  1. I also point to how much time is spent talking - on this forum itself - about how "the east" or "the west" or "quebec" or "the atlantic" or "toronto" is "the problem"
  2. Riding workers etc in Quebec are chosen either by the party that won the riding - in this case the Liberals - or the sitting government - in this case the Liberals. Please stop posting on things you are uneducated on.
  3. Not nearly as much, as often, as wide-spread, and as hate-filled as we do, no.
  4. Just to note http://riding-by-riding.blogspot.ca/ is my election projection website. And to answer about Canada being not broken: why has Quebec been full of seppies for decades? And why does the West still feel like it does not belong?
  5. Canada is one of the only federations that has been tugged at for so long without breaking apart at the seams, and only BECAUSE we are so stable, prosperous, and successful. Should we lose any of that, our country shatters like a dinner plate dropped on a solid floor. As for my projections, we will see. Not only do they provide entertainment for my readers but for myself.
  6. Didn't Parizeau write about PSAC in his book? Saying that he offered a deal to PSAC, saying they could keep their jobs in an independent Quebec? It was a bluff of course, Quebec has no power to force the issue. The problem is that it scared government workers in Quebec City and they voted NON in large enough numbers to defeat the Referendum. Parizeau goes on to suggest that Quebec take pains to never ever again offer PSAC this kind of deal. (hat tip to Paul wells)
  7. Oh, and in case you are not following my projection website - the PQ will win over 70 seats.
  8. I've been witness to the aftermath (bloody nose, yelling) of an attempted date rape in a college dorm. The targeted girl was the only one in the room wearing pants VS a miniskirt. If you want to rape someone, pants won't stop you. Luckily the 6 or so other girls in the room fought the guy off, the targeted girl was flopped on a bed and was fine the next morning. I stand by my statement that girls sometimes make bad decisions that get themselves into trouble, and those who do are more likely to make bad decisions in other areas of their lives.
  9. This will all blow over in a week or two, and this sort of thing will start to become normal and standard.
  10. Canada hasn't worked properly since the 60's. It's been on life support. Another PQ government pulls the plug.
  11. You are not pro teacher union, if you were, you'd be trying to convince the public that their stance is right.
  12. He should apply this to all public sector workers. He should also apply a 1/3rd wage cut to all public sector workers of all sorts paid from the provincial purse. Eliminate the deficit by tomorrow, literally.
  13. The PQ's whole plan for government is to make trouble. They will make trouble with 50% support or 5% support.
  14. Yes, and it would work wonders.
  15. I used to live in Atlantic Canada. The reason it is poor is (written from an Atlantic prospective) A - They took all our wood to build the British Navy B - They took all our fish to feed Canada C - They colonized the first places they saw - Atlantic Canada is god awful for farming D - They cut the chunks too small (provinces) E - They steal our best and brightest F - They all want to come here to retire (and use our govt services) G - They expect all our stuff (Fish, Wood, etc) to be cheap H - They enact policies that are good for other areas before us I - They try to pay us off with govt dollars in ways that don't work J - They say "no" when we ask to switch to govt dollars that will work K - They. (Part of the problem is us and our attitude towards "Them")
  16. If you are born and raised in the Atlantic, and you learn any, ANY useful skills, you get the hell out of there and move to a province that will pay you well. The reason why the Atlantic is so poor is because all the skilled workers have moved to other provinces.
  17. Are you going to even try to make a post that supports your own position?
  18. This election, unintentionally I think, asks one major question. Can Canada ever work, as it is, without serious and major reform. If the PQ wins a majority, the answer is no.
  19. None of that matters. The teachers won't even make a positive case for themselves. Until they do, none of the arguments matter.
  20. A series of decisions need to be made to decide to show off your entire body to the world with the intention of making them horny (IE, dressing like a slut) These are bad decisions, and show a lack of quality decision making and proper judgement. I think people associate it with bad things happening to you (like rape) as if you lack proper judgement, you may be more likely to put yourself in a situation where you are not safe.
  21. If you want to stop the spam you need to be pro active and not just respond after the fact.
  22. I've decided not to report any spam until the moderators, administrators, and facilitators (who have each-other's jobs according to the dictionary, but whatever) actually respond to this thread.
  23. Why hate teachers because other people work harder? There are millions of jobs in this country alone where people who work hard are paid far far less than people who do not work hard. Why single out Teachers for this? Frankly, Teachers are hated due to their own pure stupid idiocy, they have no bothered trying to win anyone over. They just sit around and circle jerk with their friends about how great they are and how anyone who disagrees with them is oh so wrong and therefore do not need to be paid attention to. The Teachers Union is Ontario's answer to the Tea Party. It might not be right-wing, but it is blind, pig headed, stubborn, unwilling to listen to the public, unwilling to convince the public they are right, willing to attack, willing to dismiss, and very very willing to get public attention without putting in any effort to win over all their new viewers. Edit Put me in charge of Teachers Unions and you'll get a victory in 2 weeks, tops.
  24. The NDP is in the race - not just in this riding but across the province - for the same reason that I voted for the Ontario NDP last time around. People are pissed off at the Liberals. Left-wing and moderate progressive voters are angry at the Liberals for being Tory Lite Right-wing and fiscal conservatives are angry at the Liberals for being worse at the till than the NDP The only people left who back the Liberals are those who are afraid of Hudak (large number) and those who are afraid of the Ontario NDP (shrinking number) If the PC Party and NDP both have a strong campaign next election, the Liberals will be lucky to find a dozen seats.
  25. With all fairness, I know very little about Rob Ford or Krista Ford, and even less about use Bleeding Heart, but from what I know, he IS superior to both of them combined.
