Wow Canadian's are really scared, especially since the conservative's get 35% of the vote compared to 31% for the liberals. The strategy by Paul Martin is failing, their are lots of socially conservative liberals in Ontario, Jean Chretien always said that votes on abortion and same sex marriage are free votes. It seems that Martin believes that those votes should not be allowed. Thus we will probably end up with a 40%-45% Conservative majority due to a coalition of disgruntled socially conservative liberals, fiscal conservatives, libertarians, and red tories.

Conservatism tends to have a high value on community values, which means that a society shares the same values such as charity, strong families, and supporting victims of crime and punishing those who commit crime. In a conservative society the people are allowed to do as they wish economically, however in the social relm a society must support certain values that preserve human life, tradition, and the family.

I think that those two are alot more moderate than either Hitler or Stalin. Thats the one big flaw in the test, FDR and Buchanan are no where close to Stalin and Hitler. I think that you have to have alot of respect for those 55+. The reason why is simple they lived through hardship, and have fought to keep traditional institutions.
