Alright I can't contain my anger over what this bastard is trying to say. Once I went to a veteran's hall, and the majority were pro-alliance, and conservative. The majority of senior citizens have conservative beliefs regarding traditional values, and have strongly supported social justice while maintaining traditional institutions. Relatives of my family fought for this country, and some even saw the horror's of the concentration camps. They are supportive of traditional values, so they should be sent to the gas chambers eh. Well I think that BC will probably give a massive majority to the conservative's once again, simply due to the fact that most liberal and NDP support is in the lower mainland and that is about it. Vote splitting on the left may also occur between the liberals, new democrats, and green party, allowing conservative to get a large number of seats.

Well I'm actually dissapointed with how the campaign is being run. I was recently out door knocking, and a person asked me what the candidates position on abortion was I simply answered, "The party believes in free votes on social issues such as abortion and gay rights" He wanted to talk to the candidate about her position, however later it was decided by other members of the campaign team to simply ignore him. I find it a bit sad that we have to ignore people because of political correctness and social liberalism. However MS you have to answer the question of social conservatism in the conservative camp, before wondering what a coalition may look like because it might turn out to be a battle between political correctness, social liberalism vs traditional values, social conservatism. It was alot simpler back in the day because pretty well every party was social conservative, and would argue over economic matters, now its every party is different in terms of social issues, and most parties agree on fiscal issues.

It appears that were headed for a minority government, the conservatives could win 98 seats, while the liberals win a 135 seat minority. The NDP would only have 21 seats which is fairly poor when all things are considered. MS I could'nt help it

Well Jack Layton should realize that the homeless are'nt the only ones that are neglected in todays society. I think that it's a bit sad that we call ourselves a compassionate society, when very few citizens give their time to a homeless shelter, or even help out in any way possible to get the poor off the streets. But than again some people feel that abortion is a horrific act, however if a person were to cry over that they would be considered a "nazi". So if we want a society were we take care of each other than we probably have to do the following. - Outlaw abortion - Outlaw Euthanasia - Outlaw cloning - Help out with homeless shelters - Reform health care to shorten waiting lines, and also make it law that any person under the age of 18 is entitled to free health care no matter what. - Break trade agreements with any nation that harbours terrorists, or terrorizes its people. - Put more police constable's on the street. I find that we are in a shortage of compassionate police constables, lets hire some more and get them to patrol our streets - Put pedophiles, rapists, murderers, and dangerous criminals in jail, and make sure that no person can get out to hurt another innocent person.

In order for a coalition to work these policies must be adopted. - Democratic reforms [senate reform], as well as recall initiatives, and possibly referenda - Social Issues- leave social issues such as abortion and gay rights up to the members, or put it to a referendum. - NDP must abondon its radical anti-americanism, and support the war on terror. - Conservatives must at the same time support good relations with the US as well as keep Canada independant. - Lets give welfare to people that need it, and lets not give welfare to those who are simply lazy. - Any crime against a person should be considered a hate crime, no matter what the color/sex/gender/ sexual orientation. So if a gay man attacks a christian than that should be considered a hate crime. - Human Rights Commissions are useless in todays democracy, instead if a person feels that they have been mistreated than they should file a complaint with the police. Actually down in the states many conservative politicians are supportive of tariffs, and protecting industries, such as Pat Buchanan. As for taxes, I think that the tax rate should stay the same, however for every child a family has they should be entitled to get $1000 off their taxes each year I actually support high taxes for multinational corporations such as Wal-Mart, at the same time businesses owned in Canada should have their taxes reduced. I guess you can say I am abit of a Canadian nationalist. Protect Canadian industry while maintaining the moral fabric that has guided this country through world war 1, the depression, and world war 2. Why does'nt anybody criticize Quebec for their langauge policies. The fact is bilingualism does need a major overhaul. For example in BC their is'nt much of a need for french speaking civil servants, but their is a need for Mandirin speaking ones. My opinion, leave langauge policy up to the provinces

Actaully I blame the death on homeless people not on the government but on society. I get sick of people always asking the government to do all the charity work for them. Why don't you guys volunteer your time at a homeless shelter, or even better let the homeless live with you.

Homosexuality is not a healthy lifestyle. I believe that homosexuality is wrong. But I do not go around trying to kill homosexuals and believe that society should care for homosexuals. But I draw the line when the homosexual lifestyle is flaunted in main street, and my town is forced to have a gay pride parade. Would you like me to list all of the different type of anal/oral sex that can be preformed. I know heterosexuals have some perverted fetishes to, but I doubt schools encourage it.

I think that its important that all region's feel that they have a say in what happens. Currently western Canadians feel as though they don't have adequate representation, and are forced to vote for the governing party. With an elected senate, the government will be forced to compromise on every issue facing Canadian's. This is why Preston Manning supported senate reform, and this is why the western provinces supported reform.

I believe that at some school's in British Columbia kids as young as 10 were learning about homosexual relationships. I myself believe that school's should teach that its wrong to preach hatred against homosexuality, however a school must never ever preach that homosexuality is an acceptable/healthy lifestyle due to the fact it might conflict with peoples beliefs. Actually now a days parents have very little control over what values their children are taught. At school's their are drugs, sex, and violence. I myself believe that we should make laws that protect children from pedophiles, drug dealers, and the scumbags in society. Most girls that end up going into prostitution are from middle class/ suburban homes. They are forced into it, due to the fact that they may be introduced to drugs by predators. Once girls are hooked they are forced into prostitution to help feed their habit. Here is what I propose to help children -$3000 off every child - Raise the age of consent to 18, this will allow the parents to make sure their children are safe from scumbags - Create a zero-tolerance rule for drug dealing, caught once drug dealing 5 years in prison, second time drug dealing 10 years in prison, third time life imprisonment. - We should start to build jails up in the arctic for violent offenders. This way if any tried to escape they would probably die in the cold, or at the least be to far away from civilization to hurt any innocents. - Get more school resource officers, I believe that their should be a school resource officer at each and every school to provide support to those who need help - Ban all pornography depicting a person under the age of 18 - Ban materials from school's that promote sexual values that many parents don't believe in, S&M, Homosexual, Anal, etc. Need I say more - Sex Ed programs should focus more on how students should deal with responsibilty, and promote safe sex and abstinence as option. Sex ed programs should also focus on how teens should deal with sexual abuse

Wow NDP Newbie, I'm glad that theirs a New Democrat on here with common sense. I'd say that PR won't work. Call me pro American but I prefer the US system. The people can elect a congress that is similar to the parlimentary system, and then vote for senators based on regional break down. This ensure that all regions feel they have an equal say. I would'nt give 10 senate seats to each province, I think that this is how I'd structure the senate 40 seats- Ontario/Quebec 40 seats- West 20 seats- Atlantic I also believe this system will force government to compromise on alot of issues such as same sex marriage, gun control etc. The only people against it are the left wingers, who tend to win every issue because Ontario keeps on electing brainwashed backbenchers.

I think that a bigger problem is that people who want to form families here at home are having trouble doing. Back in the 50's and 60's the government had a family allowance for all families. This helped bring up the birth rate, perhaps we should all give middle class families a break from some taxes for having children. I know the lib's give like $150 off for those with five children, but what can $150 help.

The NDP has'nt gotten over 20% in a single poll you posted. I don't buy the crap that Layton has the momentun, I don't even see him on the news. His policies are all out of whack, and he forced a member of his parliment not to vote on gay marriage because her constituents did not support gay marriage. The latest Compass poll had the Conservatives at 31%, Liberals at 39%, and NDP at about 17%. NDP are losing, and Jack Layton is'nt that good at debating, Canadian's will think he is a doofus.
