop doing it. He has every right to do so. He did'nt say, your gay ,we don't want your hear. All he said was some people don't approve of that behavior and you should have to stop it. Canada can't be classified as a nation. We have nothing in common. This can be seen in our social values. This country will probably seperate by 2020. Western Canada will probably seperate, or join up with the state due to the fact their sick of living by Central Canada's rule. Atlantic Canada will be sick of relying on everybody else, and decide to go on their own, and Central Canada will still be Canadian. I think that in a few years Canada will simply become the 51st state, due to the fact the military is in poor condition, and that we no longer share the same values that we shared before Trudeau came in. Alot of the American's that I have talked to said their is no difference between America and Canada. I find it pretty pathetic that we can only find pride in our blatant anti-Americanism.

I think I would be supportive of the war in Vietnam, due to the fact that it was an effort to stem the flow of communism. However I am against the idea of forcing countries to accept democracy. I know that it sounds idealistic to spread democracy and liberty abroad but it does not work. Lets look at America, who brought them liberty, themselves. Wilson who was interventionist believed that democracy must be exported, and interventionism on the part of the states created the second world war. If people want democracy then I would support them 110%, but we should'nt force feed it down their throats.

Wait for the election, these results are irrelevant. Once the election hits we will see who will gain government, or the opposition. Layton could do well, or burn, Harper could do well or burn. Remember the Quebec election, everybody said the Liberal's would lose, and they won a landslide majority.
